Sometimes writing is meant to be shared in private. Personally I will put my name with any work of art I've done simply because that's the way I am, whether or not people agree with a topic I present if I feel strong enough to say it I'll stand behind it. But I know alot of people who write poems and stories and don't want people to know it's them. It's perfectly fine.
