You know what Nym mun that is a bunch of bulls**t. I have a friend who works as a dispatcher for one of the worst counties in Illinois. And she is not that cynical. She still has hope that after her alcoholic ex husband, who by the way shoved her round when she was pregnant, she will find a nice guy. And guess what? She has. Now if she could get past the age thing all would be right with the world. I actually feel sorry for you. Not all men are like that. Just like all women are not bitches. And Faust mun I hate to tell you this but maybe you were looking for the wrong kind of woman. I have noticed that men who go after the "hot babes" are usually the ones who get screwed. Why? Cause they are hot and feel they can get away with it. Am I babbling? Yep. Why? Cause these kinds of threads annoy me. You both are grouping women into one category. Brainless twits who like to be abused. I am not a square peg. Stop trying to put me in a round hole.

THAT was what I said. How long has your friend been at it? The county I work for is very close to Atlanta, a rapidly growing, huge county that has certain areas that are bad with gang activity, some places I wouldn't live in if they wanted to pay me, and still manages to have some places with pastures and cows. It's diverse, it's busy and we have to make use of what we have. Higher ups who enjoy adding petty issues on top of what stress the job already generates, calls that ring nonstop so you don't get to stop and breathe when something upsetting happens, a system that has more bugs than is settling and a radio system that has had bad areas for years and no one seems to care if we can't hear the units... lets waste money on new things that we don't need instead!
We are also one of the best in the state.
Don't come on here and accuse me of lumping people in a category when all I was doing to begin with was stick up for the 'nice guys' in the world. I haven't lied in a single post that I've placed up here, this is my years of experience, my years working where I work and doing my job. I have NOT attacked a single person on this thread while I started my opinion. I feel, however, that the asterisks don't hide the fact that you are cursing at me and even throwing in things as though you have any idea what my job is like. I deserve more respect than that.
If Faust mun's original post can be bashed based on a generalization, then I am just as free to generalize a specific sort of female. Not all 'nice guys' would have written what was originally put up. I doubt many guys would even look at that and agree on all points.
Your dislike of my statements, claiming they lump everyone into a category, which I didn't do... quit nitpicking on ONE single sentance and ignoring everything else I write... is NO different from my disliking that you immediately react badly to a post on the premise that, God forbid, women aren't the saints in the post.... when the point in Faust putting it up, I think, is to say there was hope.... ie, even the one who wrote the thing didn't think or say all women were like that. There ARE women like that in the world, though, and I'll defend the nice guys in the world as vehemently as you seem to be defending... who the hell are you defending? Unless you proudly go around calling yourself typical, stop getting up in arms over something that isn't even directed at you personally.

Now on to the rest of your babble.
My friend has been doing this for seven years. And what you think things in Illinois are different then in the south. We have the same things up here that you do down there. She works channel one up here and has dealt with it all. From cow tipping to someone screaming in the phone cause they are being beat up. So things are no different anywhere in this country.
And yes I am accusing you. We can back to one of your earlier posts where you stated your "typical" female wants to be treated badly. I have friends who are "typical" and in no way shape or form do they wanted to be treated badly. And yes I was cursing. The asterisks were put there so my post was not deleted by the powers that be. (No offense Kyle and Shari) No I don't know what your job is like. But I do know what my friends job is like. And respect is not something you deserve. It is something you earn. I am entitled as a human being to dislike anything. It is my right.
I am defending women in general. Not all women are bitches. Just like I do feel not all men are a**holes. your freaking out over the fact that I defended my point of view and heaven forbid I should be allowed to do that here. Wow I thought this is where I could go to express my point of view.

I honestly don't think that either of you are wrong. I'm agreeing with mostly Nym-mun with this since there are a lot of city girls that are looking for those a**hole bad guys out there. I mean, I lived in B-more my enitre.. well most of my life and I know what it's like to live in a 'big' city.
Tempest- Stop picking at something that Tasha has said. If you want to pick at her then do it with more then just ONE sentance. I can't believe that anyone would rant over something that Faust-mun has gotten in his E-MAIL and decided to share with us.
I think everyone is allowed their opinion, but in no way shape or form has Nym-mun not deserve the respect that you don't seem to want to show to her.
Now that is my 2 cents of the day.

Whoa! Ok, I think it's time to lock up this thread. It's going to get nasty. I can see it coming. And yes, everyone has a right to their thoughts and opinions. Angel, if Nym can express hers, then so can Tempest, as well as myself and you. If someone has something to say, that is fine. But seeing as it's becoming a bashing contest here, I am going to be locking it up. I refuse to let this sort of thing go on on these boards.
