Highway

I’m walking down the street on a hot sunny day,
Watching people drive by and listening to what they have to say.
Wind is blowing through my hair,
Oh that hot blast of air.
I can feel my body sweating from the heat,
Listening to a Limp Bizkit beat.

I have to agree with them,
Have to go my way.
I can hear the voices in my head,
And this what I have to say.

I must follow my heart when it calls,
Not to act like some pretty china doll.
I have to dress how I want to,
Not in some fancy clothes some nobody designer drew.

I will be myself and put on those jeans with holes,
Reading a thick book and rubbing my knees on a grassy knoll.
Let my hair stay in its tangles,
My personality is like some isosceles triangle.

No one knows me,
Everyday is like a new jamboree.
I’ll go dancing in the light of the moon,
Riding on a black stallion on a hot sand dune.

I have to agree with them,

Don’t tell me what I should or shouldn’t do,
I’m not some puppet to do things for you.
I will cut my strings and walk away,
Hoping into my car and down onto the highway.

It’s a cool sunny day,
I’m in my car as I pull on over and say.
Are you heading my way?
Come on lets get lost on the highway.

yeah but most of these are old poems, the latest was The Immortals... the rest I've done over the last 4 to 5 years. I've been told I should make a book, I might when I get the money of if someone sponsors me. I got enough to make one and I can even add a little story at the end. Who knows? ;D
