Rob87DM: ::the creature would glance over the order, trying to recall if he
had ever done anything like this before::
John Belet: ::he watched the creature with the most anticipatation and
hoping that the creature would make this weapon::
Rob87DM: Well...alchemically treated leather shouldn't be too hard to get a
hold of...but a "vampire soul"? ::he glanced up with a look of skepticim on
his furry brow::
Rob87DM: I don't keep stuff like that lieng around anymore. ::laughs
slightly::
John Belet: ::he smiles and nods:: Well I already have the vampire soul
ready. I have held onto it for quite some time now.
Rob87DM: Oh! In that case, certainly. ::with a grin, he steps around the man
and begins going over the procedure in his head::
John Belet: ::he nods as he goes over to his horse and digs into his bags
and pulls out an orb which held a vampire soul in it and carried it slowly
and carefully over to a table and sets it down::
Rob87DM: ::his small form busied itself with some containers:: Do you have
the whip? Or should I make it from scratch?
John Belet: Well I would think he would like it made from scratch.
Rob87DM: I must warn you that a whip I make from scratch would be...very
poor quality...actually. ::it would be impromptu craftsmenship, since he had
no clue how to make whips::
Rob87DM: I'll try, though. ::he gathered up the strands of leather that
would become the whip, and began to line them up while his prehensile tail
stirred a pot behind him::
John Belet: Make sure it is made with Alchemy.
Rob87DM: ::he makes the initial knots, then begins loosely weaving the big
clumsy strands into a tube shape; all the while his tail never stops
stirring:: Don't pester me, I'm concentrating.
Rob87DM: ::without looking to the man, he reaches for the orb:: Here, give
me the thing.
John Belet: ::he nods as he takes the orb containing the vampire soul and
hands it to him::
Rob87DM: Hm. ::he plunks it into the steaming cauldron, his tail still
stirring with a heavy ladel::
John Belet: ::he watches closely as the cauldron is being stirred::
Rob87DM: ::with a soft but sharp yell, he splays his glove-bound digits over
the cauldron and shatters the orb, releasing the spirit from one form of
bondage into another, this time in the churning, bubbling brew that smelled
foul::
Rob87DM: ::the liquid began to glow from within; quickly he removes the
ladal and lets it sit while he checks the weave of the partially finished
whip::
John Belet: ::he continues to watch::
Rob87DM: Ah...now...here comes the tricky part, you gotta help me with
this...
John Belet: ::he nods:: WHat do I need to do?
Rob87DM: ::he lifts up the delicate, very unimpressive looking leather rope
and wiggles one end towards the man:: Grab this and pull.
John Belet: ::he takes the end and pulls it tightly::
Rob87DM: ::he pulls on his end as well, then, when he was sure it was
taught, he swiftly but carefully lowers his end into the bubbling, glowing
brew::
Rob87DM: ::he continues pulling more and more, gesturing for tiny bits of
slack from the man every few seconds::
John Belet: ::he gives him a little bit of slack whenever the creature
needed it::
Rob87DM: ::with a final grin and a perking of his large ears, he steps back
and lets the last of the stretched rope slide in::
Rob87DM: Just...one more...let's see if I...remember it... ::he mutters a
spell incantation under his breath, messing up twice but succeeding the third
time as the liquid bubbles more fiercely:: There, now we wait an hour.
John Belet: ::he smiles a bit as he had never created a weapon much less
seen one made or even helped make one::
Rob87DM: Do you play chess? ::he grins, pulling a board from the shelf::
John Belet: ::he nods:: Yes that I do.
Rob87DM: ::after about an hour of playing, the creature has lost
pathetically several times:: Oh...I'm not as good as I thought...
John Belet: ::he would smile:: More practice my friend, More practice.
Rob87DM: Hopefully I'm better at whipmaking, though. ::he shrugs, but deep
down he knows that the alchemical reaction was extremely potent and the
craftsmanship was unconventional but sturdy::
John Belet: ::he nods:: I am sure you will do fine.
Rob87DM: ::he takes an iron poker and lifts the lid, allowing a huge cloud
of steam to billow out and race towards the cieling::
Rob87DM: Hmm...::he glances at the iron poker, then puts it down and grabs a
pair of large metal tongs::
Rob87DM: ::he fishes around for a bit, then withdraws a thin, stringy mass
that was dark red with swirls of black; quickly he tosses it to the table::
I've got to finish before it cools...
John Belet: ::he watches more closely now::
Rob87DM: ::he puts the lid back onto the brew, which, oddly enough, is no
longer glowing::
John Belet: ::he nods slowly to his words::
Rob87DM: ::with quick digits he works in the final weaves, drawing the
tight, slick strands closer and closer until it is a single crimson fiber::
Rob87DM: ::stepping back and sighing, he works the cramps from his digits
and watches the steam rise from the whip:: There you go...
John Belet: ::he smiels as his light green eyes focus on the masterpiece::
Rob87DM: There, you take it..I'm tried of touching it, that thing's viscious... ::working closely with the thing was dangerous, since it possessed the malevolent essance of the undead::
had ever done anything like this before::
