Haven't had a feel good moment for a while. Just little things here and there. Nothing to really write home to Mom about. *sighs*

I got one! I got one!
Even through all the pain I have been in today...
I took my hubby out to breakfast for Father's day...
Then we went to the store and picked up a few things, came home, repotted the beautiful marigolds that he bought me yesterday, and hung up the really pretty hanging basket of red flowers he bought me today. Then he took me back out and bought me my lounge chair for the deck so I could lay out in the sun during my healing time. ^^ and bought me some candles. He spoiled me rotten today! And it's Father's Day!!
But don't despair...he did get his gift. He wanted this special saw for work (he's a trim carpenter), so I went out yesterday and bought it for him. Hehe. And today, the boys got him some really nice cards.
All in all, it's turned out to be a really nice weekend. (For once) Thank god.
*of course she's pretty sure that the pain killers had something to do with feeling that good*

[glow=green,2,300]Today is a pretty feel good moment. We all have moments of depression in our daily lives, but its days like I had today that make me relise that we all have such beautiful and gorgeous things to live for.
See, as many of you know, I have been absent for a small while from these very boards. What kept me from the boards is a minor detail that in all reality doesn't matter, if someone really wanted to know, they could call me, cause those who have my new cell phone number are those who have accepted me as there friend. Anyhow, I got together with my parents today, we all had a really good time and while I was there, I found a childrens book in my old stuff that my mom used to read me when I was a child. What does this matter? It made me relise that in life, I may be struggling now, but as long as I have the dreams to keep me going, I will be successful. That book made me relise that I really do look forward to being a father one day, so I can read that childrens book to my son or daughter like my mother did for me. For feel good moments this may sound odd, but it really did make me get over all the depression I have been suffering from.[/glow]

*pets Christa*
One more feel good moment for the day...
My house is clean!! Why is it that you feel so much better when your house is clean and looks really nice? *shrugs* I don't know, but I love the feeling I get when I look around and know that if someone were to just show up, I would be perfectly comfortable with having company. *wonders if that makes any sense at all*
Now all I have to do is catch up on my laundry. Ugh. I think that is the one thing that I hate doing the most. Yup.

Here is my feel good moment that happened today...As everyone who has read the boards knows my wallet was stolen a month ago...The Rochelle PD called me today...They found my wallet...Well actually someone found it in a lake out there and turned it in...The sad thing...Everything in there is ruined...The happy thing...That one good deed by someone made my day...They did not have to turn it in...They could have thrown it away...I may not be able to save anything but I am going to go pick it up anyway...

Hello everyone, contrary to popular belief I did not fall off the face of the earth, just the western hemisphere. I had a Feel good moment the other day. Thought Id share it with yall. After a grueling 12 hour force march through a not so friendly town...we came upon a group of kids playing soccer. One of them fell and skinned their knee, so, being the hero of a medic I am, I walk over and put a band-aid on it. The little kid jumped up and gave me a hug and ran off. Its little shit in a warzone that counts and makes you remember why were helping these people. Thanx

Wow.. keep safe dear and thank you. That is an amazing story and really helps to put some things in perspective. I think that's what everything should be about, whether you are in a war zone or a crowded mall. Those little kindnesses that just seem to make it all better.
