Ok, since this whole thing about whether or not GM should stay open seems to have become a kingdom-wide discussion, Im going to have my say on the boards, rather than waste time responding to at least nine of the damn e-mails I was sent.
Number one, in regards to whether or not GM should stay open; Honestly, I think it should, because although there are the other medieval- fantasy based roleplaying guilds out there ( GH, Kavanagh, Ivory Rose, etc), GM is unique. What do I mean by unique? I mean unique in that it is newcomer-friendly, with its easy to understand dice system, you dont need 10,000 xp to gain a dice lvl or to stay a member ( this is an exxagaration, not implying anything thank you very much), the people here are friendly , for the most part ( again, not implying anything), and, even though there havent been chat rooms open, the boards are active, which is quite convenient.
Number two, in regards to who should lead GM; To me, honestly, I believe Shari is doing as good a job as she can despite having all the responsibilities in real life as a mother, a husband, and someone who has a job. And for those who want Nicho to rule, well maybe you should ask hime if he wants to come back. Did you ever think he may not want, or be able to continue roleplaying? (An assumption on my part, not implying anything) I mean, maybe you guys havent notice, but most of the ruling members are over 30, and have been playing for a long time. Besides, I dont think I see anyone else willing to put the time in like Shari, and Kyle before her have put into the Kingdom (If I missed anyone, I apologize).
Number Three, the remarks made about WoW; For the love of god, do not get me started. I play WoW when I am online, but I still manage to post on the boards, and yes, even occassionally post in chatrooms. Granted, I dont run adventures, or plan events like certain people, but I am active. Now Im not even gonna bother saying anything about the problems between Nick and Rose, because thats none of my business, but about the HC;
Noone can say for certain whether or not they arent active enough, because they could get on when noone else is on. Besides, if someone has an issue that they want the HC to address, send one of them a goddamn letter. Is that so hard?
