The New Caves

::Deep under the ocean, the Sahuagin swarm towards the underground birthing pool. The lizard queen is furious at finding their young slaughtered, some mortally wounded and pushed back in the water to die. A descration! Who ever did this will pay! ::

::The queen summons warriors, hundreds of the web footed warriors gather and start heading towards the surface. The priestesses gather in the birthing pool, re-sanctifying the place for the young.::

::The queen is at least soothed by the fact that the eggs had not been touched, only about twenty young had been lost::

::The lone wizard of the Sahaugin stops and studies the rune upon the wall. Some sort of portal, it seemed to be::

::The Sahaugin can move about on land, not as well as they move in the water, but well enough. The warriors split as the corridor's branch, some remaining behind to remove the rubble from a cave in::

::The lizard men warriors seek a way to the surface, for only surface dwellers hated their kind enough to attack their breeding grounds. Upon reaching the mud where the remains of the giant leeches rot, the warriors stop to confer, one being sent back to inform the priestesses that the creatures were dead, they would have to look to the sea for food to feed the young. Or perhaps they would find things on the surface to eat.::

::Several scouting parties had exited the caves, the main bulk of the Sahaugin remaining inside until word returns of the land outside, when Nicho and a group of bold adventurers killed one scouting party and sealed the caves with another mudslide much like the one that had opened the caves in the first place. Debate ensues among the lizard folk. Should they try to break out of the caves and avenge the deaths of their young or should they consider themselves fortunate that the opening was sealed? At least this way the breeding grounds would be safe again. Several groups of the warriors investigate the other passages. Perhaps there is another way to the surface.::
