::she nodded to the goddess and actually smiled:: Thank you m'lady...::the next thing she knew, she had been punched and was on her knees...coughing as she tried to catch her breath...looking up everyone could see the tears streaming down her face...the one man she would have died for had just hurt her in the worst way...her words were horse as she spoke:: You know what maybe I deserved that but I don't think I did...Do you have any idea what I have been thru for you? Because of you? You knew I was pregnant when you went back to Lina but you still went...Then you left...Without a word...you have seen your child and then in the next breath you can stand there and say you hate me? ::she pushed her self up and bent over as her stomach muscles clenched in protest:: After everything that has been said and done I don't hate you...As easy as it would be to do so...Believe it or not I still love you...Ever since I saw you in the kitchen so many years ago...::she glanced over to Kavan:: Loving mortals is not a weakness...And him hurting me physically as well as emtionally does not mean I will stop loving him...I will love til my dying breath...Even if it today...::she looked over to the goddess and inclined her head to her:: Should anything happen to me, with your blessing, what would become of my children? ::she needed to know this answer because she had no idea what was going to happen...all the pain she ever felt was boiling beneath her skin...all the hurt was taking its toll on her soul...there were days where the thing that got her out of bed was the children...but if she could find out what would happen to them if she were no longer around, maybe, just maybe, she could lay down and be at peace...she stole a glance at Ryu and once more a piece of slowly withered and died...he hated her now...self doubts she had always held about her self had caused her to loose grip...casting a glamour, she fadded to practically nothing and said not another word::

As Ryu slammed a fist into Desari's gut he growled, his form blurring in direction of Ryu. He didn't want to fight, but he wasn't goign to let Ryu hurt her.
He knew Persephony would stop him, but he had to try. His form flared into a dragons, his complete exsistance transparent. But once Persephony would deflect him from Ryu he would go to Desari, him forming back. Silver and black eyes lifted to Ryu with a growl. "You call yourself a man! You deserve no woman, expeccially the girl I guard. You would have destroyed innocence and used her to your own wants, you sicken me!"
He pulled the leather glove from his hand, fingers grazing Desari's jawline. "Nothing will happen to your children. I swear it, and Persephony is fond of the young creatures." He smiled sofly, wishing he knew a way to rid her of the mortal pain Ryu caused her.

"Seragatto. Wtach your tounge. Or I will make your death painful when Persphony decides its time." He would look to Persephony, those sapphire hues watching her. "Desi is no hold over me any longer. She will alway be one of my dearest and closest friends. She is with Ashram, and nether though it was against my will, I will protect her where Ashram can't. As a loyal friend."
Looking down he would sigh, then cast his icy glance to Persephony. "Frendrick will remain unharmed till I get permission from you or straight from Odin himself. I no longer want this... icyness between us. My brother loves you... and for this I will pass my respect to you. I just ask the same. No more, no less. I am tired of having pointless enemies. Frendrick and Chrono are the only enemies I have now." With that he would walk to her and bow. "Vera de kamauran. Melora kay ni yarin."
"As my brother's love. I offer you my blade, abilities to protect you."

Norse Gods wanting to protect the Greek? This was unheard of. Ignoring Ryu a moment she spied Seragato acting weak and that was not tolerable to her. She a shake of her head she spoke up. "Seragato, hime with you, I will speak to you on a later date." As the last word was spoken she forced him to leave, the image of him fading before alls eyes.
She then lifted her gaze to Desari, her staring in the mortal that tried to act so strong. "Your children will never be harmed. Not while I live." She was fond of mortal children, even Destiny was one she grew fond of. Watching her grow up was great, and remember Tharen... She pushed the images and memories from her mind her coming to return her attntion to Ryu.
"Love you say? Can Gods love?" She peeked up at Kavan, her then allowing her gaze to slid back to Ryu. "Sometimes I wonder if it is just an image, or if we have hearts that beat like the mortals. But none-the-less, it will instresting seeing a Norse god protect a Greek one." Not once did she bring up the reasons she disliked Ryu, she left him wondering the reasons on his own.
" Now... I wonder what I should play with next." She semmed to step into the wall away from Ryu, her coming to be seen moving towards Desari's children down below. The only thing that remained of Persephony's in the castle was a single white rememberance from her wings.
AS she floated towards the children, she stopped witha smile, her crouching down to pet a passing dog, leaving the own offsprings time to get curious about the woman with the feathered wings.

::He would follow close behind Persephony, wrapping his arms around her as he nessled his chin on her shoulder looking to the dog, landing a soft kiss on Persephony's pale skinned neck he would close his eyes a moment loving the woman he held. Just wanted to find a way for her to see him more than what she did::
"He is right. I do love you. Have for such a long time. Just wish you could say you love me back."
::One hand would caress her arm as he kissed her neck again. He had been careful of her wings when he embraced her but kept running his cheek down the soft silk skin of her neck and shoulder then he would quickly look up to the Castle::
"Ryu's life is fading. His spirit will be going back to Soulstealer soon till he regains more strength. Help me help him, please?"

::she covered her ears as Ser yelled at Ryu:: Stop it...Just stop it...Do you have any idea how tired I am? ::she looked up inot ser's eyes and shook her head:: Tired of the fighting and the fear I live with everyday...::she pushed her self up and walked towards the door...she just wanted to hold her children and find the peace she can when she is in their presence...she once more nodded to the goddess...::And for that I thank you...::she stared in awe as she watched the goddess slip thru the wall...running back to the window, she watched her reappear outside...the children were running around but came to a dead stop as they saw this woman staning before them...glancing over her shoulder to Ryu, she turned and ran back outside...she slowed to a walk as she came to stand behind the children...placing an hand on both girls shoulders, she drew all three against her...she was still scared of everything that had happened this day...the only one who was not intrested was Kahlan...she reached for Desari and yelled...stooping to pick her up, Desari held her and gave a weak smile as Persephony adn Kavan apporoached...::Tis hard to say I love you when the fear of being hurt is their...Mortal love is not always so painfull...::Oh yes it was her mind screamed...she shut down that part of her brain and looked down at Isabeau...Always the quiet one, she was but her powers grew more and more everyday...Kendrick stood in front of his mother...Her little protector to the end he was...he was getting tall for his age and would one day make a fine king...Kahlan simply watched and then began giggling...What she found amusing is anyone's guess...She was a happy child...Desari gave her a kiss on the head and then waited to see what would happen next...::

As the eyes of the children fell her way she rose allowing the dog to bark and move on it's merry way. Eyes full of curosity met those smiling with stars from the darkened pupil of the Goddess. "Hello.." One word spoken usually sent many into fits of whispers, but her moment of secret santuary was shortly interrupted by soft caresses and words of love.
Love. The question of it even exsisting flared through her body. Not once had she heard any greek god speak it besides the famous Aphrodite that seemed to whisper it in everyone's ears. Not once had she ever heard Hades speak such things to her and now here a Norse was proclaiming he felt the mortal emotion towards none other than persephony herself.
"You speak of love as if you truthfully know what it feels like yourself." The way she spoke showed no signs of frustration, only wisdom of eternity. But even Gods could learn, couldn't they? Deep down she knew that if she didn't already feel and know this human emotion she was willing to learn the feeling that hurt so many in the past.
But then the talk of Ryu chimed in her ears, and the thoughts of love vanished as if they were never there in the first place. "Help you help him? Why would Ryu need my help? He seems to believe he is all mighty, and that I am some minor goddess that has just randomly shown up. Kavan, give me a good reason and I shall put thought into not allowing him prison in his own weaponry." She pulled from his embrace, her coming to turn, dark eyes like the night's mysterious blanket meeting his. "And the girl...Desari...herself and her children will NOT be in harms way by any god. For if they are he will spend eternity in the bonds of my own."
She diverted her gaze back towards Desari and her children, her seeming to hold a charming smile in which told secrets unspoken about them all. She knew their future, their past, and even present events. "A good mortal girl, still the same brillant spirit and heart she had when the gods went to counsil and made descision to pull her life from Seragato long before." Her gaze feluttered shut, her head tuning back towards Kavan.
Persephony was beginning to jump topic to topic. It was as if she was trying to not give into the thought of helping the brute that waited her help in the castle that towered above them. She was trying to bide her time and wait for a reason..one fit for the gods.

"Persephony, I want your help to release him because you know this..."
::He would sneer, his voice now monotone::
"Vincent can't fight as well as my brother held by that sword. Vincent doesn't have the hardness, emotionlessness that my true brother has. And since Ryu is what is needed when the Apocolypse comes he must be released. I want my brother... not some sorry excuse of the younger brother of mine. Besides, it is Forsetti's will. You have to remember. He killed gods by order's of the All-Fathers. But this still got Ryu justice, his punishment is to live forever, and him living in that sword is not the justice Forsetti put apon him."
::His arms would wrap around her once more as he would put his forehead to hers, one hand coming up to touch her cheek. His eyes just staring upon her face, those sapphire hues buring with that love he spoke of her as his head leaned down kissing her soft lips, his arm around her having his hand run down her back till he pulled her lower half toward him::
"And yes, I am capable of love. God's know love. I ask you to give yourself a chance to love me..."

::Isabeau took a step back...she was like Desari in that way...Reserved until she could grasp what was going on...Kendrick inclined his head to her and Kahlan simply whaled..She was getting tired...Desari nodded to them both...::If you will both excuse me...This one is tired and is time for the others lessons...::walking away with all three, she looked over her shoulder:: Love is not as bad as it seems...And it is worth it...::taking them back into the main hall, she stopped short when she saw Ryu still standing there...she walked to him and nodded:: I need to take them upstairs...The others are outside...You may all stay if you wish but I will not be back down til supper...::with that said, she troped upstairs and got everyone settled...Kahlan would take her nao with Desari as she did everyday...But there would be no nap for Desari this afternoon as the last few days and hours played thru her head::

He would stand there feeling the last of his energy fade and the solidity of his body would fade as he stood there, nothing but a meer helpless spirit traped by a single blade. Sighing he would walk toward the window looking down at Persephony and Kavan.
"I have made mistakes. As soon as I return to my body... I will complete my life as I should till called to fight the apocolypse. I will help Raine take care of Lai and Hazen... Kahlan, Cambridge and Veedo. I will keep my promises to my friends and protect them." He would whisper to himself.
Seeing his brother brought tears to his eyes. Together they had fought Chrono, been defeated and Kavan had been sent to the Demon realm while Ryu was too helpless to watch. Now he was back. Now if Ezrella was back, they would be back in business. If she returned, they would once again be a higharchy family in Vallhalla.
