I've known alot of you longer than you think, I've Rped in RHydin since it was created and I've seen all the changes from point A to B and all the way to C. Some of you may not care for my character, some of you may not care for me, myself. That really doesn't matter to me, what matters is that I get this out in the open so here it goes.
A kingdom/guild/clan is a brotherhood/sisterhood, it is a band of people meant to support each other and help each other as family. That not only means treating each other as brothers and sisters, that means intervening yourself in the quarells of your siblings. KoGM claims to be outside the sphere of Rhydin, yet lately I have seen nothing to indicate that it isn't Rhydin iself.(with the exception of the quality of rp) KoGM will last a long time, it has good leaders, good leaders are not enough in the end. Every last one of you needs to be responsible for the actions of others, that is what makes great guilds.
When you see two people in the middle of killing each other get involved, don't step back and watch, if they hate each other that much, its because no one bothered to look in the past and help solve the problem.
I have no right to be on this board, I resigned from KoGM yesterday. This was not because I do not love Golden Myst, this is not because I do not have time. It is because Simms could not understand or accept the fact that 11 people in the castle allowed Pattrick to die for one mans ego. You may all see that death as "Oh well, he basicly comitted hari kari". That isn't the case, he was tired of being betrayed by a guild that was once his friend. I understand this, all to well.
Now that I've said my piece on this, and I truly do hope some of you take this to heart, I shall take my leave. I hope to see the members of KoGM take a little more active intrest in the people of the guild, not the guild itself and their own dice.

I for one was horrified by yesterdays events...IC Desari knew how Sataver felt about Pattrick and so on but that did not give Staver the right to do what he did not only to Pattrick but to Simms as well...This was something that got out of hand and in the end Golden Myst lost two members due to someone who took something to far...Not only was it just wrong but rules that govern this guild were broken...Things need to change in this guild...Not only the way others treat each other but the way WE all act...Simms mun...Thank you for your words...

I cannot honestly say I followed yesterday's events with any scrutiny; however, I can sympathise with any who feel a bit chilly. The line between IC and OOC isn't as distinct as I would prefer, and there is a definate lack of kinship.
I would like to make it clear, though, that I will not sympathise with nihlistic view points regarding KoGM's fate. Instead of mourning this event, our primary concern should figuring out why it happened in the first place so that we may prevent any recurrances.
(Edit: Before anyone asks, let me just clarify by saying that this post was meant to reinforce what has been said so far, not contradict it. I whole hearted agree with Simms-mun and Desari-mun)

::just shakes her head:: I was in the castle when all that took place. Unfortunately there were 15 people in the room and I was not following every single post in the room. Had I known what was going on I would have stopped it. I honestly didn't know. I agree with what Simms mun has stated. Hence Gelina's leaving the last time. It all comes down to no one cares about others, only what it is in for them or what they want to do when they want to do it. When I joined GM back in Jan 02, it was a Family. Now it's a family but only in "clicks" ...when I first came there were no clicks, and everyone backed each other up and no one turned on anyone. It was a place that I wanted to be everynight. I take part of the blame for what happened in that chatroom that afternoon, as I should have been paying more attention. I know I am one of the oldest memebers that remain on the roster, and I am sorry that I didn't see it nor do anything until it was too late. I have tried to get people to understand that the fighting and the bickering over silly stuff needs to stop. I myself have been working hard not to let the little stuff bother me. Lina holds her temper better than ever and tries to be more diplomatic about things. Talks them out, not looses her mind. But when one's obsession takes control, others that knew about it should see that as a red flag. I should have been one of them. I guess I just feel partially responsible because I have been around so long. ::sighs:: The people of GoldenMyst need to look at what happened and see that it never happens again. No matter how much one char hates another, no matter how mad the mun gets. I learned the hard way and Nicho and the HC were gracious enough to let me back in for the last time. For Staver that won't be the case. I left that last time for just this reason. No one cares about anyone else. But this is Lina's home. And it always will be. And I myself will work my hardest to make it a family like it was before.

I completely and utterly agree with you all. I myself do not know what happened between Staver, Simms, and Pattrick, but I do know that it wasn't proper or follwing GM rules. I had not realized that Pattrick was killed until I read it right here. In truth, I didn't even receive Staver's banishment papers straight from King Nicho as everyone else did. I had to acquire them from Trist. I think that our problems go deerper than just getting along. Many members just don't want to put the effort in to getting to know people and participating in the Kingdom as a family would. I really wish people would get along like they did when I joined in October of 01. I'm just glad now that so many people still care. Rob, Shari, Kyle, Mark, Christa...I'd name more if I knew you're real names. Well, I'll shut up now and go back to working on the 'Gazzette'. I just have one question, who decided to change the name without telling me?

i havent been a member of GoldenMyst for long (aka newbie hehe) but when i am in the castle i do sometimes see problems between members. its like people who have their "groups" arent willing to talk to others , except for some people like des and lina who i am glad to have met. im surprised we havent lost any members yet cause of the fact that not many people are willing to talk to the new members

Well it seems that Simms's resignation was denied. ::smiles:: Smart move Nicho. I think Simms will be a valuable asset to our kingdom. I hope he stays around for a long time.
