Oops! The hobbit had only been nodding politely. He hadn't meant for Gaea to start the resurrection. A glance to the smiling Fates calms him somewhat; they seemed unconcerned. Perhaps this too was meant to be. His part in this affair finished the old wizard nods once more, tamps out his pipe and packs it away in his pockets, then slips over the barricade. The snow doesn't seem to bother him as he quickly disappears into the forest.

Seeing that his spell didnt work, Death then notes the pieces of Syn's katanas being magnetized, Syn being the magnet. A cruel chuckle escapes his lips, as the katanas are in front of Death, not behind him, as the shards fly straight toward the demon: Go ahead, slay yourself demon, and save me the trouble!

Aww...shit...he saw those blade fly towards him. His eyes closed as he would start to pull on those chains, his body letting out a bright light, the sound of metal against metal would be heard. In the confusion of this lightscreen, it started to clear. Syn had gotten loose from the chains, but his body appeared to be on the floor, curled up, his eyes closed and his breathing stopped. He just layed there, shards of his katana would be on the floor around him. Hades knew what he had to do.

Well, Death was indeed surprised, though he did not let his body show it. He walks over to where Syn lay and kicks the demon in the side, making sure he was indeed dead before looking at Hades, a cruel chuckle escaping his lips: well, it seems your avatar wasnt as strong as he said he was. Well, now it's our turn to tango.

Heh, or so Death thinks! His body would slowly fade away. Now to explain this. It was all an illusion. You really think Syn would let his own body get hurt by his own katana? Slowly he stood up behind Death with that katana in his hand, spining around, he lifted his leg and kicked him into the throne chair. His hand blasted out a magnet like aura that made Death stick to the chair. He turned to Hades and nodded. "You know what to do."

He knows what to do alright, he laughs, rich and hearty, a laugh seldom heard in the halls of the dead. "Well done, mortal. It is finished." For indeed, it was finished. The moment death sat upon the 'throne' his memories had been stolen. Hades and Syn had replaced the actual throne with the chair of forgetfulness. Hades reaches over and reclaims the souls that belong to him with a gesture, the silvery aura's flying to his hand. Death had forgotten why he needed their power and no longer knew how to prevent Hades from taking them if he had.
Hades turns to Alexander, "I owe thee a boon, mortal, should our paths cross again." He nods, then releases Alexander from the grip of the underworld, letting his spirit answer Gaea's call from above.

In the strangely quiet clearing where the gods are gathered, snow falling all around them, Syn's body begins to glow as Gaea's aura surrounds him. She gestures to Luna and Artemis to join her in raising the Hero. "We call thee, Alexander Syn Thornheart! It is time to return."

Kalim sat upon the tree branch frowning. "Not really a heroic death, if the one who dies is allowed to come back." A playful stab at his dead friend, but he had a notion that this was coming. Wings spread out as he lept down from the branch, gliding down near Gaia. He moved to stand next to the woman, reaching down and placing his hand over Syn's forehead. Blue hues were hidden behind his eyelids, and what happened next occurred in almost an instant, but Kalim didn't seem to move.
The world around him swirled into a mix of grey colors. The angel, in that ethereal state, used a burst of speed to find the demon mage. It was a technique he'd worked on for several years, almost a form of teleportation though it left him completely weakened if he appeared anywhere but his original starting place. It only took him a few moments to lock onto that aura, but the Angel knew if he was quick enough, he'd make it out of that underworld.
Taking a deep breath, the grey world around him shifted again, blurred in vision as wings beat furiously. Over the river Styx before the boatman even noticed, and under the nose of that guard dog cerberus. He then just let his voice echo out. "Hurry up and finish this Syn. The gods are ready to bring you back..."
Once the message was delivered, the ethereal form of Kalimar went through an effect similar to a rubber band that was stretched to its limit. With almost an elastic-like manner, it snapped backwards following the path it originally took. He opened his eyes, removing his hand from Syn's forehead as he glanced to Gaea.
"He should be coming along shortly."

She never made it back to Larshia, she ended up back at GoldenMyst to get her horse. Riding back toward home, she feels something strange. A cold chill running up her spine and the back of her neck. Her neck! She reaches up to the necklace at her throat, bringing Shadow to a stop. It was then she knew that Syn was dead. It was then she knew and understood everything. And it was then she knew that Gaea had been trying to protect her.
She pulls the necklace off, holding it in her hands, looking down at it. It was cold, and dull. No color. No heat. How could she have missed this? Was she that wrapped up in herself? Tears began to weld in her eyes. "Damnit, Syn, you weren't supposed to die on me..." Her voice no more than a whisper to herself.
Looking back in the direction of where the clearing was, she feels a pull. A tug of sorts. There was a faint glow. Grabbing the reins in one hand, gripping the diamond necklace in the other, she takes off at a full gallop back toward the clearing. Gaea was still there, she could feel it the closer she got.
It didn't take long and she broke through the brush line of the clearing, only to see Gaea standing along side Syn's dead body. It tore at her heart. It was obvious that Gaea was going to bring him back. But she couldn't do it without Lina. Lina held the key to Syn's resurrection in the palm of her hand.
Sliding down off Shadow, she takes a few steps toward Gaea. Hesitant steps, for she still feared this Goddess for past transgressions she's done in her life. Once she was close enough, seeing the condition of Syn's "shell" as it were, she gasps softly then looks at the mighty Goddess.
"Earthmother Gaea." To get her attention, hoping she doesn't anger her for interrupting. "You can't bring him back without this." She takes a few more steps closer, holding out her hand, unfolding her fingers to reveal the necklace that held Syn's soul.

She stepped forward, gazing politely between Gaea and the dragon with the bizarre spectacle beheld in her hands. No matter, Gaea would understand.
She, too, stepped forward, an aura of wispy silver emanating from her body and merging with Gaea and Luna's (once she decided to join as well). Eyes closed gently as she focused her power with the others, aiding in their goal to bring the mortal back.
