This will be many posts long, so keep checking the thread for updates at later dates. Feel free to post comments or whatever.
The bright yellowish white sun was beaming over the castle acompanied by a soft, blue sky. The oceans crashed against the coast of this cold, mid-30s winter day. Beaches wern't always what people expected, as the sand was covered in a thin layer of snow, most of the snow however, near the water had been washed away. The fields were covered in snow, the trees covered in snow, and even the castle had it's own layer of snow above the wood and stone. The sight was truely a beautiful and peaceful one to see, a sight that could turn even the proudest frowner's lips up into a smile. When looking at the sight one would believe there could truely be nothing wrong with the world, but in this day after the crowning of the new king and the exile of many old members who openly stood against the rules beauty truely was mearly an outside image.
It had been a night filled with mixed reactions for Paul. He was happy for Nicho, he was happy that seemingly all the old faces from the past had come around the same time as him. Peter... Kia... Dionne.... The list goes on of people he never thought he'd see again, much less in GoldenMyst grounds. All of this made him happy... But at the same time there were faces he feared he may never see again. Caelum, Summer, so many others he had been close to over the years. The election had been troubling Paul, not because he was worried on who would lead, he was confident in everyone's ability to lead the kingdom, but it had troubled him because he didn't know what the after effects would be... And he still doesn't....
Children came running out of the doors of the castle. A small boy was being chased by a girl. The boy had a doll in his hand, stolen from his persuer no doubt. Paul smiled as he leaned against the wet bark of a tree, watching silently as the dew and melted snow from the leaves dripped down on his shoulders and the long red sleeves of his wool shirt. How nice it must be to not have the burden of responsibility he thought. To not have to worry about what's to come, but simply what's here now.... "Maybe the kids are actually smarter then all of us adults," Paul said with a chuckle. And perhaps it was true: we could all learn a lesson by simply taking things one day at a time and not stressing about what's coming next.
Paul slowly put his hands in the pockets of his brown commoner slacks, his hands unintentially touching the invisbility sphere that he so often grasps these days. As his image faded he continued to just watch the kids play, his body and mind calm. There was a part of him that thought he'd see Caelum again, but that same part of him also feared it wouldn't be in a joyous time. He had seen Caelum's final look at Gelina the night before, a look he knew Gelina would never forget, and a look he feared might cost someone their life. He tried to block thoughts like that out but he couldn't help but let the thought sit cross legged in his mind, unbudging and unwavering.
Paul had gained much knowledge in his travels, some of the knowledge he wished to pass on to the people here. He wondered how much of it he'd have time to convey while his eyes slipped closed. There was a dark place in Paul's mind where he stored all this information. He was interested in teaching some before....
THWAK! Just like that a crow had flown right into the invisible Paul's face, busting him right in the nose and completely derailing his train of thought. Paul reached up and grabbed his nose instinctively, seeing his hands appear halfway to his face. He figured out what happened and growled a bit. Being invisible wasn't all it was cracked up to be sometimes. Paul bent over still slightly in pain and watched as an earthworm fell off the tree behind him, surely what the bird was after. "I can never get a moment alone," Paul scowled, leaving the area.
