The Final Setting for Neil
There is a time in life that moves in joyous trumpeting, with cheers, shouts and banners high.
But also, sometimes, there is a time in life where slowness holds the air, to rock an infant, the first born grandchild, or watch children chase kittens across the yard, stumbling over their own feet while wild felines bound about.
People, almost certainly, will say there is a time in life where one must grow up, put away childish things and abandon all they knew to become something different. Something grown.
But, I would say, there is a time in life to cherish.
Hand placed on your heart in alliegence, or to roll down a grassy hill despite the fact that you'll itch for hours after or play hooky to read a well fingered book.
There is a time in life to die, when hearts just stop so people are left to remember. And, there is a time in life, to Bar-B-Que and cry.
