She lifts her dark brown, almost black eyes to look into Tempest's. "Nothing. I'm fine." Straigtening herself upright in the chair again, eyes darting to her little second counsin. "He's so much like you." Raking a hand through her hair, she pushes aside the memories and burys them deep. Wishing to never have to deal with them again. Maybe she could find a wizard to wipe out her memory. Yeah, that's it! She slumps in the chair.

::Watching Payne flop her moods around like a fish, she stood and shook her head:: Oh yea. Your fine all right. Um. Yea. Sure. And I am a lady. ::Snorting, she walked into the kitchen and made Cambridge his breakfast. Feeding him his favorite food, mushed bannas and honeycakes, she smiled as she realized he did not paint the walls this morning. Scooping him up, she stood in the doorway and looked at Payne again:: So when can we leave?

Looks up at Tempest in the doorway. "We can leave whenever you want." Raising a brow. "Aren't you gonna pack anything?" Surely she would need all of Cambridge's things as well as her own. "I've procured a couple of horses, aside from the one you have, to carry your things. And it's really not that far away." With that she stands and walks out the front door to the two horses, grazing on some semi-dead flowers out front of Tempest's cottage, where she waits.

::Simply raising her brows as she watches Payne walk outside, she called out to the ever present imps. Three of them proceeded into her room and pack everything as she dressed her self and Cambridge. Giving the orders that they were to load the two horses outside and that one of them would remain behind to take care of the house, she walked outside and cocked her head at her cousin:: Well everything is set. ::She looked back at the cabin and stopped for a second as memories of everything that had happened in this place washed over her. Some good. Some bad. She shook it off and looked to Payne:: Ready?

After mounting her white steed, she looks back at her cousin. "Yeah, let's go." Pulling the reins and wheeling her horse around, she moves down the path towards Mysthaven. Now she didn't know if this was going to work or not, but it was the only place she knew of that they could lie low in so that Priest couldn't get a hold of Cambridge. She would die before she let that blood-sucking, self righteous, greedy monger take anyone from her family. Glancing back to see if Tempest was keeping up with Cambridge, she gives a small smile then leads the way in silence.

::Mounting her horse, she adjusted Cambridge and settled in for the ride. She had no idea where they were going and it really didn't matter. She knew her and her son would be safe. Gods what a concept. She hadn't felt safe in months. The only times she felt truly safe was when she was in the presence of three people. And one of them was with her now. It wasn't that she could not protect her self but she was no longer alone in this world. She looked down at Cambridge and gave that stupid grin. He was simply watching everything around him. Eyes wide as they traveled. She thought of one man and bit her lower lip. She had no idea where he was and suddenly a low dull pain settled in her chest. She missed him and knew with her leaving the cottage and with his disappearance as well, they would more then likely never see each other again. For a brief moment she closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she slowly opened them and looked to Payne. She smiled as she noticed Payne looking back at them. Giving a small nod to her, she followed suit and wondered what would happen next::

What happened next kind of threw her through a loop. Some how on their journey, she had become separated from Payne. She honestly had no idea where she was or how to get back to her cabin. She had become turned round and was not a happy camper. She cast a spell for the imps to come to her aid. Hell if she would call for family. She'd rather eat dirt. Suddenly a brilliant light lit the night and she was guided to a place that was very familiar to her. The glade. It had been a while since she had been here. By the time she had arrived they had set up camp and she was so happy to finally know where she was she gave out a yelp. Sliding from her horse, she made her way to the tent with a sleeping Cambridge. Collapsing on the soft rugs that covered the hard earth beneath the tent, she instantly fell asleep::

~Good to see your still alive...~
A simple seeming whisper lost upon the wind but a familiar aura would warm her as Cambridge would seemingly cuddle up closer to her sleeping quite heavily. Oddly a campfire would be burning outside, small logs in a moderate dug pit. She could feel the eyes from the shadows staring right through the tent flaps at her.

::She sat up slowly as she felt him close. Cambridge snuggled next to her on his side. His thumb in his mouth as usual. Covering him with a blanket so he would not catch a chill, she stood. Blue-black hair hung loose to the backs of her knees. Ice blue hues looked around. Grabbing a blanket, she wrapped it around her self and walked out into the night. The fire was burning brightly as she walked toward the pit in which it burned. Not wanting to break the peace stealing over her, she answered him back. Her voice tickling the edges of his mind:: ~You know I don't give up that easily.~ ::She lowered her head and waited.::

~I know.~ Would seemingly come from her left in the darkness.
~But you could give up easily.~ Would seemingly come from her right in the woods.
~Or you can just stand there and wait for me forever.~ Would come from the woods before her.
"Because I won't step into the light..." Right from behind her. If she were to turn, he would not be standing there.
