::After taking him throught the healers to clean him up, the guards placed Drako on a decorated table in the main hall. They stood watch by the body and told anybody who asked what had happened. (Read "Sundering of the Soul")::

It did not take long for word to spread that one of the Royal Guard had fallen. Wearing her black evening gown, her ebony hair down to mark the somber occasion, the Duchess of GoldenMyst descended the stairs from her tower, heading to pay her respects.
Nothing could prepare her for the shock that stole her breath when she laid eyes upon the dead body of Drako Lathen.
For a moment, all movement ceased. She did not blink, she did not breathe, she did not flinch - she only stared. Slowly, she moved to his side, and then passed a trembling hand over his face, caressing his cheek.
Her delicate face was stoic, somber as she stood at his side. Against her will, her eyes misted, the corners of her mouth tugging downward. She withdrew her hand from his cheek to cover her mouth.
"Oh, Drako..."

Something didn't feel right. Something was wrong. She was up in the tower nursery, holding little Paul, rocking back and forth gently when the feeling washed over her. She shudders and stops rocking, immediately getting up to lay Paul down before he senses her uneasiness and begins to cry. Pulling a blanket over her son, she tucks him in, then walks over to the window of the tower, wrapping her arms around herself, a slight frown on her face. As she stares out the window, she sees several images in her mind and now knew what had suddenly plagued her.
Turning quickly with a small cry, she runs down to the main hall, almost tripping down the stairs to where the guards had laid Drako. Stopping just inside the doorway, she sees her sister standing near Drako's body. Her bodyguard, her friend, her brother.
"Nooo! It's not true! It can't be!" Tears were streaming down her face, hands covering her mouth and nose, she simply stared at his body in disbelief.
Drako had been one of the first ones that she trusted when she came here, besides Nicho. He's always been there when she needed him, he was always there when Nicho couldn't be.
It was at this point that she sunk to her knees and sobbed in her hands.

Currenly he was in the basement meditating for a couple of days, hence why nobody ever really saw himi outside. Cut off from the world, he felt something inside his body give a tug. His eyes opened widely and his breath was lost at that moment. Rising up from the floor, he looked around. "Something isn't right. Why are people upset?" He asked himself, being conneected to the earth. He placed on his black hakama jacket. His katana would be placed on his side. Slowly he walked up to the main hall
To his surprise, he blinked. Standing there in the doorway that led into the basement. He stared in disbelif. It couldn't of happend. One of Syns closest freinds, his spar partner. His brother in way was laying on a table. He looked down and shook his head. In that moment anger and sadness rose up in his body. Rising his head up, he headed to the table. "Drako..You will...be missed.." He said softly, his hand would touch the mans forehead. His katana would be unsheated, and softly placed beside Drako. It was his way of showing very high respect to him.
Turning around, he looked to Raine and Solace. He looked down, and slowly wanderd out towards the courtyard.

Later, the next morning...
Solace Faryndale: Sitting in silence in the main hall, not far from where Drako lay, she stares into the fire in shock, in disbelief, even though there he lay, motionless. Drako had been right up there on the list of people she cared for the most. And now? Now who would watch over her when Nicho wasn't there? Who would trail after her when she went out alone? She closes her eyes again, lowering her head, more tears sliding down her cheeks.
Syn Thornheart: Out in the Courtyard, he would look down onto the ground. His black hair waving around shadowing parts of his face. His eyes were closed, his hands were crossed over his chest. He couldn't belive that Drako was dead. He just couldn't. There was nothing in this world that would of threw him off-gaurd than this. Softly he sighed and turned. Those sadend lavander hues opening up, and looking inside the castle where he saw Solace sit. Slowly pushing the doors open to the castle, he walked in. His eyes trying his best not to look towards the body of Drako.
Solace Faryndale: She heard the doors open, but didn't look up. She remained where she was, unmoving, save wrapping her arms around herself. It wasn't fair.
Syn Thornheart: "Nobody would have expected this.." He said softly. He sighed as he leaned on the bar, he didnt want his tea in the morning, which was odd.
Solace Faryndale: Now she looks up hearing Syn's voice, but said nothing. If she spoke, she would break down again. She had so many questions though. Why Drako, was the big one. She wanted details. And now, she wanted revenge.
Syn Thornheart: "Something still doesn't feel right. The lands, are..coverd in something, I just dont know what.." He said, he made a fist. He would shake his head. Moving off the bar, he started to head to the basement, and get his new katana.
Solace Faryndale: She watches him walk down the stairs then looks back into the fire again. She could feel it now too. She'd missed it before. But how? How do you miss something so obvious? She'd been so wrapped up in little Paul as of late that she hadn't been keeping in tune with the rest of the kingdom. And therein lies part of the blame. At least to her.
Syn Thornheart: He looked up in his sword case. He would look over each blade very carfully. Then notice that Neo left him another sword. He tilted his head some. "Merciful..Soul..the secrets within this sword are deep inside your mind and heart."
Nicho TGM: "Death. Death stalks us all." Quietly as he steps into the hall, standing over Drako's body for a moment. He'd felt things happening, trusting to the guards to do their job. This one had done so and much more besides.
Syn Thornheart: He shook his head. "Damnit Neo..now wasnt the greatest time to leave something like this. " He sighed, turning he placed the katana down on the side of his desk. He placed on a white hakama jacket, white hakama pants and some parts of his samurai armor, Like the wasit shash, the shoulder pads, the gauntlets, and the leg bracers. Placing a white cloak around his body, he would sigh, strapping the katana on his side. And his other two katanas, which were the Arc of fire, and Lightling on his back. Slowly, he walked up into the main hall, his hands adjusting the gauntlets.
Nicho TGM: He places a hand on Drako's forehead, laying a blessing on the dead one's soul.
Solace Faryndale: Hearing her husband's voice, her head snaps up and looks over.
Nicho TGM: Feeling her eyes upon him, he nevertheless doesn't turn. He's not ready to face her sorrow yet, still dealing with his own. Somehow he felt that it was his fault, if only....
Solace Faryndale: Lowering her head again, she looks at the floor for a moment, a few more tears dropping before she stares into the flames again, suddenly feeling very alone.
Syn Thornheart: "I'll see you both later." He said, those sandles silent for once, as he made his way towards the castle doors.
Nicho TGM: He sighs, the barest of nods acknowledging Syn, he stands there by the body. Life was full of 'if only's. Surely there was something he should have done but didn't. His heart near to breaking, he turns and walks over to Solace. Not saying a word, his hands gently resting on her shoulders as he stares into the fire.
Solace Faryndale: Without saying a word, the moment she feels his hands on her, she turns to bury her face against him, feeling the sadness welling up inside him as well.
Syn Thornheart: He sighed, he knew something was out there, he didn't know what, he didnt know where. But he wasnt going to stay here and wait to find out what it is.
Nicho TGM: His arms wrap around her, taking or giving comfort, perhaps both. Still no words are spoken, between them, there didn't need to be.
Solace Faryndale: No, there didn't need to be. And that was just fine, the comfort of his arms was more than enough.
Nicho TGM: Patting her shoulder. What was there to say. That he was a good man, they both knew. What was to be done now? He still didn't know.
Solace Faryndale: She pulls back slowly looking up at him and whispers. "Get whatever did this... wipe it out of exsistance." Her voice was soft, but there was anger and vengeance in her eyes.
Nicho TGM: Easy enough to say. He'd faced death many times in his life and did not fear him. Yet how did one go about challenging death incarnate? And if he lost? Or what if he won? Wouldn't he then be required to fill the position?
Solace Faryndale: She felt his uneasiness and grasped his hand, lacing her fingers with his. "If you don't, or can't, I will." Drako was an honorable man. She would see his death avenged. And where it may have sounded foolish, she was serious.
Nicho TGM: Oh, he could tell. But it was not as simple as it sounded, nothing ever was. He sighs heavily. "I'm going to the cave for a while, love." She would know which cave and why without him spelling it out.
Solace Faryndale: She nods and lets go, leaning back into the chair she sat in as she looks up at him. She didn't even have to say I love you, it was in her eyes, replacing the anger that was there a moment ago.
Nicho TGM: And as he leans to kiss her, she will feel the flood of compasion flow through the link, only slightly tinted by anger and grief that he was trying to hold back. He walks out to the garden, to spend the rest of the morning and perhaps the rest of the day in contemplation and communion with the Goddess.
Solace Faryndale: She watches him leave then looks over at Drako for a moment. She hadn't been near him yet. Alone in the hall now, she slowly gets up and moves over to him, taking up one of his cold hands in hers with a soft sniffle. "You promised you'd never leave me again. You promised to protect me. You never even got to see Paul." More tears ran down her face. She didn't realize it now, but in time she would know that the reason he was laying here now was because he was protecting her, her and the entire kingdom.

::Having his soul trapped was more terrible than it sounded. He wasn't going to go down like this. If he were to be dead, then he would at least have his own soul. But the bonds were too hard to break. He took all of his hate, love, compassion and put it into one hard push. He was finally free of the bonds that kept him in death, though he knew that his time was very limited. In minutes death would realize the loss of his power and would tug Drako's soul right back into the dark abyss of death's being. He went right to the castle and saw Solace crying over his body. With his presence, the room got a little warmer, and the fire began to flicker. He spoke, and she could hear him, but Death had already begun to pull him back. He managed a to get off a sentence or two, but she probably wouldn't understand:: "T.....cho.......he.......eady.......ds.....I....n't....eave.....u........ays.........e..........re.......th.......u....te....her.....ma.....me........he.........ppiest........an.....love" ::Yeah...pretty inaudible. A few tears fell, which, when they hit the ground they began to smoke. She knew that he loved her like his own sister, that she would probably be able to understand. If she was listening hard enough, she would get the part right before that which spoke of Raine. Then he would be ripped from the castle and pulled back into the abyss where he would dig into the essence of death and try to free Anduin of his curse. But he'd be back as soon as he could. That's when he'd say his final goodbye, as soon as all of this was over::

Angel would slowly arrive to give her final respects to Drako. A man she didn't know well, but he seemed to be loved by everyone.
Looking towards the body she would slowly move her hand up, pressing it to his cold cheek.
"You fought like a warrior.. but too soon Drako.. you timed it too soon.. You were too young to die.. and I promise you're soul will be returned to you.."
A tear would slowly make it's way down along her cheek. No one knew of what they had seen.. who they had battled.. Would they even understand?
Sighing softly she would lift a small blue rose up. Placing it upon his chest as she held in the rest of her sorrow.. She had to be strong.. Strong for what she would face.. Would she die too?
She didn't know.. she didn't want to know. But she knew.. like Drako, she would die trying to save the Kingdom from the Hell that was coming.
And so she would turn away.. walking out of the room.. Slowly. Claws, scratches and bruises were healing all over her body. Just realizing how sore she was.. how sore he must of been. Shivering at the thought. She paused at the doorway.. She had to think.

As Angel paused in the doorway, the tear-shaped crystal would glow brighter than it ever had. At that moment, Anduin would be standing beside where Drako lay, though he was not strong enough to be seen by most people, most of his spirit still imprisoned within Death's essence.
He would look down at his friend's body, sadness filling him as he laid an ethereal hand on Drako's left shoulder, a look of sorrow in his stone-grey eyes: Drako, my friend...Im sorry for what happened to you. I tried to stop him, but I couldnt.: He would then notice Solace kneeling beside where Drako's body lay, and would walk around and kneel beside her: Solace...if you can hear me...Im sorry....

Drako's voice was faint, but she heard it, and her head snapped up looking around. She could feel him, if only for a brief moment, she could feel him. She understood most of the inaudible sounds that echoed around her. That he didn't leave her... to tell Raine that she made him happy... When his presense was gone, she sunk to her knees again about to go into another sobbing fit when she heard Anduin's voice loud and clear.
Looking up with tear filled eyes, his image was a transparent blur. She could barely see him. "Anduin..." She couldn't get anything out after that. She was so choked up from Drako being gone, and now, there before her, stood the other person that made her feel safe in this kingdom, the other one that protected her with his life several times. The other one she'd missed as well. Hearing his apology she nods, then tries to reach out for him. Even though she knew better, being married to the Ghostmaster and all.

A sad smile would form on Anduin's face when he saw Solace reach out to touch him. He would shake his head slowly, stone-grey eyes focused on her as he spoke: I wish I could take your hand, but Im not strong enough, most of my soul is still trapped in my body: He would lower his gaze from her, his arms crossed his chest, as though he was cold: I wish I could have stopped him Solace, I really do, but he was too powerful....The only reason why Im able to be here now is because Angel...she found the crystal tear which holds the part of my soul that managed to escape....
