Rain. Clouds above never seemed to fail when it came to the moments when these weapon's were being plucked from there dark confines, the sheaths hanging at my sides, Kyl'Vesen at my left, Ezrebrum at my right. My feet steadily navigated me through the dirt path which was now making crude squishing noises underneath the soles of my boots as it now was turning to mud. My white cloak was staying clean but it was heavy almost to the point of burdening with it soaked by the rain.
Finally I stood upon a well carved black onyx landing, about 10 feet by 10 feet. A fine carving of a Raven carrying a longsword in its beak was on the onyx and scribed were the words in Brood that translated to, 'Evil has been contained, evil can find its release.' At the south end of the landing was a stairway, a stairway which was crafted from simple stone, erie darkness and cobwebs littering every nook and cranny.
Without second thought, I strided down the stairs, Kyl'Vesen hacking awya the spiderwebs. I lost view in when all light faded. I estimate that this staircase took me two hours to climb down until I could see light, the light shifting and flickering making it no doubt in my head that it was torchlight. Finally I stood in a large hall. All onyx, the torchlight making the whole room look like liquid blackness. I looked straight ahead, past eight sets of columns to the pedestal that housed nothing. Behind that was a throne, crafted of silber with crushed black velvet seat.
Alright, I am here now but where is the weapon that Hephestus spoke of that will help me destroy Chronos. A simple thought in my raveged mind as I walked toward the throne and then he stepped out in front of me.
"Chronos..." Hatred, rage, and incoherent fury imbued with my desperate need for vengeance. "Oh what gratification I will find in taking your head and piking it by my dear sister's grave." With that I flew fourth, Ezrebrum and Kyl'Vesen tearing through the air with all my malice. Kyl"vesen erupts in flames like normal, causing the odd smell of burning dust in the air. My blades met both of Chonos's but without warning he caught Kyl'Vesen between both of his blades and snapped them shut, shattering my Sword of Flames.
When a weapon endowed with such magic, is broken, it releases all that power, resulting in an explosion. My arm had been blown off. Both his blades had flew from his hands and Ezrebrum had flung somewhere behind columns in the darkness. Rising, Chorno and I just stood there looking at eachother, him between two columns on one side and me between two others on the other side paralell to him and both of us equal distance from the pedestal when a black hilt seemed to rise from it. Both of us had that one moment of hesitation and before we raced to it. Both of our hands grasped the onyx hilt at the same time and we both found ourselves in darkness. Looking I could see myself, I could see Chrono in the distance but everything was blackness. Then another chronos appeared behind him and with that it hit me. If he had one of himself behind him, I turned just in time to see a sword skim before my face, a little nick at the tip of my nose.
I had never had to face myself. But there I was, but that face, void of emotion. He was not me mentally, maybe physically and in fighting styles, but he didn't fight with emotion. our battle began. I rabbed his arm as he swung, and kneed up into his elbow shattering it. Needed to make the fight fare, I was down one arm, just evening the odds.
We fought, I kept having the upper hand. Usung my desprate want to return to that sword, wanting to take Chrono's head once again. Finally I found my openning. With everything I had I slammed my head into his throat then with that shock dealt to him rotated around him elbowing his spinal cord right at the base of the neck. Dead. I returned back to that blade. Chronos had his eyes closed. He was still fighting. I took his hand from the hilt and waited.
As soon as his eyes oppened I saw the horror as he just looked at me. "Goodbye." And the blade took Chrono's head. But as the life faded from him, I heard the voice in my head. Coldness began to radiate from the sword throught my body. I could feel the emotion's fading from my mind except for the one's that had burning the hottest since I got in this forbidden chamber. Rage, anger, fury, desparation, hatred. I was dying but I could not drop the sword.
Finally I was there, trapped in my own mind, clawing out in absolute terror.
