The feeling he got really was like no other. One he couldn't cope with because it was so unfamiliar from everything he had ever felt. "No!" His hand gripped the cross pulling it from his neck upon seeing it glow in reaction to everything he felt going on. He growled as he stood up. He couldn't stand the images in his mind. Too much at one time and possibly causing him to go backwards in the progress he had made to be somewhat of a better man. He dropped the cross and took up his sword with his right hand. He tried staying away, but now it was time he took control of the situation.
With the energies around him and all them out of his control he had to escape, it was devastating to him to feel powerless.. He was best left alone and though his wife thought it would help him it only made things worse. "I am not playing your games." Due to how powerless he started to feel, even if she ceased what she was doing he wasn't going to just stop what he was going to do.
Dull gray eyes turned silver and a crimson aura surrounded the sword which he pointed in the direction of his wife. The shadows around him started to shudder causing the area around him to look distorted. He was drawing energy from the demonic sword and the shadows, he was going to show them all he wasn‘t to be kept down by anyone. He was even willing to resort to dropping his control on the demon if needed just to use its power to get his point across. He felt the only way to stop it all was to take out his wife or kill Ryu. Killing Ryu was the better choice to him but as it stood, he wasn’t going to hold back on anyone who attempted to restrain him. First thing was first.. His wife was the first standing in his way.
An invisible barrier started to form around his body and slowly expand. This barrier would immediately start working against any wards or magicks that were tied to him that others created. The process had a nullifying effect, one force against another canceling each other out, if not that then pushing it away or overpowering it. And depending on how strong the magicks were that worked against him he would find ways to outdo their power. If it was too strong for him he would have to resort to tapping the demon’s power. But for now the dark chaos energy he was using he believed should suffice.
While the barrier was being created he started to focus some of the residual energy floating around him into a small dark purple sphere at the tip of his sword. The sphere was barely noticeable in the darkness but with a good eye or sense of picking up energies in an area, one would notice it. The energy of the small one inch wide sphere portrayed its intent to be destructive and the feeling Ashram was giving off showed he was going to use it. As he had put it, he wasn't going to play anyone's games.. even if it is to protect him.

Was he crazy!? She felt the power thrust towards her, her body doubling over and her stumbling back. The ward tightened around her, it canceling with his, but the magic felt like it was goign to choke the life from her. Was this what it had to come down to? She would lose the battle against him if it came to either one of them falling to their deaths.
As the cross hit the ground, it began to rain; the darkness trying to be purified by the tears of the gods. As the counter between the alignments battled, she felt as if her flesh was being pulled from her body, forcing a scream to ring the air. She sure seemed to be sacraficing herself...and for what? Friends, love... to bring her husband back to her....
Her memories flashed before her eyes, her past recycling following with a blackened end. No she wouldn't give up that easily. The god's forced her face to tilt up, her eyes forced shut as they used her exsistance as their weapon.
As her body became possessed, the outer image changed slightly. No longer stood the black haired beauty, but one of a whiter form. A silloette of her stood on those fields , and the ward became visible. It shot upwards like a shield of a spider's web. Could she take on an ultimate evil by herself? The answer would follow shortly.

He stared at the dragon who now stood in his way. He had no intentions of killing his wife.. just needed her out of the way. All he wanted was Ryu and he got what appeared to be more than he could handle. He didn't move and remained where he was. Pulling the energy back toward him he compressed the invisible barrier around his form. He braced himself for what might come his way.
Eyes shifted momentarily to the small sphere of energy at the tip of his sword, he saw that he needed to get rid of it and soon. The longer he held onto it the more unstable and destructive the energy became. Doing the best thing at the time he simply dispersed the energy, particles going all directions. The energy would cause lightening to strike all around him for and through the area because of how much it disrupted the balance of nature.
Just as the lightening eventually ceased to be, his drive to kill Ryu had also. The situation was much more than he could handle. He would have to set free the demon to continue this. The problem was that if he did the duration of the battle would last too long allowing the demon to reach a level of power Ash couldn't ever put back under his. The silver in his eyes vanished and once more the dull grays looked at the beast.
He kept the barrier to keep any magicks from effecting him. He really didn't know what to do. He loved his wife and on the opposite side of the spectrum he hated Ryu just as much. This night wasn't the night he would kill Ryu. The odds were too great.
He turned and scooped up the cross in his hand. He couldn't just leave it despite the bad feelings he got from it. He started walking towards the sea not knowing where to go or what to do. Again he was lost and the path no longer clear. He was going somewhere but didn't know where or how long he would remain away or even if he would be alone again. Too many uncertainites made life all the more meaningless.

As the darkness gave up, everything retracted back towards her, the gods leaving the mortal form of Destiny to hit the ground. Exhaustion had hit her hard, her hands shaking even as if she touched the ground. Her world was shaking, her mind dazed by the power that was charged through her. Her breathing was heavier then normal, and her head felt heavy, but life still clung to her lungs.
It was Ashram that had saved her life in all truth. If he wouldn't had pulled back she knew the gods would had fought him using her for their cause. Now that everything had settled her ears picked up the sound of the chain and the cross being lifted, it making her to look up the ebony locks parting slightly allowing the gems of jade to reflct Ashram's retreating form. "Ashram..." She called out his name, her lifting her hand towards him. Ryu was now safe, and this giant dragon stood before her, but still her attention was targeted on Ashram.
Fingers curled, her wrist coming down to touch the wet grass, her watching his back in wonder. Would he leave her here? No, she wouldn't allow it. With a groan she attempted to push herself up, her body aching from being an object of magiks. Unsteady on her feet she stood tall, her inhaling the cool breeze around her. "Ashram..." His name was called by her again, her taking a step towards the dragon and him.

As the dragon came to lift Destiny, a pair of beady red eyes came from nowhere till another and smaller guardian dragon appeared, flickered and faded from view of them all. His whole point of appearing was unknown, but he was there for a reason, and it wasn't to help the paladin he had protected thus far. The dragon would not be seen to anyone till it appears standing on the parphet of the casttle, it staring mockingly up at Ryu, its tongue flicking out while a voice echoed in his mind. "Two will be the end of one...." Its eyes blinked a faint image burning into them, but once Lina came towards Ryu again, Seragato poofed from exsistance, leaving only the words and the image of three people behind for him to dwell on.
~*~*~*~^~*~*~*~
Destiny fell back into Lina's wing, her hair brushing against her cheek. Warmth and protection cradled her form the movements of the large beast never once disturbing her pains and aches. Closing her eyes for the short ride, her full lips came to lip the words 'thank you'. Even with no voice to be heard, she knew Lina would hear her in a way not known yet to man.
When they neared Ashram she felt his presences, it felt...natural. She didn't resist sliding from the wings of the dragon onto her feet before him. She felt her knees buckle, but she reached out taking a hold of his arm to stop herself, her giving him a gentle smile before she seemed to toss herself into his embrace, weither he offered it or not. "Don't leave anymore. Don't. I love you. I truthfully do, please don't!" She pleaded to him, why? for her own inward reasons, but even if he tried she didn't let go of him.

Ash had stopped, he had no where to go and was in no hurry. For as long as Ryu was at the castle Ash needed to be away before something bad really did happen. For now he would let Ryu be but by all means it wasn't over. He heards Lina's words but there was no way she could help him and he only paused to look back at her before looking ahead once more. He remained in place, eventually his wife would be dropped off by him. He wasn't leaving for good, he just needed to get away from the castle.
He took her into his embrace when she collasped, there would never be a time he would refuse it to her. "I know and I love you. But for me to remain here will only cause more problems." He held her tightly and it was now that he realized what he almost did to her and the guilt was nearly unbareable. The sad thing was that he would probably do it again in an attempt to kill Ryu. He placed a kiss on her forehead. "I'm sorry.." He whispered quitely before taking her up in his arms, his sword being swept away by the shadows.
Once more he started away from the castle. The shadows around him shifting slightly as he moved. He wasn't sure where he wanted to go, but being the wanderer he was, he would end up some place. He did know he wanted to avoid the Shadow Realms and the castle for a while.

Sapphire hues watched as the two ladies tried to give him unneeded protection. His body shiver with anger and humiliation as he stare coldly at Ashram, even undead, he could still be a match for Ashram. Ezrebrum began to glow, the dull metallic hilt beginning to brighten as the blade glowed brightly at his hip, the winds blowing his long black hair about him with the black cloak, the stitched silver dragon seeming to be flying in the night on the cloaks back.
As Ashram began he retreat, Ryu sneered. He wanted to kill Ashram as much as he wanted to kill Ryu. Stepping to where Lina had leaped off he couldnt help but try to remember where his hate for Ashram came from and memories of Ashram always mocking his ideals, ways and life came flooding to him, but it all seemed to childish now. All of this hatred, all of the bull crap only because they had finally insulted eachother into a heated rage. Shaking his head he turned and began laughing as he sheathed Ezrebrum.
~Ashram, when you wish to come kill me... I will accept your challenge gladly. But I have no quarrel with you any longer, this all seems so childish now. But if you wish to take my head, I will always give you the chance in combat. Besides, people we love are getting hurt for our own immoralistic hatred. I'm no threat to you undead... when I return to myself, then we can battle if you still wish too.~
With that he began to to the other side of the roof when the small dragon appeared, the words "Two will be the end of one...." Going through his head and he would simply smile.
"Aye, Desi and Ashram will be my end... and I accept it."
He would look down, saddness etched upon his face as he looked to where Lina was returning. He loved her, but she had died due to his blood. In the end, he had killed his own wife and all he could do to keep unshed tears from being seem in his sapphire hues was to pull up his cloaks hood hiding his face.
"Lina....."

::Standing on a hill a short distance from the castle, A figure garbed in a royal blue cloak would gaze upon the landscape of Goldenmyst with his now silver eyesand he would think to himself :: I have been away far too long but I don't think I am ready to return to these lands:: ignoring his thoughts he would slowly walk down the the hill across the fields and make his way towards the forest hoping noone notices his final return to his home.

Arms held onto Ashram even as he lifted her and continued onwards. Her head rested against his armor, her eyes set out at the slow moving surroundings. "Don't be sorry. I'm okay." SHe smiled faintly up at him, her giving a soft moan as she tightened her hold on him.
As the sword disappeared from his side for the moment, she felt its darkened state fade, her feeling more content now. "Why do you hate him so much?" A question she had always wondered. "He isn't bad, Ashram. I swear it." As she spoke to him her voice danced on the air that lingered between them, it gentle to the ears with its harmonic sound. "Lets end this silly feud, mi amor." She knew he would never agree to that that, but the words had slipped past full lips when they should had stayed in thoughts only.
~*~*~*~^~*~*~*~
Seragato seemed more like a troublemaker then a guardian at the moment, him coming to appear on Ryu's shoulder while Lina and him shared their feelings. His words hissed from his mind as if his mouth spoke them itself, but the deepness was sinister. ~Funny how things work out, aren't they Ryu....~ The transparent dragon stood on Ryu's shoulder him walking from one side to the other, his tail curling around the back of Ryu's neck. ~You know why you wish to kill him. Stop trying to fight your inner self.~ What was he up to? It seemed like the dragon was trying to get Ashram and Ryu to battle; but for what reasons? He worked for the gods... but that was the answer itself. Darkness fighting Darkness, allow it to destroy itself...

His nose wrinkled at the assult from Lina's flicking him drawing back, the hood-like skin flaring out in a warning, or so it would seem. It wasn't till Lina's hand lowered from him that his tail snapped out across the back of her hand. ~You sure like to get in the way....~ The creatures voice echoed in her head, his dark eyes reflecting images of how she died the first time.
The gods used him as their messenger, as there eyes and right now Lina was in there way of getting rid of not one but two dark sources on the mortal plain. The plan was to have them cancel eachother out, but two women stood in their way. One being their own knight but she was easy to handle or so they thought, sacrifice the paladin if they must to succeed their goal... but Lina... she was a different story she was a spirit of the dead, not easily gotten rid of but no impossible.
Seragato's tongue flickered out, him cat walking over Ryu's shoulders, his words singing to the dark side of him. ~You could take him out....You know you have more power then him, even as the Undead.~
