I know this should be in the Q&A boards, yet I doubted it would recieve much attention given the little trafic to that section of the GM boards.
So allow me to pose the few questions I have for the members of Golden Myst, on what they think of Story Lines, namely how they are run, and what they have experienced or enjoyed about the ones they have participated in.
First I'd love to get an idea of setting. I myself, have participated in many SL's ranging many of the kingdoms and Guilds before them and have always found setting critical to the mood, and eventual path the SL will take as it unfolds the events. Namely the setting dictates alot of the characters and their interactions as well. How have the members of Golden Myst played this before, or what would a member like to see?
Secondly the cover plot. This can range from anything to romance, to villian, to even something about a baker rolling dough on the street. Whats your favorite kind, and how do you like it ordered?
Third sub plot. Something that usually isnt hit on till much later in most SL's, unless the foil and protaganist have a current history, or are both far in their character development. The underlying morale of the story, the tempo that the mood is set on. How do you feel this reflects on the cover plot, which ones have you liked in the past, or ones you just generally like?
Fourth, the villians/foil/conflict. I mash these together because its usually a simple answer. Sub-plot can cover motives, but whats the conflict that our protaginist finds them in that moves you? What kind of villians do you love to hate? What can bring the worst out in your characters and how do you think this can affect the other three items listed?

Please, feel free to add any questions, and answer as much as you like, to this Q&A. I thought it might be a nice diversion if the members of Golden Myst could just voice some sort of collective opinion, but please, do be civil.
