She had finally made it home. The last two days had been spent in battle and healing her sorry ass. Immortal she was but she swore every muscle and bone in her body hurt. The Orcs had done a fine job on her. Even after feeding on Trent and Logan, she still hurt. At least she hadn't come home covered in blood and wounds like she did the last time.
Oh but Ash was still not happy. Oh he understood but still he was not happy. However that all changed after she had tucked her self in bed. She had shown him the roster. She was now division leader of the Magi. Despite of whom she was, her hard work had paid off.
He was proud of her to say the least and she basked in his praise. She remembered a time when she was not strong enough and he pushed her. And she had thanked him for it. And she did so again. Crawling into bed with her, his arms wrapped around her waist, holding her close. They spoke for hours about how to best handle the fact that she would need to spend more time at GoldenMyst. Finally they came to an understanding.
He would travel back to BlackCross and check their holdings there, taking the boys with him. Training would be involved along the way of course. She would take Arianna and move back to GoldenMyst. They would meet back at the cabin in two months time. Good Gods two months away from each other? Surely she would go mad? He laughed and promised that she wouldn't. She pouted when he kissed the top of her head. He would leave first light and she would leave by the next day. She wondered how Arianna would cope. Sadly she was just like her mother. Maybe she should warn everyone? However, she knew the boys would be safe with him and had no worries.
After a very hectic afternoon of talking with the children, packing, training for all of course, supper and bed, she collapsed against her husband; who had loved her thoroughly, and slept like the dead.
