He would simply shake his head knowing his daughters tolerance to alchohol. It wouldn't affect her, just like him. Standing with his daughter in his arms he would seem to look through the walls, his current thoughts hidden as he tilted his head.
"Hate me as you will Crystal. I will still love you as a friend and sister." His voice would carry much sincerity as he looked at Kahlan.
"Now as for your great questions my little one, mommy is sad because of just how things sometimes in this world work out. You won't always like the way your cards are dealt to you, but you have to remain strong and focus. Your mom gains her focus by laying down and sleeping to rid the pain. Now and Aunt and Uncle are your parents brothers and sisters, so your going to meet my brother Kavan and my Sisater Ezrella. They will visit when Kavan and I finally find Ezrella, and restore her. I don't live here beause I have many enemies and there are people the really dislike me that make me feel uncomfortable." His eyes shot toward Crystal through the wall then back to his daughter. "And last but not least. I do have my own Kingdom but it is not where I live right now until I finally restore it from the War of Dragons. Right now I live as a traveler, living in the woods and such. Anymore questions my great awsome beautiful daughter?"

She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek. She giggled and thought for a moment.
"I have more daddy. If mommy makes Crystal leave will you stay? And momma says I am a dragon but I don't see scales and I can't breath fire. And can I go to your castle with you? What is the name of your kingdom? I want to go with you daddy."
She started bouncing in his arms and smiled. Her eyes bright, smile wide, she hugged him around the neck again.
"Am I really awesome and beautiful? I love you daddy."

Make her leave? Yeah like that would ever happen since Desari enjoys her company and she is Desari's sanity. She would ignore what Vincent said and continued on with her duties taking care of Desari's children while she rested. At that moment Crystal's two cubs would come wandering towards her each carrying a field mouse in the mouths. She saw the sight and shook her head.
~Momma's little hunters you are. Just don't kill them in front of the children.~
The twin cubs would mind what their mother said and trotted off to the stables to "play" with the field mouses.

Laughing he would kiss his daughters cheek.
"I would never expect your mother to make Crystal leave, she has been around when I have not. When my castle is rebuilt one day, I will take you there and you be Princess of the Kingdom of Celdeciea. But... as for you being a dragon."
He would put his hand over her eyes, and when he removed it they would be standing in open plains, a strong wind in the air as he set the little one on her feet. And he stood with his eyes closed. He hadn't transformed since he trained Lai which had been months now. The Kaiser gene had to be summoned up again but as it melded within him those sapphire hues looked to Kahlan.
"Don't be frightened my daughter, for when I teach you, this will come as natural to you as breathing. And then you will be a dragon."
Then his body was surrounded by a pillar of darkness, a light grey smoke swirling around it as Vincents screams shot out, gloomy clouds began to cover the bright sunny sky and lightning would shoot into the pillar of darkness, and booms of thunder would quake the ground and in moments it would all dissapate, leave a black dragon, a silver pointy mane with glowing icy blue hues.
Soon Kahlan, we will see your dragon within you...

The thought of her being a princess of two castles made her giggle again. Her father covered her eyes as she continued to think on it and when she opened them, they were no longer at home. She became a little frightened. She had never been away from home without her mother before. When the ground beneath her shook, she let out a small scream. In that instant, she called out for her mother.
After all was done she looked up at her father, her eyes wide as she watched him become a dragon. Her eyes became wider as she took a step towards him. He was black as midnight with silver shining in the sun. She slowly reached out her hand and ran her fingers over his skin. It was smooth to the touch. She began jumping up and down with excitement.
“Oh daddy shows me now. Pleeeeaaasssseee.” She was very good at whining. She closed her eyes and clenched her hands into tiny fists. She concentrated so hard, her head began to hurt. When she opened her eyes, she was still a little girl, standing in front of the most beautiful dragons she had ever seen. Well except her momma. So sad now, she dropped the ground and started pouting.
‘When daddy? When? I want to know now. I’m a big girl. Oh daddy you’re so pretty. Can you breathe fire? Can you growl? Can you stomp on people?”
She was so excited; she forgot she was suppose to be pouting. The questions kept coming as she began picking at the grass.

Desari sat straight up in her bed. She knew the instant they were both gone. Jumping out of bed, she threw open the French doors and jumped off the balcony. Before she hit the round, a brilliant green light brightened the afternoon sky. Once the light disappeared, an emerald green dragon was in the air, circling the nearby fields.
She let out a roar that shook the sky as she felt her daughter’s fear. She calmed a little as she linked with her daughter and knew she was all right. Now the disappointment filled her and then excitement. Kahlan was upset and happy at the same time. Desari never knew how the thought process worked with Kahlan.
Finding them in the center of one of her fields, she nose dived until she was almost on top of them both. In her mind, she fell all over again as she saw Vincent in dragon form. Goddess he was breathtaking. Back flipping her wings, she landed softly and nuzzled Kahaln. Raising her head, she looked to Vincent and nodded to him as well.
~You should have warned her what shifting can do. I thank you though for showing her what she is and what she will become.~
She nuzzled Kahlan once more.
~When you learn how to shift we will both be there to guide you. For it was your father who gave you this gift~

Crystal seeing that it was starting to get dark ushered the two children inside of the castle.
~If I were you I would go play in your rooms until your mother gets back from being with Kahlan and Vincent.~

Seeing darkness begin to descend the land, she looked at Vincent thru dragon eyes and then looked to Kahlan.
~Get on my back Kahlan. Tis time to go back home. I need to tend to your sister and brother and you need to eat.~
She lowered her head so that Kahlan could climb on. Backing up a few steps, she launched her self in the air and headed back. One last thought to Vincent would float on the dusky air.
~Your welcome to come back if you choose.~

When Desari and Kahlan returned to the castle Des would be reassured that the other children were safe and sound up in their rooms playing quietly. Crystal was tending to Kai and Rowan making sure they ate their dinner.

~Thank you Crystal~
She slowly lowered Kahlan to the ground and with a brilliant flash of light Desari stood in front of her daughter. Kneeling down, she kissed her on the forehead.
"Why don't you go get cleaned up and then we will have supper. I will see in the hall within half hour."
Kahlan nodded and pouted a little as she went across the yard back to the hall, kicking stones as she went. Desari placed her hands on her hips and sighed. Walking into the hall, she put on a smile. It was going to be a long night.
