The Darkness

He had spiraled up almost into the cosmos where there was not sufficent oxygen for the phoenix to sustain itself he could still feel the phoenix tearing away his conscious but it's struggle was weakening he was also becomming weaker than in an instant there was an explosion... but what was it.. his consciousness took an instant to realize that it was him that had exploded than there was darkness... nothing his body was gone.. he was gone there was nothing left of the great dragon.. or the phoenix.. or was there.. in the darkness he could make out a pin point of light.. what was it? He had no idea, where was he? good guess it seemed he was nowhere and also that he was nothing but there was that pin point of light.. and that was something so he focused on that pin point of light and with what will he had left he made his way toward the light... it was suprisingly easy to move without a body here, wherever here was and as he moved toward the light he began to feel warm... strange he was nothing that could resemble a form he was no form of matter at all but he felt the warmth.... and he could see as well though he had no eyes he was obviousl an entity of some kind.. the silence was defening maybe because he had no ears to hear with all this made him uneasy... than in the distance where the light was he heard a faint noise... even with no ears he could hear it... it was a soft whistling.. He got closer.. warmer... the light before only a pin point now growing to a dot.. more the light grew... louder the sound got hotter he felt.. he shuddered somehow he felt a wave of panic and he willed himself to stop but he could not he was being pulled toward the light the sound and heat all of which strangely comforted him... but at the same time sent him to a panic... the sound now could be identified as the high pitch cry of a bird... Not just any bird though... the warmth had now grown to a blazing inferno.. but it did not burn him.. the light flared out like a super nova it all spiraled toward him and impacted him he saw a blinding flash than oblivion.. only the faint whispers of a familiar voice as he felt himself turning end over end the euphoric feeling of falling.. though it was a slow gradual fall.. he could now feel limbs.. arms legs a torso head hair it was all there now in an instant he had been reforged he opened himself to the heat the fire and the sounds of the Phoenix being reborn echoed through out his being as he found life anew.. but what did this mean for those he had sacrificed himself to save...

The Umbra it was the place spirits existed, and something the Garou were well known for. Being part fae she could merge it with the portals of mirrors. She knew that Lina felt so bad thinking she'd destroyed Brandon, being Riley she wanted Lina happy. Contemplating about a lot, as she wanted Lina happy.. and that meant bringing back a friend to show she was not going to lose everything slowly. Now.. Riley wasn't immortal but she knew a way to reach spirits.

Stepping into the Umbra the spin of colors, felt like her spirit and her body were being split apartas she moved up trying to track him in her wolven form. She would find him, head tossed back and let her howl vibrate through the darkness.

He was swimming in darkness for some time before he finaly became aware once again.. He still had no idea where he was.. he rubbed his hands over his face... hands? before the light before had blacked out he was nothing... no body. He placed his hands on his chest, yes there was flesh and beneath that bone he was whole once again. But the problem was he still had no idea where he was.. he opened his mouth "Hello?"" the word echoed on for what seemed forever before fading... He closed his eyes and concentrated he could feel his power once again woking within him and then he fell spiraling over and over than with a thud landing on what felt like ground.. he made his way to his feet and very uneasily got his balance raising his hand it caught fire with a thought and he held t up like a torch. What he saw then was enough to send him into a panic... it was a field filled with bodies.. humans, dragons, so on.. at first he believed he was back in his kingdom.. but he was wrong. At one point in his life he had been a warlord.. he had killed thousands. No millions he was now standing in the remaments of one of those battles now.. But how? that was centuries ago.. than from within he felt something tug at the back of his subconscious now he had understood.. the man he was then was a dormant part of his subconscious.. just as phoenix had been.. At some point the two must have melded.. the phoenix adopted his old ways and lost control of itself.. it was unaable to deal with what it was processing... now he understood.. the phoenix was showing him why it had done what it had done... now his mind was filled with sorrow as the phoenix projected it's reorse onto him he sighed "I am very sorry this was never meant to be... I should not have confined you to a subconscious place.. rather than teaching you right from wrong.." He felt the entitys responce.. it was warmth love.. like a child to it's parent.. A tear trickled down his cheek as he emulated those feelings to the phoenix.. He had killed the creature at such a young age.. before it ever had a chance to develop and learn.. it's true parent had placed the spirit of it in him.. and he had failed it.. he had failed his child.. though it lived in him he had failed to see what it really was "Bond with me child together we will teach one another and together we will find the right path come son our destiny awaits.." That was it the entity surged forth from his mind and filled every fiber of his being.. there was an instant melding of the mind spirit and body they instantly became one the dragon the phoenix they were reborn into one another a new being was forged.. than somewhere in the distance he heard a howl... it echoed through the darkness.. a haunting sound that sounded as though it was as much one with the darkness as he was now with phoenix... A smile crossed his face than with but a thought his body transformed to that of a flaming bird and he rocketed across the nothingness toward the sound his answer that of a shrill almost super sonic call of a Phoenix.. it was time to go home, It was time to right his wrongs once and for all It was time to find Riley and hope she could lead him out of this cursed darkness and back into the light.. Back to those he loved the cry of the mighty bird echoed out through the darkness and back across te lands of rhydin and reverberated through the halls of goldenmyst castle.. the phoenix withn him instead of whispers of malice only projected an excited urdge to return to home.. and a warmth that spilled through hs mind and through his body.. it was comforting he was excited life was going to be grand

The Darkness was nothing new to the lupine as her coat was that matching in its eternal shade with the ripple of the golden tips that ruffled the thick pelt and the celtic designs made. Here she showed she was more than just a wolf now, she was a gate not just to demons coming to the world but a gate way for people she unlocked things within their core. In truth she understood much which often through people. The topaz gaze which was of peace and primal things watched as the colours of the darkness swirled around her.

The shrill was heard in the distance, ears pricked up in response and muzzle could be seen to grin in that wolfish expression. Funny how she came to people just when they needed her. Guardian. Once he would catch sight the fae wings came into effect as she leapt up into the air to leave the golden trails behind her as she landed on the dark path. As she stepped the paw prints in that golden shade could be seen making it easy for him to follow.

"Tis time... we went home, Brandon. Oi'm completed a part in Lina but ye are also a puzzle she needs in her life. Oi'll be watchin' ye like a wolf, Oi'm guardian te 'er 'eart sa ye best knaw Oi'll nat tolerate indecision 'bout how ye be feelin' 'bout 'er."

With that the wolf ran with the phoenix through the darkness, she aced through the umbra as it seemed to want to pull at her own spirit and finally a leap done her back touching to him as they came out of the Umbra and through the mirror within her cabin home. She wasn't sure if Brandon would need his physical body to repair or rest. It was what anyone would expect of a country home in the middle of a forest. She stood, shifting to her human form letting the golden hair fall down her back, along the shoulders to offer a hand if he needed one since that portal was a bit of a shocker to the system.

"Oi was nat sura if'in ye be needin' a place te rest afta the events. Welcome te me cabin home, tis ye home if'in ye need it te be."

He followed riley to the portal and in the sky of the real world there was an explosion.. like a star exploding in the heavens, fire shot forth momentarily illuminating the night before spiraling down like a great flaming tornado before gathering on the ground and slowly extinguishing to reveal his human form.. he dropped to one knee for a moment and exhaled deeply.."Yes thank you Riley a place to rest would be fantastic exiting that lace was more taxing on me than I believed it would be" He stood once again and followed her inside for a good long rest

Watching him as it seemed he was happy to be alive once more as she let him in.

"Upstairs there be tio bedrooms, Oi da nat sleep 'er much since Oi be mostly out on patrols oir beside Lina. But if'in ye eva need me and Oi nat be here.. simply step out and there be a normal wolf of me pack te take a message te me. h.. and please da nat burn up me cabin.. agreed?"

She knew she had to return back to Lina, who knows what might have occured while she was here bringing back Brandon. She stepped down towards the kitchen adjusting her blouse and trousers letting bare feet carry her to the cooking area.

"Hope ye are hungry fer some rabbit stew."

He chuckled and nodded "I promise your cabin will nae be burned" at the sound of food his stomach grumbled.. and apparently the phoenix agreed because he felt a warmth in the back of his mind "I am hungry enough for a herd of cattle.." he bowed to Riley lightly "Thank you for your help" Than he fetched some stew and made his way for some well deserved rest to let himself recharge

She let him have some stew there was plenty for servings, it was a peaceful place no distractions even a separate dojo in the back she had recently worked on. And thus where she would be should he need her for talk or food of course.

Golden hair fell down in sweeping grace across the shoulders, adorning her dark green japanese kimono styled shirt with sleeves past the waistline with white loose pants as bare feet touched the ground. Swords equipped, the shoulder pad on the left was spiked as she slid the door to the right and entered the training area. Lighting a candle at the altar with the little prayer spot she knelt on a flat cushion placing hands together as head bowed forward in meditation.

He awoke after what seemed like days of sleep, his body still felt like it was drained of energy.. He was confused by this but paid it no mind, He did after all just return from the dead and that had to be one hell of an ordeal to bounce back from.. He took a moment to glance around the room, Riley’s cabin was quiet and isolated in the forrest which he liked after a few moments He sat up and stretched before standing and moving his way down the stairs and outside where he found a member of Riley’s pack. He gave the animal a nod and moved out to investigate her grounds.
There was a slight over cast but there were small pin points of light which dotted the ground between the trees. He ran his hand through one of them and felt a small swirl inside his mind, The phoenix reacted to the sun light and he stopped curious about this. He had no idea about the capabilities of his new found abilities and was anxious to explore. He reached out to touch the light again and the phoenix stirred. “I wonder” He said quietly to himself it was over cast and with a thought his body exploded into flames and he rocketed up into the air at an incredible speed that startled him a little. He shot through the clouds at such a speed that they spiraled like in a swirl, as he rose up over the clouds the flames parted and dispursed leaving his human form suspended in mid air... The sunlight bathed his entire body and filled him with such intence power, all his fatigue and weakness doubt everything vanished in an instant and in it’s place power unimaginable power.
He gazed around the sky and noticed his perception had been refined and changed heightened. He looked to the ground and with a thought the clouds parted and even though he was most likely miles up he could still see everything as though he were standing right there on the ground. He felt suddenly as though the sunlight had done it’s job and he slowly coasted back down to the ground. He could feel everything the waves of life force from everything the birds the trees gods furry creatures people and different species of humanoids. He sensed Riley’s wolf pack which seemed to be keeping tabs on his movements He sensed their uneasiness at his demonstrations of power though minuscule as they were He also sensed Gelina. He felt her back at Golden Myst, in her library From where he was he got an over all view of her condition after their unfortunate quarrel.
At the thought of this there was a wave of remorse which washed over his mind and flooded through his body which made him shiver.. The Phoenix was very remorseful about what it had done to her and Golden Myst..
It was still amazing to him how much power he felt within himself and he was ready to discover it’s potential and limits but in time he would discover it.. First he needed to mend his fences, With a thought his body exploded into the large flaming bird that lived within him and he shot off into the sky back toward GM.
