Kalim stopped to pick up another smooth shell. This time it was with his right hand. Fingers caressed the surface, looking down at it in his hands. Zvi grew restless, another squawk before taking up into the sky again. The sound of terrorized sea gulls soon was heard, as his pet hawk had some fun chasing them.
Blue hues moved to the water, yet again sending the shell skipping across its surface. Eyes caught something then, from the corner, as his head turned to see a woman. He recognized her as one from the wedding. However, he didn't make any approach to say anything. He'd let the people there form their own opinions about him. After all, any bad opinions would be proved wrong in due time.
Silent, he turned to head back toward the path. He stopped, however, upon seeing Anduin. The last time Kalimar had seen him was quite recently, though Kalim had projected himself through the spirit world. He made no moves. Had Anduin ever known the history between Kalimar and Angel? Once the two had been great friends, and Kalimar chose to honor their friendship instead of pursuing a deceptive relationship.
After a while, the squawking died down. Zvi had disappeared altogether. Another glance was given to the woman, who was now walking away, before turning to look back to Anduin. He then stepped forward, to greet him.

:Seeing Kalimar take a step towards him, Anduin walked towards Kalimar, a small smile forming on his face as he did so. He stopped scant inches from where Kalimar was as he spoke: Greetings Kalimar. I almost expected you to be hovering by the fire, rather than two feet on the ground...

He laughed a bit, at the comment made by his old friend. "Well, this angel doesn't really have much of a reason to be soaring tonight..." His genuine smile came forth, as he embraced his friend in a hug. "I take it the weapon you made was a success?"
Letting go, Kalimar would move to put his suspenders back on properly. He straightened out his hair a bit, trying not to look like such a wreck. Anduin had been his partner in crime, so to speak. Kalimar had originally come to these lands a much different person than he was. Anduin had sided with him and his former beliefs. Through that, they came to be great friends. Even now, when his views had changed so much...he still felt the connection with the man.
"I see you were the smarter of us two..." Thumbs moved into pockets as fingers idly tapped away. "Whereas you were smart enough to stay away, I couldn't help but listen to my heart and come..."
He paused a moment. "By the way, you smell like a vampire. Not going soft on me, are you?" A wink, at the joke. Back then, Kalimar and Anduin would have attempted to kill a vampire on sight.

:Anduin chuckled softly at the joke Kalimar made, a warm smile forming on his face: My new love, Tempest BlackCross: He slowly crossed his arms over his burly chest, a look of curiosity on his face as the ocean breeze gently blew his hair: So, what might you be doing out here by yourself?

Kalimar looked at Anduin. "What's the matter? Afraid I've come back for a second attempt to purge the lands of demons and undead?" He grinned, glad to get his mind off other things.
"This is my home, Anduin. Am I not allowed to come back here when I please?" He shrugged his shoulders. Kalimar had only considered one other place home in his life, and he couldn't go back there. So GoldenMyst remained his only option.
"Besides, I wouldn't really call it alone. I still have Zvi and Anwar with me."

When Kalimar walked off after biding her goodnight, her visage faded as she watched him go down the beach. Though her image was gone, she herself still stood in the front of WillowCreek, hanging on to that branch, watching all that happened on the beach. Sensing all who was there.
Riley. The wolf woman. She didn't know her well, but knew good things about her and figured she was just watching and keeping an eye on things for Gelina.
And then there was Anduin. The man that was like her brother. One of three men in her life that she ever let herself get close to. Nicho and Drako being the other two.
With her eyes still closed, she watches as Anduin approches Kalimar to speak with him. She would give anything to really be there right now. She didn't have Drako anymore since he was dead, and now finding out that Anduin was still alive and well made her quite happy.
Hearing the faint cry of Paul from inside, her eyes open and she turns to walk back inside the cabin. Maybe it was time to actually pay a visit to the kingdom. As she closes the door behind her, she wonders what Nicho would think of the idea.

:Anduin nodded slowly as he looked around once more, glancing out to the ocean, a contemplative look on his face as he looked back to Kalimar: So, did you go to Angel and Kai's wedding?

:An eyebrow would arch as Anduin looked at Kalimar, a solemn expression forming on his face as he spoke once more: Unfortunately? Why do you say that? Did something happen at the wedding?

He looked at Anduin for a moment. Trying to think of something to say, he couldn't cover his ass on this one. He would tell the truth.
"Listen...Anduin...I'm not sure if you know this..." He paused for a moment. "But Angel and I fell for each other...a while back."
He looked down at the sand at his feet, rubbing the back of his neck. "It was sort of while you two were together, and during the time you disappeared...but before we let it grow into anything, I told her that we couldn't follow our emotions. She was so dead set on the fact that you would return, and I didn't want to betray the friendship that we had, so I didn't pursue my feelings any further..."
He looked back up to the barbarian knight now. "My feelings for her were always there though, and I waited for her patiently. However, each time she had found someone else to replace the man that left her...and I was left on the back burner as a safety net."
He stopped, and looked at Anduin. He wasn't sure if this was the first time Anduin was hearing this news or not. "The real reason I came back was because I heard about the wedding, and I could not deny the feelings I had for her in my heart any longer. I came back to object to the wedding, but my efforts were in vain."
He shrugged, before stepping back a half step. He wasn't sure if he was about to be slugged in the face or not.
