Confusion is probably the most wicked thing the gods ever let there be."
Now he looked up watching her back shaking his head.

She gripped the railing tightly, trying really hard to explain to herself why that made her cry.
"Ryu, I..."
Did she love him? Of course she did...Ryu was her first love. No amount of cheating and lying would ever change the fact that she bore his children.
She wiped her eyes on her left wrist and slowly turned around to face him. "I do not know what to say to that. I...just cannot understand this."
She was confused when Ryu had left her, but that confusion lead her to finding Archelo. But then again, that same confusion lead Drako to his death.
It was a never ending cycle.

"Well, I will be here till the day I die Raine, I'll never leave your side, even if it is as only a friend if you will it so." And he would stride forward, his thumb wiping the tears from her cheeks as that soft smile crossed his face.
Meanwhile outside, Lai was under the tree looking up at him waving. "Hazen ol good bro of mine..."

"Nuh uh!" He clung to the branch, laughing down at her. He was not Hazen...he was a tree limb!
Raine looked up at Ryu, unsure of what to do. Should she slap him? Hug him? Have a tantrum and beat him down? Alas, she was confused again.
"How can I know that you mean it?" She didn't mean to sound cold, but she was bitter. Every man she had ever loved either died or went away. How could she be sure he wouldn't leave all over again?

Too answer that he unsheathed Ezrebrum, his eyes gazing at its ruby blade and he handed it to Raine hilt first. "I have given a few rings made of her blade... but never have I given the sword itself to anyone. I know I can trust you to take care of my sister's spirit..."
Smiling she tilted her head and looked away. "Man where is my little bro. Hey tree, you know where he went?" She looked over her shoulder, that sly smile upon her face and that mischievious glint in her eyes.

Raine's eyes widened considerably. "You...You are giving this to...me?" She was shocked, to say the least. Ryu had trained her to fight all those years ago, her Kibou against his Ezrebrum. He proposed to her with a ring made from Ezrebrum's ruby, and he crushed it in his hand when he left her.
"Surely I cannot accept..." Ezrebrum was closely assiciated with Ryu. When one saw him with a sword, they assumed it was Ezrebrum. Certainly he wasn't really giving it away!
She cautiously wrapped those delicate fingers around it's hilt, staring in awe down at the sword, then up at him.
"He went that way!" Truly believing that he'd hoodwinked his sister, Hazen disguised his voice the best he could and pointed furiously to his left.

"That way? Thank you good tree." She bowed and ran the way her brother pointed.
Ryu simply nodded. "Raine I love you, if giving up Ezrella's spirit is the only way, then... I shall do so." Now he unstrapped Soulstealer closing his eyes. "Away with you..." And with that Soulstealer faded as well. "Cannot use that sword without Ezrebrum to keep its evil at bay."
He just gazed at Raine.

She certainly wasn't demanding the sword from him.
"But...what will become of you if I take it?" Was it really wise to give it away? Would he still be so strong and godly?
Hazen laughed, not nearly as good at quieting himself as he thought.

"What becomes of me?" He looked down and shook his head. "I have to find new swords, swords that hopefully come as close to those two swords combination. Shouldn't be too hard..." Yeah it would, but he didn't care, he wanted her trust more than he could ever want to live. Power was nothing as long as he had he trust.
Lai watched from behind a tree and slowly snuck beneath the tree again Hazen was in and quietly starting climbing the other side so he could not see her.

She eyed the sword, then his face, then the sword, then his face. Seeing as he was insisting that she have it, she slowly nodded her head and lowerd her arm to her side. Ezrebrum fit well with her, surpsingly, since she was short of stature and much smaller than Ryu.
