A song I sing of sorrow unceasing

a tale of trouble and of my woe

sharpest of sorrows, breaking heart weeping

love being the conquerer and the foe

My spirits was heavy with sorrow

a world full of hate, would tear us apaprt

My dear man and mate, would leave tommorow

only to leave me with a broken heart

plotting his admirers did propose

to wedge us apart with lies and deceit

I told them they were dirty sultry hoes

the love was strong but lies did defeat

They made him listen, I did all I can

those dirty sultry hoes still got my man.

I'm glad the ho's got your man. Anyway, I was going to say, I dunno if it was just a typo, but it might be "My spirit was" or "My spirits were". I dunno. I just bothered me for some reason. It was prolly just a typo.
