And your age matters how child? Your mindset is that of a child that has had her world assaulted by someone that actually makes sense. How amusing really that you would play your age into this. Amusing and repulsive.
Do some growing up within your mind - perhaps you would understand that peope like me do not go away - ever. We exist to open the eyes of tohers - is that so hard to understand? Apparently so child.
Your Kingdom has been around for a while? This is no big deal. All that says is that you have been isolated for so long as to not care about the fact that none of you knows what is what anymore.
A sad state of affairs - so many Guilds and Kingdoms - Clans and Governemts - have this same problem. When those like me show up to get them to see the larger picture - we are asaulted verbally and seen as 'the bad guy'. Good day to you child, have fun in your little world of pretend - a world that is ruled by a Tyrant who cares not for change of any kind.

Just because we acknowledge the existance of RhyDin, it's even on our map, mainly because many travellers do come from there, or pass by on their way there. We actually even make occasinal visits there, I remember a particularly fun time when we went and trashed someone's inn because they came tossing spam into our castle chat about it. Entirely off the record, so to speak. (Not actually part of our SL, just something crazy fun to do.)
But back to my original point, just because we acknowlege them does not make us susceptable to any of their rules, formats or modes of play etc. We are a forum unto ourselves and me mean to stay that way.

This thread made me furious, and although Solace has pretty much said all that I have to say, I will say this.
I've been around in Rhydin guilds. I've been in forums. I've done dice. I've done elitist SLs. At the age of eleven I had people believing I was twenty one and putting English majors to shame. Name something, and I've done it. Dice spars, free form, anything. If there's anyone who has done the entire online roleplaying experience, it's probably me. The only thing I've never done is LARP, and that's fine.
But for all of the years I've been around, this guild suits me best.
This guild isn't about the numbers. It's not about trying to outrank anyone. It's not about DCs, SiC, TiC, ANY of that.
You want to know why this guild still maintains itself after so long?
It's called love.
I don't even care what you think after that. But this guild is a family. We're not just a bunch of greedy muns sending out our characters to claw eachother's eyes out for experience and rank and high dice. We're PEOPLE on the other end. We've made friendships. We've consoled and been consoled through the worst of times. We've developed relationships. We've taken the time, effort, and money to meet eachother in person.
Because, we're a family.
You find me one other guild. You find me one other guild with MUN BONDS as strong as this. You find me one other guild where people aren't just casual acquaintances, yet best friends.
Roleplay isn't just about the characters, it's about the experience that's brought about with it.
Goldenmyst is not just another guild. If it was another "moding, newbish" guild, it would have decayed by now. It's the muns that keep it going. The friendships that went on through years that kept the place running, people who thought, "Hey, I've had some great times here, I'm not going to let it perish" and worked hard to maintain its image.
Until you've experienced a guild like this, you can't say anything. Because when you come onto OUR boards, and start attacking our realm of play? Yeah, you're attacking my family, and I'll claw your fucking eyes out.
It's very simple. If you do not like us, or the rules, then don't play. No one is forcing you to stay here. And also, no one came along and asked you to critique our morals and ethics. If you want to run along, and think we're a bunch of moders and newbies, you go along and do that. Frankly, I couldn't care less.
Seriously, can't you just.. go get laid instead of picking on a guild that has different rules than what you're used to?
You come onto these boards and start degrading and deriding some of my closest friends. And you, my friend, are the callow one in this matter.
Because nobody likes a person who thinks they know it all on a topic.
