DestinedHealer: ::Standing outside the castle the Nimir-ra looked up to Kyo giving his hand a squeeze. In her arms was a wreathe of flowers for her niece. She had heard that the young girl lay in wake, pushing beyond her own grief she again went to those lands. Looking up she seemed to draw strength from her husband.::
XGelinaGreyX: ::in the throne room, lit by candles and a few torches, laid the bodies of Sil and Lina. one on each altar, each covered with a shroud. it was quiet save the crackling of the flames in the torches. Lina, her body thin and weak looking, nothing like when she was alive and vibrant. her hair, white as white could be, fanned out beneath her, her skin looking like worn and weathered leather::
DestinedKaiser: ::He looked down a his Nimir-ra, his gaze held by her own for several long moments until he looked to the castle, giving her hand a squeeze in return, he had hoped to stay away from this place..but fate was too cruel::
DestinedHealer: :::Moving inside she listened to the quiet. It was eerie. Their steps echoed through the throne room. Why was the castle so quiet? Where was everyone? In the dim light she saw not one but two shrouded figures. Moving to the smaller one she looked down on her niece, gently laying the roses atop her body. Tears slid down her face silently. Not for Sil, but for her mother, and her love. She stayed for several moments then leaned down and kissed the cold forehead of the young drow. Curiosity took her over and she moved to the other body. Pulling back the shroud she stared at the withered form. There was something familiar about her.:: Kyo...::Her voice quietly echoing in the otherwise empty room:: Do you know her?
XGelinaGreyX: ::further down under the shroud, her sword, Vengeance lay in her hands on her body::
DestinedKaiser: ::He stared down at his niece, his eyes closing as he took a breath, whispering softly:: I'm sorry my blade couldn't protect you...::taking breath he opened his eyes and kissed her forehead, looking to Maggie he eyed the second figure, his face going a bit pale as he whispered:: Lina... ::The sword was one tip..but he knew a fellow dragon anywhere::
DestinedHealer: :Blinking:: No, she is so old...its not possible. ::She tore back the shroud, and looked at the sword, then to Kyo:: What happened? Why is she laying here alone? ::Where, she wondered were the mourners...why had no one told her? Questions fired through her mind in rapid succession. :::
DestinedKaiser: ::he shakes his head slowly::I'm sorry Maggie..but a Dragon's Aura does not lie...::stepping closer::I don't know what happened...
DestinedHealer: ::She touched the wrinkled cheeks, the frail hands, brow furrowed. Slow fury spread through her. As she touched her she realized something worse, there was too much of "lina" still there with the body. It was as if she had not been able to move on. Having no idea how long the kingdom would be empty she looked at Kyo:: We have to do something....she is still here. ::The thought of all that fire trapped between worlds, tied to that frail useless body was overwhelming. She imagined an infuriated Lina pounding on the walls in a fit of claustrophobia.::
XGelinaGreyX: ::appearing in spirit on the other side of the room, she watches Maggie and Kyo. she swallows hard knowing that Maggie was confused and hurt. and not a damn thing she could do about it. having been trapped here for four days was indeed infuriating. she wanted out. out of this place, this in-between. seeing all those that hurt because of her was more than she could bare. and watching her own body just simply lay there as no one bothered to care just angered her even more::
DestinedKaiser: ::he shakes his head:: I know Maggie..I know..we’ll do something...::thinking to himself, trying to think of where he could take her::
DestinedHealer: ::Sure she and Lina had disagreed, but they always worked it out. There was bound to be a certain amount of trouble when two irish redheads clashed:: How can they do this to you? Just leave you here? :::Maggie’s pupils elongated in her anger::
XGelinaGreyX: I wish I had an answer for you Mags. ::though she knew she couldn't hear her::
CaelumLupus: :: Outside the castle a rider approached at a gallop upon a mighty black steed, strangely no dust nor sound was made. The rider was cloaked in black a large hood covering all features. Just outside the gates they waited in silence::
DestinedHealer: :::She looked around the room:: I know you are here.
DestinedKaiser: ::He takes a deep breath then thinks harder, smiling just a bit as he felt her, even though he couldn't see her::Lina..through the good and the bad..you were always a hero here..a hero's burial is the least I can do for you...
XGelinaGreyX: Aye...I am here... ::she walks over and stands next to her looking down at herself. pitiful. she knew she was more beautiful than that. she looks at Maggie again seeing the pain that ran rampid through her body. she then smiles at Kyo. man they had it out a time or two, but he was always there when she needed him. canting her head as she watches him she remembered that they never did have that dragon beauty pageant::
DestinedHealer: ::Closing her eyes the genes glowed about her neck, her engagement ring glowing as well, shivering she looked toward where the spirit stood, then to Kyo.:: What can we do? ::She fretted at being left to decide this. Looking at the body she sighed. It didn't look much like Lina at all. Didn't do her justice for sure::
