-OOC Note-
Hey everyone. Feel free to post in this storyline, even if you are not interested in interacting with the current events of it. The underlying motif of this storyline is to be loneliness. So if your character ever feels, or has ever been, please feel free to post. I think it will be a good way to grasp many of our character's backgrounds, and perhaps later down the road when I see where everyone takes this idea, I can pull it all together somehow. I appreciate everyone's participation, and look forward to reading your posts. Thank you.
-End OOC-
Black eyes stared forth from the trees onto the path from the stables. His mane of fire flickered violently in the night's breeze, that flaming tail swishing back and forth. The wind blew against his brown hair, the mighty Ifrit watching the female elf who rode upon her horse. He locked eyes with her crystalline blue orbs, before watching her ride off away from the lands of Goldenmyst. A few moments later, a pitiful howl echoed throughout the lands.
Amras wandered through the trees of the forest, almost as if sulking. He had fallen so quickly for the woman, and he knew the feelings were reciprocal. It was what made the goodbye so hard. He came to the fields, moving to laying on top of a rock and stare up into the night's stars. They had their own lives to live, one in the lands of the Mysts, and the other in Rhydin's countryside.
Amras stayed there for what seemed like hours. He thought about the woman he had fallen for, and how much she had reminded him of Anjallie. His thoughts wandered from his first love to the others that had held a special place in his heart. Then his thoughts wandered to Riley and Gelina and what they shared between them. His thoughts continued to roam, falling upon Syn and Nym. Amras had not been told of their divorce, but he had known what had happened just by looking at both of them. What did it mean to love? Why was it that the words were used so openly, yet often caused such heartbreak.
Finally stirring from his rock, he moved back to the path and headed to wards the castle. It was past midnight now, and early into the morning. He moved slowly, never leaving his demonic state.

The dark blue dragon was making her late night rounds around the mountains.. then over the fields and finally the forest. Taking a deep breath of air she decided that nothing was bothering the Kingdoms this evening and so she moved in lazy circles downwards to land. Sighing to herself for a moment. Encased in her own thoughts.
Descending towards the ground she slowly lowered her back legs to touch the ground, and slowly moved onto the front. Stretching her wings fully and then folding them neatly onto her back. Deep emerald eyes, as they were in her dragon form, started to shift.
Closing those beautiful orbs she let herself shift back into her human form. She had felt a presence near by, and thought she would investigate. It was of a person she didn't know well, but she knew he resided in the Kingdom.
Placing her hands neatly in front of her she slowly made her way towards this figure, sitting alone. She could remember her own days alone. It was always sad.. staying up and waiting for someone that cared to come back. Taking a few steps closer she stopped to think about it, maybe she should call out to the person as if not to scare him. Nodding to herself on the idea.
"Good Morning to you.. Tis a wonderful evening."

He paused as he was about to take off down the path back to the castle, turning his head to look at the one who had called to him. He knew of this woman, that she was a dragon, and close to Nym...but other than that, he knew nothing. Turning around, the Ifrit walked back towards her.
"Wonderful is in the eye of the beholder. What one may interpret as wonderful, may not be to another."
He chuckled to himself a bit, shaking his head.
"But I suppose by saying that, I am just being bitter again, no?"
A smirk played across his lips as he looked from the stars back to the woman. He sat down on his hind legs, watching her with black eyes. Amras remained silent, perhaps waiting for her response.

" I can never take away ye right ta be bitter. No matter the occasion.."
Looking towards him for a moment, then to the stars above. Giving a gentle sigh, mostly to herself.
" What brings ye out here this late in the eve? Most are already in bed."
Her attention brought back to him, she didn't know much about him.. only that they had brought him back. She wasn't the type to ask why she was asked of the adventure, but curiosity might get to her soon enough.
Angels deep ocean blues focusing on the mans face. Seeming to memorize each detail.. the unique scent. She gave a gentle smile, she wasn't.. a outward person. Not to someone she didn't know.

He watched the woman, black hues following her gaze to the stars for a moment. He looked at her blue eyes, before turning his gaze to the ground. They reminded him to much of the elven maiden who had just left. Standing up, he would pad a bit closer to her.
"Originally, I was walking someone back to the castle."
He paused a moment, before continuing.
"Which then turned into an unfortunate goodbye. and a night of thought."
He slumped to the ground, his hind legs out to the side, paws under his head as he rested it atop them.
"Yourself?"

"Night patrols.."
Answering him as she had watched him move out of the corner of her eye. Then slowly she moved to sit down upon the cool evening ground.
Leaning back now as she rested on her hand. Wondering on a subject or two. Keeping conversation with the male creature.
"How is it you died?"
Knowing that they had brought this one back.. she slowly moved her gaze to him.
"If memories are too painful ye nae have ta answer.."

He grew silent at her question. For a long time, he let the silence settle between them. Black eyes closed as he shifted his head on his paws as he remembered everything so very clearly.
"There was a man who lived in GoldenMyst by the name of Kay. I use then term "lived" because I am not sure if he is still here."
Eyes opened to look at the woman as he continued.
"His father was a very powerful demon known as the Crimson King," he sighed softly, "but first, I should tell you about my demonic state. Although as you clearly see, I have control over shifts and using its power, that control is not entirely absolute."
Amras had never talked openly about what was inside him. At least, not to the extent he was about to. Why was it that he chose to now?
"I was told I was born of an Ifrit who disguised himself and mated a wood elf. Apparently, I was born a monstrosity, half this creature and half wood elf."
He paused for a moment, remembering certain details of the story that he carefully left omitted...at least for now.
"When it was found out that my father was a demon, my father was slain and my mother forced to flee to save me." He had no sign of emotion when speaking of his parents, as after all, Amras had not known them. "My mother was killed in the forest by a group of bears that had gone rather insane from my presence there. Another wood elf warrior showed up, but too late to save my mother. Instead, she fought off the bears, and took pity on me and did what she could to save me. That is where Travus Flynn comes in, and the meaning of the runes on my body."
Amras shifted position again, stretching out his paws before he settled and continued.
"Travus used rune stones to seal up the demon inside of me, and give me power over it. As I would grow up, I'd gain access to more and more of the demon's power."
He realized he had strayed far off subject, and moved to get back to the point.
"I have spells of weakness...where the demon tends to take control, and unfortunately it was at the time of the Crimson King's arrival into our lands. He offered me power, and in my demonic lust, I did not refuse and joined him. But that power came with a price, and I lost my sanity. I was slain by Kay before I could do any real damage to GoldenMyst."

Angel was good at listening. She nodded to the mention of Kay, intrupting long enough to tell him who Kay was.
"Kay is the man who brought me here.. into the lands that I now call home.."
After that she was very silent. Also very still. Listening to him as if he were a story teller... and she the child who listens with all intent on absobing the full meaning of the story.
She had remembered bits and pieces of the Crimson King.. but she coudln't remember too much as she was still young when it happened. Upon the end of his story she gave a gentle frown.
"Everything has a price. Some are worth it.. and others.. aren't."
Biting her bottom lip for a moment, wondering if she had asked him to share too much. Taking in a gentle breath she blew out heated air, the small cloud of cold seemed to appear.
"My name is Angel.. I never got yours.."
She was half tempted to pet the demon, she loved large creatures, but she was afraid he would snap at her. She kept her hands on the ground behind her.

He listened to her response, before thinking of Lacey. He remembered how he had attacked her, and almost killed her. Due to his other nature, he had almost killed one of those he had come to cherish most in his life.
"Yes, well...it is only afterwords that we can realize our mistakes. After all, hindsight is 20/20."
It was funny. Despite all the things he despised about the demonic side of him, he felt most calm when his elven mind inhabited that monster's body. Amras often took this form when something bothered him, for reasons even he did not seem to understand.
"Amras...Amras Talarom."

She could only smile. Angel loved her dragon side and form. It was soothing to her knowing that she could over power almost any creature. It was fun to know that she came in many shapes and sizes too.
Tilting her head back up she looked to the star lite sky once again, giving a gentle sigh.
"Tis a beautiful night."
Did she really need to say 'Nice to meet you?' It wasn't mandatory for her to do so. And they had met before names were given. She slid her fingers along soft blades of grass underneath her hands.
"May I pet you?"
Figuring she would ask before sliding her hands along him. She looked to him curiously now. Ocean blue eyes seemed curious about him.
