Asema paled, but only slightly, before breaking into a fake smile with the thought of all the children. She was sure, though, that she’d be long gone upon Raine’s death, and knowing this only helped her smile. Asema did want to travel.
“I suppose that’s all, really. Unless you have something more to ask?” Her gaze narrowed upon the fae. “I have several questions for you.”

"Ask away."
She leaned back in her seat, now full, and folded her hands over her stomach. She was glad that she was not immortal. It would be too...depressing.

“This man, Archelo, I don’t ever recall meeting him, yet I remember you speaking of him before I left.” Realizing this was a touchy topic, she touched her words carefully. “What…exactly…happened…”
She winced, glancing Raine over, hoping the woman wouldn’t burst into a fury of unstoppable tears. This had been an awkward day already.

She did not cry. No, four years after his death, she did not cry at the mention of him anymore, or weep when she told his story.
"He was murdered."
And his murder was a very long story. If Asema pressed, she would tell it, but it all started when she was just eighteen years old...

Amber eyes traced over Raine’s face and she paused, if just for a moment, before looking displeased. The woman made herself more comfortable in the seat she was offered, gnawing upon her lip like a bad habit. After a moment of analyzing, she sighed.
“His name was Apocalypse?” Asema gnawed again, thinking. She could practically taste the blood that was spread. This feeling of detachment Raine had, was it that another died as well? A child perhaps. She pressed.
“Did another die by his hand, also?”

"My first child, Sadie." Her eyes began to grow distant, but she continued on. "And ten attendants in the Healers Hall."
She folded her hands in her lap with a sigh. "I butchered him recently..."

A smile formed across her dark crimson lips. It was just like Raine…
“Very good, then.” Again, her eyes fell upon the woman oddly, where they would stay for several seconds before an image of disgust played upon her.
“He was Sadie’s father?” Her words were spoken loudly, almost roaring. This fact seemed shocking to her, and her mouth even fell open into a limp circle of awe. Shaking her head, she brought herself about. Her gaze fell to the floor. She was thinking.
“At least he’s dead. How did that come about?” She was looking at Raine again.

"Hey, Raine! Have you seen my- -" and the inquiry was cut rather short as she stumbled upon the two in Raine's room, unaware that Raine had company. Cherise always picked the worst times.
She had heard the bantering beforehand between Raine and Ryu, and she was fairly close to telling the both of them to shut up. Thus, Cherise sneaking into Raine's room was also meant to check up on Raine. Sharing a tower had its perks at times, but others...
"Oh, I'm really sorry. Nevermind!" A sheepish grin, and the succubus (whose rouge locks were pinned loosely atop her head, and lissome frame donned in sleepwear) retreated out of Raine's room and back into her own.
She'd come up with an excuse for a lost pineapple for a reason to check up on Raine, but it seems that someone had beaten her to it. Oh well. If she wanted to she could still eavesdrop (the wall between Cherise's closet and Raine's closet was paper thin - - much to Cherise's delight. She wished that all of the castle had been like that! It would've made her old gossip column so much easier).

"He possessed me. I was imprisoned for months in one of the vacant rooms on the far side of the castle until Solace tried to lure me out of the room... It ended in exorcism." She smirked. She couldn't help it. Her life story was always so melodramatic.
She rose a brow as Cherise entered the common room separating their rooms from the childrens and she laughed. "No, join us. You are not interrupting anything!"

Asema was mildly shocked by the woman’s brief entrance, and found that she had drifted from Raine’s story for a brief time. After a moment, though, she drew herself back to catch the last of it.
“Exorcism, oh.” It was evident that Cherise’s entrance had distracted the woman. She blushed slightly, but found no trouble continuing.
“But all is well now?”
