I figured we needed a counterpart to our rants and raves, dontcha think?
Plus I had the best feel good moment the other day. Saturday night I had slept at Brian's (my Brian who I've probably mentioned before...) grandmother's house since he ever so sweetly didn't want me driving the long way home by myself at night. So the next day my two hour drive was undertaken with my horribly tangled hair pulled back in a clip (curls, once fixed to perfection, require washing before any attempt at making them look decent the next morning), the same clothes I'd worn the day before (and slept in) and my breath only bareable because I was chewing mints. I now have replaced the emergency toothbrush and toothpaste in my car, you'll be happy to know.
Regardless, I stop to get water and (the actual reason) make sure I am going the right direction to get home in. I did this quite frequently, actually, and I don't like going into stores without buying something. I bought sunglasses, water, candy and even put gas in my car way before it was necessary all so that I wouldn't leave a single gas station that I stopped at without having paid for something.
So I walk into the second gas station of the morning, new sunglasses on my head, and the first thing he says to me is "Looking gorgeous today."
Me: *wonders if he means the weather... then preens belatedly*
I bought bottled water which is normally in the dollar 20ish price range, I figure, and he gave me a discount. Only made me pay him a dollar. Talk about an ego boost! I did look quite horrible, I confirmed that in the mirror when I finally crawled into my house tired and sick of my car, but it's still great when that sort of thing happens. Sort of like when people open doors for you. That is definitely a perk of being female. Not many men will allow you to do it for them as well. I try, mind you, but they always reach a hand over my hand and hold open the door that way. It is either walk on at that point of stay standing just like we are.

Haha, I love it when I get tourist customers at my store. They're always so fascinated with it and all the crap we have jammed in. Also, I get a kick out of giving foriegners directions. It's so funny when they don't get what I'm saying. (I mean foriegn as in out of the country, and when I give directions it's very animated).
My most recent "feel good moment" came when Adam and I were on a date this weekend and I was talking about something. He was looking at me funny so I asked what was wrong and he said "You're beautiful."
Cheesy, I know, but I love it. XD

Nah, I don't think you could of looked that bad Nymmy-muns ^_^. Anyway.. my latest "feel good moment" was probably on Saturday. Me and Pat (my baby) were sitting on my bed and we were just talking about anything and everything that came to mind. He was acting kinda funny so I asked him if he was okay, or if it was too hot in the room (since my room likes to say hot as hell e.e) and he was like "Uhh no" and I just blinked. He then was like "What would you do if I asked you to marry me at the graduation" and I was like " !!! I'd probably faint!" and he was like "Well.. first I have to ask you mom for permission to marry you" and I was like "EKKK" (Okay, he's probably gonna ask my mom because, as some of you don't know me well, my daddy died two days before my 14th b-day) So umm yeah. So now that I know he wants to marry me I've been overly excited to be near him! ^^

The best moment I have had in all my life was when Brian was here and we would cuddle and talk...no no that's wrong...it would have to be when we went to Busch Gardens and we ran away from the group to spend time alone. I loved that...and I bought him a sweater cause I forgot to pack his... lol. It was funny! he was so cold!!! but we had a blast, and I loved us getting on the front of the rollercoasters, and me and him going on the battering ram...aka the boat. LMAO! He was laughing the whole ride, said it tickled!!! that was a blast, and it was instresting night sleeping in my little 2002 celica...both in the passenger seat. *grins*

Feel good moment?
Here's one.
The day that my Mom and Dad told me that they were going to pay to get me my new teeth.
But wait.. it gets better...
My Mom got her money! Woot! Now she gets a new house, she already got a new Yukon, (that's really my Dad's) and I get my new teeth in three weeks.
How's that for feeling good?
No more pain and uglyness for the Shari!!! YAAAAAAY!!!

A feel good moment. - thinks. -
Yesterday, I was at my boyfriend's house because his mom invited me over to dinner. And I felt really good, because I had made a good impression, and she loved me. So I was sitting in his car, just being excessively happy (because all women know that when your significant other's mother likes you, it's in the bag), and my boyfriend just told me how much he loves me. It was nice. I liked that.
Oh, and the day before, I wore a cute skirt from Victoria's Secret, and actually did my hair (opposed to .. jeans and t shirts and ponytails), and I had random people coming up to me telling me I was pretty. ^^ It was so fun!

((this counts as feel good... I cracked up!!!))
*SOUTHERN GIRLS*
Someone once noted that a Southerner can get away with the most awful kind of insult just as long as it's prefaced with the words, "Bless her heart" or" Bless his heart". As in, "bless his heart, if they put his brain on the head of a pin, it'd roll around like a BB on a 6-lane highway"
I was thinking about this the other day when a friend was telling about her new transplanted northern friend who was upset because her toddler is just beginning to talk and he has a southern accent. My friend, who is very kind and, bless her heart, cannot do a thing about those thighs of hers, was justifiably miffed about this. After all, this woman had CHOSEN to move to the South a couple of years ago. "Can you believe it?" said her friend, "A child of mine is going to be "taaaallllkkin liiiike thiiiissss."
Now, don't get me wrong. Some of my dearest friends are from the North, bless their hearts. I welcome their perspective, their friendships, and their recipes for authentic Northern Italian food. I've even gotten past their endless complaints that you can't find good bread down here. And the heathens, bless their hearts, don't like cornbread!
We've already lost too much. I was raised to say "swanee," not swear, but you hardly ever hear anyone say that anymore, I swanee you don't. And I've caught myself thinking twice before saying something is "right much," "right close," or "right good" because non-natives think this is right funny indeed.
I have a friend from Bawston who thinks it's hilarious when I say I've got to "carry" my daughter to the doctor or "cut off" the light. She also gets a giggle every time I am "fixin'" to do something. And, bless their hearts, they don't even know where "over yonder" is, or what "I reckon" means!
My personal favorite was my aunt, saying, "Bless her heart, she can't help being ugly, but she could've stayed home." Southern girls know bad manners when they see them: 1. Drinking straight out of a can. 2. Not sending thank you notes. 3. Velvet after February 4. White shoes before Memorial Day or after Labor Day
Southern girls always say: 1. "Yes, ma'am." 2. "Yes, sir."
Southern girls have a distinct way with fond expressions: 1. "Y'all come back now, ya heaah." 2. "Well, bless your heart." 3. "Drop by when you can." 4. "How's your mama?" 5. "Love your hair."
Southern girls know their three R's: 1. Rich 2. Richer 3. Richest
Southern girls know everybody's first name: 1. Honey 2. Darlin' 3. Shugah
Southern girls know the movies that speak to their hearts: 1. "Gone With the Wind" 2. "Fried Green Tomatoes" 3. "Driving Miss Daisy" 4. "Steel Magnolias"
Southern girls know their cities dripping with Southern charm: 1. Hotlanta or Adlanna (Atlanta as outsiders say) 2. Richmon 3. Challston 4. S'vannah 5. Birminham 6. Nawlins' 7. Oh! and that city in Alabama ? It's pronounced MUNTGUMRY!
Southern girls know the three deadly sins: 1. Bad hair 2. Bad manners 3. Bad blind dates
G.R.I.T.S. = Girls Raised in The South!
Now you run along, Shugah, and send this to someone else Raised In The South, i.e., Southern Belles, or ANY females aspiring to be GRITS. Even the northern ones, "Bless Their Hearts".
That Reminds me. I have a rubber stamp that says "Just because your children were born in the South does not make them Southerners. After all, if a cat had kittens in the oven, that wouldn't make them biscuits."
