Oh and just to clear something else up? I wasn't being "curt" ...I was actually trying to be funny if you would have looked at the last part of my post. I snorted. I have no problem with the mun. If I did, I would have approached her personally. I specifically stated in that post that I know the difference between charrie and mun, because I had that problem when I was Lina. People assumed that because of something Lina did, I did it out of spite or anger and so on. So if you are done accusing me now, I'm gonna go have FUN roleplaying. Have a nice day!!

I was not trying to get you all worked up Shari, and nor did I use any foul language. Plus, you missed my entire point.
My point WAS that you had not told her IC. No one did. THAT was the point I was trying to make.
According to you, this also means that in addition to no one contacting Shara IC and at least giving her a "Oh by the way, we kicked you out of GM", which I think is preferable as it affects the character's storyline, however Shara and her mun had no clue they were not on the roster until two days after the roster went out. So, I submit the decision to kick Shara out was done OOC, considering that nothing IC took place to that effect, (eg. Arathorn being exiled away from GM took place IC in a chat with Nicho present), and we left her in limbo for two days until she was finally told of it OOC...and not IC. By doing this, this means that anyone of us can be expelled from GM without so much as an "oh by the way" to our characters which is the whole POINT of the roster and rping since it directly affects how storylines are drawn out, and we are left in limbo until a few days goes by and we happen to look at the message board, or a week or two goes by and we get nothing. Another valid point is that even an email done IC would've let Shara and her mun know of the decision either before the roster went out or when it did.
Well, now that I see what the others were talking about, I humbly apologize for even posting on this board. I will be deleting my GM sn, without giving anyone in GM an email or letting anyone know IC because hey..if Shari or Nicho is able to take someone off the Roster of their own accord..done OOC..then I can do the same. As for using this guest name Shari, I'm doing it for precisely that underlying reason of why you want me to use my real name..so you can put an sn and face to who it is that has the guts to criticize you and how things are done, and attack my reputation. Well, you may figure out who I am when the next roster goes out, but it won't make any difference by then. On a last note, calm down...I was not even trying to rip on you and yet you blast back at me with curses. Try actually having a viable debate without one curse word, and it may help you when talking to others.

Nobody is "notified" IC when they are put on the roster, I don't have time for that anymore. If they are accepted, they are simply added to the roster.
Conversely, when someone is dropped, they are simply removed.
You take your character and attack GoldenMyst members and allies and expect to remain a part of the kingdom? Think again.

For once, I really don't know what's going on. Despite being out of the loop, however, I will defer to Kyle and Shari's opinions, until given reason to do otherwise.
From what I gather, Shara attacked people attending a funeral, a purely IC act without any malice from the mun, and was removed from the roster. So the argument here is that it wasn't fair to abruptly terminate something as OOC as a place in the roster in response to an IC act, without so much as a parallel IC encounter to explain it?
I guess that makes sense, but, really, things like this happen all the time in a loosely bureaucratic community dependant on e-mail. Nicho was informed of the attack and made the appropriate change in his roster document, and that was that. Attacks lead automatically to dismissal, that is common sense and KoGM Rule #3.
This is not the same, as you imply, as simply removing a member for no reason; Shara realy should have expected this the moment she typed her attacks. Because of the assumed IC estrangement of the hostile character, there really is no "limbo" unless it is by the fault of the mun (no offense to Shara-mun, whose actions and views I don't accurately know). Anyone who executes a premediated assault on a funeral then shows up in the main hall the next day is asking for an awkward situation, they shouldn't need the roster to tell them that.

While we are discussing IC vs OOC reactions... Shara attacked a group of less than 10 people with ten thousand troops. If you were planning to do that would you not first pack a bag and find someplace to hide? That she has come into GoldenMyst since is news to me and admittedly a little surprising. We are talking about a funeral where both Nicho and Rayna were invited. Had she successfully harmed anyone in the group, she'd have had quite a few people wanting her head at the moment. Besides royalty the guest list included quite a few other people in leadership positions.
Following that line of reasoning, how would Nicho, Kolava or a messenger find her? And who would we like to risk in order to deliver the somewhat unnecessary letter stating that, since she knowingly put the king and company in a hazardous situation, she is out of the kingdom? While the mun recycles, the character is very dangerous and more than likely a tad insane at the moment.
Which means that yes, she is doing an incredible job with her baddie. She is a wonderful little villian and already has done enough bad that people should know to run away from her on sight. So, following that storyline and keeping in mind how our characters should act, I would think that the attack on Shari was unnecessary. If Shara mun misunderstood it then she should take that to Shari, but getting on a guest name is hardly going to do anything but make you feel you have a right to say hateful things to other muns.

::looks at all the posts and blinks, breathing fast:: Um huh yea. Well here is one for you. My char was dropped from the roster. No notice. Nothing. Did I have a cow? Um no. If everyone got a letter IC about being dropped or kicked off, Nicho mun would be doing nothing else but that. There are way to many people on the roster to take the time to talk to each person being kicked out or dropped. If she is a baddie then more power to her char. Playing a baddie is rough and some are not able to pull it off well but she IC and OOC should have known what would happen if her char attacked a funeral. Please tell me what she thought would have happened? Hot cocoa and flowers? Lets be real here. ANd Shari's post was sarcasim. Can ya smell it? I can. ::giggles:: Everyone needs to lighten up. This is RP. Not war. Do ya think we can stop attacking each other on the boards and just have fun?
Oh and Shari they made a movie called "King Arthur" Comes out in July. Looks like it is worth the nine bucks to see it opening night. July 7th I think.

::Blinks, looking at the posts::
Wow, okay well now I wish I hadn't posted anything ::dryly:: Opposable Thumb, I don't know who you are, but for one thing I LIKE these people, they were great in taking in my character and now that we have a great villain sl going I'm sure everyone's going to have a great time in trying to kill off Shara LOL. For one thing, you're damn skippy I expected to see animosity towards Shara..hell I expect to see waves of armies come crashing down at her! ::Grins:: Opposable Thumb person, for one thing I don't appreciate someone spouting off things that he/she has no clue what it is I'm doing or anyone else is doing. I was informed OOC that my character is off the Roster, which I expected. How could I not? My character tried to destroy several key characters in different allied realms, and Opposable, you think I should've stayed on the Roster? ::Snorts:: Opposable, I love these people, they are grand roleplayers and I'll admit I get anal at times (part of my nature, I have the cleanest house you can imagine lol), but that in no way means that I dislike anyone in GM. Opposable, you need to lay off of Shari, and you need to lay off of Nicho-mun, and while you're at it lay off of everyone else. Shari and Nicho-mun both do a splendid job with GM and they're exceptional roleplayers. Also, I want to apologize to you Shari if I had offended you in any way, shape, or form with my words. Like I said, I get anal at times, and you'll have to blame my mother for raising me that way heh.
Tempest, and Nym, and Kolava are all absolutely correct with their points, I mean come on..how many people would want to just walk up to a completely insane character that likes playing mind games and sicking troops on people after a funeral? Well, I hope that this ends any debate about IC versus OOC reactions. I'm fine with how things have transpired, and like Tempest said, let's get back to having fun. ::Drags Shara to another Kingdom she was "invited" to plunge into terror by its Queen...now that's weird::

I would like to point out that you are about a month late to even being remotely relevant. Though you are right. It doesn't matter how little or how much something changes. Things are basically going to remain what they are. That may only be because you are referring to a collective rather than an individual. While I knew when I woke up this morning that the world hadn't changed, there are some that didn't know that. There are people who woke up feeling like they had been so changed that the world should have been too. I personally love this group, those people who posted on this thread and Goldenmyst just the way things are. They don't have to change, though if change is needed then it is as much the fault of those who wish to whine and complain as it is those who are staying true to who they are. You want change? Make it. Do your homework first though. Don't try to stir trouble in the places where the group works. Start internally (as in the man in the mirror) and then work your way out, going by actions rather than merely stating how things should be or how they aren't. Those who wish to make things better have to sacrifice for it. And don't post silly things on old threads simply out of boredom. People like me end up putting in our two cents when you do that.
