I'm going to go with a bit of backstory here so that the logs that I post make sense to all of you. It can be confusing.
For the time that most of us were away and KoGM was shut down, Gelina was living with Syn in Larshia. When Gelina found out that Magus had been turned into a woman, Maga'ra, she went to go see her. Maga'ra offered her a position at the Empire of Kisareth as Administrator of State. Gelina accepted and stayed there for a while.
When Maga'ra became ill, they found out it was because Magus was trying to manifest himself seperately from Maga'ra. He made himself known and asked Gelina and Xiria to help him become his own entity again. They agreed.
Magus claimed the reason he returned was because of Gelina and that he still loved her. Soon after that, she moved to Infernus, Magus' tower, to be with him. During that time, she battled his "dark side" The Dark Lord of the Rim Kingdoms.
After much discussion after that, Magus realized that Gelina had been "touched" by Lee blood and that she too had a dark side. Hence the log of The Dark Phoenix.
Not long after that, Gelina realized that Magus was bringing out the dark sides in most everyone around him, setting himself up a dark army of sorts. Gelina, being of mostly light, feared the worst and had to find a way out. Knowing that Magus would not let her go willingly, she came up with a plan.
In the middle of the night, she snagged an Imp Guard and killed him, making it look like suicide. Then she placed the body in Infernus Tower where Magus would find it, and transformed the Guard to look like herself, making them all think she relented her immortality and took her own life, then she fled in the night back to Larshia. And Syn.
She had gotten word that Syn was dying of some sort of virus that was in his blood and that there was no known cure for it. When she finally arrived back at Larshia, she went to go see him. Mind you he was not very happy to see her. She told him that she was there to save his life, that she now had the power to do so. Syn was angry that she had left him for Magus and he let her know it. After some arguing, Syn finally gives in and agrees to let Lina heal him by using The Dark Phoenix to burn the virus out of his blood. Upon successfully healing him and saving his life, they both proceeded to argue more, Syn threatening to leave her for good this time.
The argument went on for hours, into the night. But when all was said and done, they both realized that without each other, neither one of them could breathe. That very night Lina asked Syn to marry her. He said yes. (log posted)
So now all of you are up to speed and understand why Lina did what she did. The wedding will be sometime in April.
