The rumors centering on the upcoming, massive conflict with the Goblet Kingdom invading Golden Horn, and key people in Golden Horn and other realms becoming 'controlled' by some uniquely powerful, outside force that finally was revealed to one Herald Krysta Aier. Heading toward Golden Horn's capitol city, would be the two waves consisting of the Goblet Kingdom's entire population..there were none left behind. The force consisted of two separate 'waves', both of them having approached from the claimed territories of the south of Golden Horn, and each wave holding a strength equal to one-hundred thousand of those flying, wooden cups (armored with mythril over each). The "Master" that was controlling these key people, as well as the Goblet Kingdom's own King, now had a name..and a past..for it was the one whom was slain by the Dark Lord in the past in a duel he could not win..Leon D'arvarra. With this massive force, and gathering other 'allies' to control them as well, people such as King Dalton Zullen of Ridia, there were several plans now in motion. One was to capture the Herald Krysta in order to gain access to the item willed to her by the deceased Magus in order to travel back to the past..and bring out the horrors of the past to the present. Another plan, which was initiated when Anto Calias was a part of the Goblet collective mind, is of the thirteen seals keeping out the demonic horrors of past confrontations as witnessed by the feline priest himself would be unsealed. With all of this, there was but one, undeniable fact....The Awakening of Leon himself into a physical being deep within the planet itself would occur..unless these machinations were stopped. The people of Golden Horn and their allies are busy making plans to stop the menace of the Goblet Army, and to bring back those people now under the control of Leon. In perhaps one of the pivotal moments in the history of the Rim Kingdoms, the fate of hundreds upon hundreds of thousands would rest in the hands of the fiercely determined, brave people of Golden Horn and their allies that are even now, preparing to march into war against the Goblet Army and the machinations of Leon. It is often said that the balance of Good and Evil shifts nearly every day, and that where there are many evils in the world there are also just as many of those of good and noble hearts. In a world of uncertainty, and where appearances are often decieving, it is often-times unclear as to who and what is truely evil and truely good. Then a day such as this arrives, when those forces truely of the evil and of the good unite together in a clash that will surely echo beyond the sands of time. Those people of common decency, respect, and love are standing together and proclaiming in one loud, clear voice "We will not go quietly into the night! We will fight on the land, in the sea, in the air, and though our shields may splinter and bones may be crushed, we will never surrender!". With pure determination, drive, and ambition driving both sides it is not only a question of whom will prevail...it is more of a question of who will survive this titanic struggle. The future begins here.

Well, it seems to me that they did say other key people... possibly related? And there is an alliance. *shrug* It was good writing. I'm also a nosy mun who likes to hear what all goes on. *bright smile*

I suggest we surrender; I doubt the goblets would know what to do. After all, for God's sake, these are CUPS we're dealing with, what could they possibly demand as spoils of war? All of our beverages? Coasters? Little umbrellas?
Humor aside, assuming we are forced to humor them by engaging in some mockery of combat, then I can only hope that those forces responsible are haunted at night by the ghosts of fallen warriors. Countless warriors of the past and present have fallen for Just causes, and this swarm of enchanted gimmicks threatens to smear the dignity of their profession. The fall of the Dark Lord was supposed to usher in a new era of peace, not send villains back to the drawing board in a race to invent some absurd new face of evil. In that respect, I think Leon has already lost.

Aw, cut the guy some slack. I like the idea of a new evil person.

Some of the best villians would be a tad absurd if not done well. The Joker, The Penguin... really, any batman based character. Or comic books in general. They are all a tad over the top. Though if we had villians just like them they'd be considered to be strong arming the storylines... they do too much damage.
So our answer? Goblets. I am still clueless about the entire Leon thing. I recall being curious about it when it was going on but no one would fill me in. *playful pout* Though I recall Nym being worried about other things at the time. Anyway, we need a new villian. Badly.
It seems like almost nightly when someone in the room complains about being bored. If the kingdom isn't going to be involved with this SL, fine. But I propose we start considering having a villian involved with GM so people can play hero and stop beating one another to a bloody pulp out of boredom. Though I must admit, the healing business is quite profitable as of late.

I've stated my opinion on things like this before, though perhaps not publicly, so here goes.
I do not think a villan is necessary. I would rather see more adventures with creative story lines than a Magus type character. Unfortunately, as we are trying to come to some consistency in the way adventures are run, we can not just allow anyone to run an official KoGM adventure. I would not want to see a DM handing everyone enhancers on a 'cake-walk' dungeon. On the other hand, I don't want people complaining that no one survived the adventure either.
I'm not adverse to the idea of a villian, if played well, but for Nicho as King, it creates the problem of 1000 IM's saying, "What do I do?"
More people need to run their own storylines, without making it necessary for the "High Command" to become involved. I can't be everywhere at once and Kolava has a life. Division Leaders and Seconds can run a "hack and slash" adventure and call it a training excersise.
Seaking of Divisions, this is an official heads up that the roster will be changing again, albeit not so drastically this time, some old divisions are returning, as subdivisions of the current ones.
I liked the goblet as a crazy animated object, but as a leader in war the idea does smack of ludicracy. ( ::Watches some people look that one up. :: ) I told Rayna we would not become involed officially unless they asked us to help as allies.#nosmileys

I do apologize, as the mun, of posting this on this board though there were several reasons as to why. For one thing, Leon used to be part of GM, his full name was Leon D'arvarra and there was a lengthy storyline involving him murdering others and what not in the past, and this return of him much more powerful and controlling the Goblets and other leaders of kingdoms and what not is just supposed to create some excitement and all, and tie up a loose-end when it came to GM. Rayna did become officially involved, as did notable others including those from UV, Duncan St Cloud, Dalton Zullen of Ridia's Kingdom (Krysta Aier's homeland), of course several members from Golden Horn, and even a person or two from Kaapal Empire. This isn't about evil winning or anything like that, that's not what I'm about..and neither is Leon a "Magus-like" character (though no offense to Magus-mun, as Magus was the best villain I've ever seen played), he's my character and someone unique that I created to be a real, honest-to-god villain that is duplicitous, deceitful, and rallies other evils behind him. This whole storyline is not GM, GH, UV, or any particular realm-based storyline at all, if anything it's Goblet-kingdom based and there are two official DM's of this, me and Goblet-mun. Goblet-mun has already thanked people for their participation and so will I, this is just meant for fun, that's what Goblet-mun's all about and it's what I'm about. I'm not "out to get anyone", or kill off characters or anything, just there to put some drama for people who are bored with things to do for their characters.
So it's not an official GM adventure..does it have to be for people to enjoy themselves? This is something that's been in the works for months, and people are having a great time with it. I don't expect for everyone to participate in it of course not, but there are plenty of credible people who are, and they're awesome Rpers and I'm privileged that they find the storyline interesting. That's what Rp is all about in my opinion, just having fun with free-form and open-ended storylines, and what kind of damage is done to your character or what you'd like to done to your character is up to you to decide. I figured that practically everyone in GM are fantastic role-players, and nothing's been done with anyone in GM yet because I'd like to ask for consent first and clear it with you all before this storyline gets GM people involved (unless Rayna asks for help then this point is moot). The Goblets, even though they ARE just cups, are a bit tougher though, I mean they fly around quickly, hard to swing your sword at in that respect, they fire little magical streams of fire and ice, and are even covered over by a layer of mythril armor. Is it ridiculous? Probably, but then my co-DM Rp's a flying cup, so seriousness is probably waaaaay back in the corner of her mind most of the time LOL.
Anyway, I'm not ranting, just letting you all know that you are more than welcome to participate, this is just for the sake of fun, and I do hope to see some of you for the battles of this SL as everyone so far is having a great time and doing a fantastic job, even helped a mun considering leaving Rp (who's an 11 year veteran) to stay on because it's just good ol' fashioned Rp the way it used to be. I know you're all unbelievable players, and it'd be an honor to have at least a few of you guys involved. Nicho-mun don't worry, all of the "what do I do?" questions are going expressly to me and Goblet-mun LOL.

As much as I love Nicho-mun to death, and am his partner is rp, I disagree with him on one point. There does need to be villans out there. I have said it before and I will say it again. There is a thing called "balance". You can't have one without the other. I know that Nicho likes to play in his own world and that's fine. I love his adventures and I love the way he runs them. I wish all GM adventures could run like his. But once in a while we need some outside influence. I know for a fact that people are bored lately. They come to me and flat out say it. Their charries say it. I don't see anything wrong with a battle here and there. As long as it isn't a constant thing. And maybe, Nicho love, just maybe, it will be something different from Magus. Not every villan will be like him. Hell if UV has even agreed to play part of this out, why not? I have no objection to it, but then again, I am only the king's girlfriend. So I really have no say. It's up to Nicho on this one. I just wanted my opinion known. I will however follow Nicho in whatever decision he makes.
Oh one more thing...
GhostMaster...to avoid those pesky IMs when you are trying to adventure and so forth...maybe you should try "ghosting" to all except those you need in IM. ~Giggles~ Love ya Nicho! ~Huggles~
