My body doesn't react well to air mattresses and sandwiches where the meat might be bad and freezing to death and then finding out my plans for next week might fall through...
Feel good part... the ocean is beautiful. I found 2 sand dollars and an assortment of beautiful shells, I got to enjoy Jekyll Island and the spanish moss over the gorgeous trees... I got to walk around for a while before I realized that though there aren't bears on Jekyll (I called and asked Brian about that before I would sleep in the tent) but there ARE alligators. I could have been eaten! Granted I didn't actually see any alligators but that is besides the point. They were stalking me unseen, I just know it!
I had fun, despite my seeming dislike for the ordeal. I grew up camping despite my dislike for getting dirty when I was little. Water does my little pisces soul well, certainly. I had more fun when it was raining and windy than I did when the sun was up and it was warm enough to actually play in the water and wear my tankini! Yayness to my tankini and to pumping up an air mattress with the pump to a yoga ball. Yay to bird sanctuaries and putting up tents in the rain. Yay to insufferable car rides that take forever and listening to an entire book on tape of the second Bridget Jones book. Hurrah! And, most of all, yay to sitting on the laptap at Heather's house on the nice, comfy leather couch. Hurrah again! A slight hurrah, as well, in hopes that my plans for next week are still on and that I get to see my boy with elf eyes again... funny, I can't get him out of my head.

Aww! Yeah, my mom is impossible to shop for. She doesn't like being pampered. Instead, she likes cooking gadgets and what not. You know how horrible that makes me feel? "HERE MOM! Here's a cookbook so you can cook MORE for me!" xD

This was a slam dunk, mother's day wise. I started off waking up at 7 am at Heather's house, dragging myself out of bed and then hitting the road. I got home around 9ish, finished putting the Mother's Day booklet, an assortment of poetry, comics and pictures, together and then left to go to my stepmother's house. While in Jekyll I had bought her a necklace and earrings... silver and the earrings match the conch (sp?) shell pendant. Very summery. I also got two beautiful, sappy mother's days cards. I normally go for funny but this year I thought sappy was more appropriate. I left there, after seeing Donna get her ecard from Zack. She got all teary eyed. I stopped at Waffle House, used the last few dollars I had to buy Mom breakfast to go, stopped at the conveniance store and got her her usual: cup of ice, pepsi and (gag) cigarettes. I refuse to support her bad, unhealthy habit... but I was spoiling her today. I got home, she got her gifts (much like my stepmother's only my mom doesnt wear jewerly when I buy it for her so I bought her pretty wooden boxes) and shooed her to the computer to talk to Zack in IM and get her ecard from him. She cried. Then I went to eat with Donna, my dad and the boys... Daddy made a copy of the poem I wrote for Zack... that made me feel proud. Then I stayed around there and eventually ended up here... home, on my computer, relaxing from a long day. This morning I left a daisy on my grandmother's grave and I'll probably have to call my nana in california sometime soon.

How about ...
I made it through Mother's Day without having to listen to my boys argue through our lunch at none other than Portillo's! Yes, that's right folks, my favorite place to eat! Woot! And then tomorrow, I get to go see Kingdom of Heaven. YAY!

My mothers day was quiet...I went to my grammies where she stuffed me like a turkey...Mind you she has not seen me in a year and a half and flipped out when she saw me...I am back at the weight I was before I met my ex...I don't think I have eaten that much in months...Talked to a couple of people and then went to Trena's and fixed her hair...Came home, watched a movie and went ni ni...Finally I had a day where I could breath...Hope everyone had a great weekend...

I spent the weekend at my Gram's in Wisconsin..Door County. We took her out for dinner. Then she and my step mom went to church and I cooly just walked out the door past them and walked down to the boat docks to watch the sunset. My Gramma doesn't understand why I will not attend church. Anyways, Sunday night my parents and I came home and the rest of the family came over for Mother's Day dinner Then I had a date..::grins:: This guy that I haven't seen in like 6yrs called me last night and we went out for drinks.
