::suddenly a loud, high pitched scream came from the top of the stairs...Kahlan had found that when she screamed people paid attention...Desari, holding one of her hands, winced...Isabeau and Kendrick went running by Vee and Ryu, stopped for a moment and then, heads bent in whisper, they giggled and ran off to the kitchen...Desari stopped at the bottome of the stairs and smiled to Vee...::Well good afternoon to you Vee...We were just about to have dinner...Would you like to join us? ::picking up Kahlan, she blanced her on a hip, then pushed a lock of lock of hair out of her face...:: I seem to have a full hall this eve...You are more then welcome to join us...::she nodded her head and walked thru the hall and stopped at the fireplace...putting Kahlan down, she closed her eyes and let out a deep breath...every candle in the hall was lit now and a small fire started in the fire place...sitting on the sofa, she picked up the child and began tickling her, Desari just wanted to play with the baby before dinner...::

His presence lightly settled into the gardens after a time of standing there watching Persephony and Kavan. How long he had been there only he knew and it had been long enough that they walked out to where he was. Even though his presence was now there it would lead those who could feel it to look in the opposite direction of where he was. It was in the darkness off to the side where one was least likely to look that he stood quietly watching with silvery gray eyes and arms folded across his chest. His body was wrapped in a thin black material that had a few pointed ends that were visible at his feet. He wouldn’t remain there for long, before he could get their attention but most importantly be seen, he slipped away allowing the shadows to hide him. His presence would quickly follow suit.
Minutes later he would cast away the shadows leaving himself standing against near a corner of the wall outside away from those in the gardens. Though he was there his presence was no where to be felt. He was starting to feel he had picked the wrong time to draw Ryu out having seen a few of those who were present at the castle. It wouldn’t detour him in any way. He was quite confident he could complete the task he set out to do. It wasn’t too big of a task but timing and patience would play a big role in getting him wha.t he wanted
He closed his eyes and leaned back against the cool stone wall while he waited. His breathing slowed as the time drew nearer. It was his presence that he was waiting for at the moment and when it caught up to him and only then would things be put into motion.
As Ashram’s presence started to flicker into existence once more, it was gathered, redirected and zeroed in specifically on Ryu’s senses. The only purpose was to make Ryu aware he was near and create a link to speak through. Ryu would be the only one to be effected and that familiar voice echoed in his mind. ~ “Come Ryu. Outside I await you. Bring only yourself and make haste.”~ Once the words were shared Ash’s presence disbursed into the area where everyone could feel it temporarily until it again was pulled back into the shadows. Once more he waited... to see if he was to be kept waiting.

As soon as Ashram's voice entered his head, a thin smirk would cross his lips as he n=knelt over kissing Veedo's forehead, those eyes carrying nothing but love for his son. "Wait here Vee, I will be back in a few minutes." Giving Vee a last hug he started for outside, no hands upon his weapon's, no anger in his eyes. All that could be seen was the simple amusment within those icy hues.
Finally stepping outside he would just stand there taking a deep breath. "If you are here to fight me Ashram... I decline. I have changed. There are thing's more important than a rivalry that started over things you nor I can even remember." ::that smirk from earlier would soon fade into a stern emotionless gaze:: "And to kill you would hurt my best friend. And I won't hurt Destiny."
Closing his eyes, he would let himself feel the area around here. His potential energy washing over the area around him until it found the shadows and as he let the potential energy build to higher and higher levels until he let it go, he would fade into a black mist which followed the trail of potential energy to the shadows where the mist faded, becoming part of the shadows.

"I'm glad you didn't keep me waiting.." Speaking as Ryu came into view. After hearing Ryu's words he slowly shook his head. "Starting a fight here would only get me killed in the end. I just got here and I have no intention of making enemies, especially out of old ones. I came because I had reconsidered something you had said."
That black material around his form shifted and parted enough for him to hold out infront of him a plain looking sheated dagger. "I offer my assistance in anything you should require it in. From what I saw there is no need for it now but this dagger is all that is needed to call upon me."
With his other hand he pulled the dagger free revealing the black blade that reflected no light. "If you should take it all that is required is for you to do is use it on somebody.. but that doesn't seem likely since it isn't your weapon of choice. The other option is to use it on yourself, like this." He extended an arm out palm up. Lightly he ran the blade down his forarm, the sharpness of the blade cut his flesh cleanly. It was a short line of three inches but he went on to draw a few other lines making an glyph the represented himself. It was rather simple to make and easy to remeber. Blood would start to well up and trickle until enough flowed to eventually drip to the ground.
His eyes contently watched as the cut would glow crimson for a few seconds before the cut vanished with the glow. He sheathed the dagger and set it at his feet for Ryu to take when he pleased. "I offered and now you make the decision." He slowly turned and started on his way, there was still others he had to find. "Enjoy your evening."

The boy watched his father as he left, then turned to Desari. "Uh... Sure, I'd love to join ya... But Ryu said to stay here, so I guess I can't." Blink, guess he still took some orders a little too seriously.

Darkened eyes shot from the roses towards Ashram. Well, look at what was here. A smirk crossed those lips, her fingers about to curl in calling him over, bu once Ryu came forth she waited for the battle to begin. But no...there was no battle, but the talking and slicing of the Dark Knight's hand.
Shaking her head she leaned back against Kavan, her keeping Ashram in the corner of her eye. Would he come greet her? Or would he disappear again. She made no attempt to call out to him, only watch him before that honey thick voice came to Kavan's ears. "Ashram is here. But Destiny is not... I wonder where that poor child is."

He would not greet her or even look in her general direction. She was of no importance to him and could only be a problem. Silenced footsteps carried him off into the shadows where his form would disappear from sight.
Getting some distance away from the castle he stepped out of the shadows. His eyes slowly looking around trying to think of where his wife may be at this time. She was the next person he needed to find.

Don't be silly Vee...This is my hall...Not your fathers...::servents began placing large platters of food on the large table, the children were seated and Sara was serving them...she smiled to Vee and truned to walk towards the main table:: If you wish to speak to your father first then go ahead...Plenty of food ye know...::she nodded to him and walked over the table and began feeding Kahlan...her attention noww focused on her children::
