Chimera Adventure

[King Nicho Klojhen]

(I have edited out the rolls and scores simply to make it flow more like a story, if anyone wishes a log, ask Lina for it.)

(Chimera - black, Gelina - maroon, Nicho - navy, Summer - red.)

::seems to slip out of a tree beside Lina, speaking softly:: Easy aunt... there is a chimera ahead...
::hearing him she stops::
I don't know how I didn't sense it earlier.
<w> What is it?
::Summer yells out to Lina and Nicho. if there was a sleeping Chimera, it would prolly have woken up from it:: LINA!!!! NICHO!!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!?!
Hearing the yells from the fields, the Chimera heads towards her.
::mind link:: ~Summer...shut up~
::doesn't know how to do it back so, she just spoke:: ummm... ok!
From their position in the trees, they can see the flames of it's breath as it advances upon the princess.
::feeling a slight rumble beneath her feet she looks up seeing the beast:: ohhhhh nuts. ::she screamed and ran farther into forest to try and escape it::
Nicho... ::draws her sword::
::exchanges a look with Lina and then rushes towards the beast, drawing his blades as he runs::
::follows right behind him::
::Summer ducks behind a tree and pokes her head out the side of it to see if the coast was clear::
The Chimera charges at Summer, the ground shaking in the fury of the charge.
Summer! Come back this way!
Nicho and Lina break out of the woods before the beast.
::her heart pounding, Summer got up and began to run toward Lina's voice. as she neared then, she tripped on a log and hit the ground:: UGH!
::she jumped out landing in front of it and swung her sword at the beast::
::The boy streaks across the intervening space, his blades twirling as he strikes one of the three heads::
::useing her powers of earth magic, she called to the tree spirits, branches and vines crawling out and entangling the chimera before slowly constricting::
The Chimera strikes at Gelina, since she had hurt it the most and was standing before it.
::His blades strike fiercely at the head resembling a roc, the other heads being catlike and dragonlike::
::her nerves were shot. there was no way she could use magic now. she slowly came to her feet picking up a fallen branch and smacked the Chimera across the faces with it::
::growls and slashes at it's lion head::
All three heads will breath flame at them, Roc at Nicho, Lion at Lina and the dragon head snaking around to flame on Summer.
::Summer flipped out of the way of the flame attack and threw an ice bolt right back at the dragon head:: color]
::He will strike again at the Roc head, both blades biting into the beast as if possessed::

::spins and her sword comes down at that lion head again::
Enraged, the beast will rear and claw at Gelina, trying to grind her underfoot.

::seeing Lina go down, he roars like a bear cub and stabs Earthbinder deep into the heart of the Chimera, hitting Lina instead.
::groans::
::Summer picked up some snow off the ground and threw it at the dragon head. the snow forming sharp icicles in the air which would pierce that dragons skin::
::from down in the snow she was hurting but not dead, she formed a fireball and whipped it up at the lion head::
Now the Chimera whirls on Summer, all three heads letting out a blast of flame at her, mostly just melting the ice.
::He feels frustrated that his swords are not doing so well tonight, instead calling up a bolt of lightning and bringing it down onto the beast::
::She giggled at its whimpy attack and took out her chain whip she had rolled up in her coat pocket. she uncoiled it and cracked its sharp barb on the dragon head::
::wiggling her way out she reaches for her dropped sword and hacks up at the lion head again::
Finding Summer vexing, the Chimera concentrates on her now, rearing to claw at the princess with barbed talons.
::she fell to her knees with a shriek as the claws ripped through her upper thigh::
::Glad at least that the Chimera seems to be having as much trouble in the snow covered woods as they, he continues sending lightnings hurling into it's body::
::she struggled to her feet and ran up the side of a tree flipping back and landing right behind the dragon head. she wrapped the chain whip around its neck and began to choke it::
::finally gets up and lunges at the lion head slicing at it's throat::
The lion head hangs uselessly as the roc head focuses on Gelina and lets out a blast of flames, the dragon head twists around to bite Summer, the claws raking Nicho.
::Falls back from the beast, once again calling forth energies and sending lightning hurling into the beast::
::its teeth sink into her side, Summer screaming out in pain. she grabbed the branch off the ground again and stabbed it down into the dragon's eye::
The heavily armored lids simply blink, deflecting the blow.
::growls moving to help Summer and swings her blade at the dragon head::
The roc head getting a free bite as Lina goes for the dragon head, the dragon head chomps at Summer again. The tail flips around and bashes Nicho.
::lithly running up the tail to it's back, behind Summer, stabbing his blades into the thick hide::

::Summer falls to her side as blood pours out of her body. She glares up at the dragon and sends a frozen orb down into its throat, while there, large ice spikes shot out of it everywhich way to tear up the head::
::finishes off the dragon head by simply hacking it off::
With a roar of frustration, the Chimera stomps on Lina.
::Since the lightnings seem to be working, the boy now sends lightning through Earthbinder into the heart of the beast::
::Summer growls cracking her chain whip on the Roc head::
::plunges her sword into the beast's chest, then blinks seeing the head regenerate:: Oh crap...
The rock head grabs and yanks Summer's chain, pulling her from it's back. The tail flails around as the creature turns to dislodge the boy and stikes Lina.
::Hanging onto the blade embeded in the creature's back, he manages to stay on it's back as he sends another blast of lightning through the sword::
::Summer stomps down ramming her 4 inch heel into the Chimeras spine::
::pulls her dagger from her boot and whips it into it's body::
The roc bites at Summer, the lion head flames Lina and the dragon head twists around to bite at Nicho.
::Ducking low to avoid the dragon head, he once again sends a bolt through the enchanted blade::
::Summer re-slams her heel into its spine with a shriek as the roc turns to bite her::
::hacks at the new lion head as the body begins to die::
The roc bites at Summer again, the lion head roars and bites Lina. The dragon head takes a last bite of Nicho as the beast begins to fall over, dead. The heads twitch slightly and then lay still.
