She watched him in silent contemplation for a moment, then sighed and retreated back to her own room for another catnap. The children would no where to find her when they wanted her.

::After a few hours he would wake, seeing he was alone and he would sigh, sitting up as he shook his head.:: "Alone. The destiny of darkness..." ::He would rise walking toward the window and just stare outside, those blue eyes turning black:: "Ever since this destiny of being a god..." ::He would growl, turning to walk to the door::

He would hear the low growl echo in his mind. She hated when he was in his mood and he knew it too.
<Why don't you come outside and we can take a long walk somewhere.>

Crystal would then feel something her bond to Ryu allowed her too. She would look in through the window to see Ryu wrapped in dark shadows that enveloped him. ~Crystal... why? Why was I destined for this...~
The shadows would keep seeping into his body and his eyes would begin to fade to black as that trademark grin crossed his face. ~Get me out of here... I am losing control my energy.~
He would begin to walk toward the door.... to the childrens room. Lai would feel her father and awake looking to the door see him enter but she would feel the darkness around her father, and it would surround her too. "Lai... its time for more training hun."

< I wish I had the answer to your question..only you can answer it.> She paced back and forth before the door of the cottage waiting for him to come out and if he didn't come soon she would go in after him.

Raine was perched on one of the wide windowsills and must've blended in nicely with the black tapestry as Ryu didn't spot her. She listened quietly as he talked to himself and when he moved to the children's door, Raine followed.
"I thought we had a little talk about letting me know when you're going on your little training missions." Eyebrow quirked in amusement she cooly slid her arms across her chest and shifted her weight to one foot.
At the time Ryu had walked in, Lai was up to no good and terrorizing poor Avalon with her drumstick again; she stole one from the pair in the nursery. Taking advantage of Lai's diversion of attention, Avalon darted behind Raine and hid behind her knees. Hazen was happily coloring.

Hearing Raine's voice, the darkness faded from him and a calmness resumed as he closed his eyes seeming once again content. Kneeling he would pick up Lai and hake his head. "Lai, don't torment your sister." He couldn't help but grin, in ways she was just like himself. Those now sapphire hues would turn toward Raine as he smiled brightly. "Sorry, I thought you were sleeping and didn't want to disturb you. Figured if we wern't home before you awoke, we would be back shortly after."
Taking some steps toward Raine he would just look at her. The look in those eyes could not be mistaken, but the words would never be said to Raine. In silence he would walk Lai to the livingroom, setting her on the couch and sit beside her. Staring back into the fire, the only warmth he seemed to ever feel anymore.

She realized that Ryu wasn't leaving and let out a tiger-like sigh then flopped down in the soft grass close to the door where she would wait til Ryu made up his mind what he was doing. She lowered her head to her front paws and closed her eyes so that she could listen to her surroundings.

Now that Lai was no longer a threat to her playtime, Avalon happily joined Hazen in his coloring.
Raine stared right back into her eyes, though hers didn't quite show the same thing. When he walked past her, she stood there for a moment, staring ahead of her at the wall. Her emotions were at unease. Every day was a constant reminder of Archelo, and as if that wasn't hard enough the man who'd scorned her ironically lived under her roof and even more ironically, she did not mind.
There was a bottle of wine stashed behind those curtains and Raine had been drinking from it, though nowhere near heavily. It calmed her nerves and she found it hard to get through a day without a few glasses of the stuff.
Sighing softly to herself, she put on a happy face and joined Ryu and Lai by the fire. "Aren't you two going out to play? Or did you change your mind?"
Gracious, Ryu was like a woman, constantly changing his mind and his mood.

(Ryu is not like a woman lol!!! If someone would help him, he would be fine. But until his energy is controlled his personality fluctuates.)
As he walked outside with Lai he would look to Crystal and smile. "Come on Crystal. You can help me train her." He would stand Lai on her feet and smile. "Now Lai... it is time to see where element lies. To see where your power is connected."
He himself would close his eyes and she would see clouds shift covering the sun and the world around them was condemed to darkness. After Ryu had got some sleep the brood genes had taken him to full power. When Raine came out with the kids she would see Ryu with swirling blackness around him, and it would be to dark to notice but his eyes were black as well now.
"Lai... you will one day be reborn in an element and will either replace me or Kavan... either as the God of Revelation.... or my spot. We will see now..."
All the darkness everyone would just kinda have images fall into their mind, Raine, Crystal, the children. Then it the images would lengthen then pull them into a dream. A horrific dream of being trapped in pitch blackness, their bodies just seeming to float in nothingness. Nothing but damp air touching them. They could see Ryu in this dream in moments. His body Lying in the dark, stones and boulders upon his body which was unmoving. Then Lai would be heard screaming, the dreams ending abruptly and everyone would look back to Lai would stare at Ryu, her eyes turning gold as sunlight began to break through the clouds, shoving aside her fathers darkness and the clouds would clear behind her, dark and light seperated evenly the line between them.
As they stood there Lai would begin to change, her body shifting, growing and in a few moments she would be standing there, Raines hight, looking a lot like her mother cept with Ryu's startling sapphire hues. She was now around the age of 16.
"Father..." Her eyes would simply turn back to the gold as the light behind her held. Anyone could feel that as an adult, she was weaker than her father, but not by far. "What has happened?"
"You body has shifted... to be able to hold the energy within you. You'll go back to your normal body in a little but now..." That trademark grin would cross his face. "That you will grow up to be just as beautiful as your mother."
She would shake her head laughing, her laughter like a lovely song floating in the wind. The major diffrence between her and her mother was their was a unexplained happiness in her. She would then whisper to her father. "You still love mother and want her back."
He would shake his head that grin fading. "Well there is one downfall to your aging. You are very intelligent. Yes, I love your mother with everything I am, every fiber of my being but never will I ask her to be mine again."
They would embrace eachother.
