Sorry for not getting to the message boards sooner.
Where to start?
First off, very little information was given last night; it was a simple "Gelina has been captured by Demous". I've never been pants-wettingly exited by the Demous S/L, so I did not react with extreme enthusiasm...but this should not be confused with apathy for Gelina's well being.
I think that if everyone calms down a bit and examines the root of the problem, they would find that KoGM rule #10 (which IIRC Nicho did not just make up on the spot) is very relavent.
Given the circumstances (late at night, lack of enthusiasm towards a tired s/l) I don't see what was so wrong about postponing any significant action until the next night. What did you honestly expect us to do? Jump from our seats and charge out the door to save Lina before it was too late? I don't even think Jamie was still online at that point.

Once again...I repeat...if someone would have spoken up about them "being tired" or "getting ready to go to bed" ... I don't think that those that were involved last night with me would have gotten upset. I would have had no problem with that. I Have the post of what was said about the sl...it was a brush off...that is where I got offended.

I do not remember what was said verbatim, but I have a pretty clear idea of it. If I recall correctly, Nicho responded that Demous would be begging for us to take Lina back. Kolava then agreed with the joke, and the conversation moved on.
I can see how this might be viewed as a "brush off", or as total disregard for Lina's safety. The fact remains, though, that nothing was meant by it. It was a simple sentence, intended mostly as a joke and brought into being by two muns who were not, to quote myself, pants-wettingly enthusiastic about the SL.
While no furious shaking of the fist or sobbing cries for vengence took place, it would be untrue to say Nicho did not care about the news. Afterall, even as I write this very response, Nicho is fighting (in an adventure) to rescue Lina.
One last note in response to a suggestion that was made to "ban the s/l". Where is it stated that a s/l doesn't deserve to exist if even one person does not like it? Are you implieng that Nicho does not have the right to not take part in a s/l if that is his preference?

No but then again...::scrolling up to look at Nicho's posts on the boards:: He has stated that he "hates" the sl...but is still participating in it. Hmm...let me get this straight...he wasn't happy with the sl...said something in the chat ooc about "not letting it bother him" ..referring to the sl not being "discussed" with him...but then he goes and rp's it out anyway? I guess I am just really confused now...and I made the statement of banning it...cuz it was made to sound like others didn't like the sl either...and yes I am making a big deal out of this...and yes I am still ruffling feathers..why? because no one can keep thier stories straight. I am sure after all is said and done I will have probably lost Nicho and Kyle over all of this...which will really suck cuz I consider Kyle a friend...a good one...I love him to death...but this whole thing just doesn't make any sense...if Jamie pissed off that many people with the sl...then it should have been put to rest. If Nicho hates it so much...don't play in it at all...I have backed out of it...why they are trying to rescue her I don't know...I told Jamie I was out of it...obviously he didnt' listen to me...

After reading those fragments I think I understand now. The problem, if there ever was one, has been cleared up, but now there is unresolved anger that needs to be blown off. I can sympathise with this, but I won't condone anyone who speaks ill of what Nicho did without a solid argument. As for losing Kyle as a friend, I highly doubt it. He is very mature and doubtlessly understands what made you think the way you did. This entire issue, like so many others, arised out of a simple misunderstanding; I'm sure we can leave it behind us and move on.  |

Well here I go so everyone brace yourself...I read the logs of Tempest being kidnapped and tortured and while it was all fine and dandy and I have no problem with the SL what bothered me was that no one in the hall asked if she was all right. That bothered me as well as others not asking if she knew if Lina was all right. I was not expecting as Lava would put it "" wetting "" excitement but don't you think someone could have at least asked if Temepest was all right...And asked if she knew if Lina was all right...
:: cants her head :: And if there are those out there who do not like the SL with Demous...Why is it still around?

I regret not asking Tempest if she was alright; it was nothing intentional. Had I been more awake, I probably would have.
As for Desari's question: Jamie still wishes to continue it, and no one has a reason for him to stop. There are still many willing to be victimised by Demous and/or go on his adventures, so it would be wrong of anyone to prevent more from occuring. The personal tastes of a person gives them the right to not participate in a s/l, but it doesn't give them the right to attempt to force another's s/l to a close.

Alright, I'd like to post (with Lina's consent) on her behalf and my own for this subject. First of all I'd like to ask those that do not like this SL please do try to stay away from it in the mainstream of things. However we do have rules that should be utilized, such as makeing sure members are alright when they return from something harsh. Secondly I'd like to happily report that Lina is no longer pulling out of the SL and instead the adventure to rescue her will be done on a time and date of Kyle, and Shari's chooseing. We'll probably have it posted under the Post Role Playing page or around here somewhere. So remember to come back often and have a nice day/night/whatever.
