I dont tend to call pokemon anime. At least dont compare it to shows like Fullmetal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

Think of it as comparing Billy & Mandy's Grim Adventures and a classical Disney movie.
Both are animation.
It's the same thing with Pokemon and FMA or GitS.

lol in fairness, you just can't categorize stuff like that. sure, they may both be animation, but that's like saying that "Jaws" and "Finding Nemo" are the same because both feature boats  |

Regardless of the quality of one over the other, they are both still movies. Whether pokemon is considered good when compared to FMA or GitS, it is still an anime. |
