The sun was coming from the wrong direction. This concept was slow to be realized as the rider pulled her blankets over her head, only to realize it was a thin sheet. Even the summers were too cool in Harwind for sheets. Especially at night! Her eyes fluttered and gradually she pulled the sheet down, green eyes looking around the room. The first impression was that it was messy. She still had boxes in corners and on chairs. Nothing was in order. She liked the room though, giving a small smile as she sat up and stretched.
Then she felt Eirik's affectionate touch to her mind, remembering the dragon sending her inside when it had started to rain. Her too long curls were still damp and she grimaced when she saw the mud she had sleepily tracked into the room. She smelled of dirt, grass and dragon musk. Not so bad, really, but she'd have to remedy that. As she prepared for the bathing rooms, though, she stopped and looked at her reflection in the mirror. Eighteen. She turned to the side and then circled around, still too thin but she thought she was putting on some weight finally. Maybe a little? Her strawberry blonde curls may have grown a little darker in the past year. Maybe.
She shrugged, grabbing a towel and robes and scampered out of the room. Humming. The sun, meanwhile, continued to rise and to brighten the cozy little disorganized room. She glanced back at it thoughtfully and smiled brighter, thinking it felt right to start the day like this.
