Well, I did say some time ago that I would post a story or something like it to try and explain what's been going on with Vee while my AOL has been hating on me. Anyways, I got bored and decided to start on it. Here's what I have so far...
1.
Darkness... I was blind. Well, I figured I was anyway,
either that or I was in a place without a single source of
light. Though, I doubted that, since I could hear what
sounded to me like the crashing of waves which made me
think that I was at a beach of some sorts. Slowly I sat up,
wanting to make sure that I wouldn't end up banging my
head on something, before raising my hands to my face. A
blindfold. Somebody had put a blindfold on my face, or had
I done it? I couldn't remember. I reached back to untie it
but was stopped abruptly.
"Don't."
That startled me, I hadnt heard anyone coming, nor had I
sensed them; something those with the blood of dragons
could usually do, I listened carefully for a few moments
before responding.
"Who... Who's there?"
"A friend..." The voice replied, but gave no more
information.
"I'll need a little more than that..."
"In time.. In time.. But for now, I reccomend you keep the
blindfold on."
"Why?" Nothing, the voice was gone. I went to feel the
bandana again, and noticed something else. My scar, the
one my father gave me when he was posessed, had faded
somewhat, I could feel it just about, but it wasn't as deep
anymore. I figured it would never heal, but somehow it
had in a very short time. "I wonder if anything else has
changed..." I felt around, but didn't notice anything, aside
from the fact my clothes were shredded, barely enough to
make into a pair of socks.
What seemed like half the day passed, and I stayed
where I was, not wanting to risk walking off of a cliff or
into a tree. The voice returned;
"Veedo, do you wish to return home, to your..
GoldenMyst?" How did he know my name? I never thought
to ask, I just answered.
"Yes...?"
"You do not seem very certain." I guess I didn't, last time I
was there, everyone I had known and held dear were
gone.. Maybe that was why I left, to find them?
"I.. Do wish to return." There was a pause before the
voice spoke again.
"You will have to do a few things before we can allow it,
but in time you can... But it's unlikely that you'll see the
woman you love again."
"... Alee? .. Do you know where she is?" My heart sank,
what had happened to her? She had distanced herself
from me when my father left. It was as though everyone
had a plan to leave me all at once or something.
"Mayhaps. But that is for another day. We are here now to
prepare you."
"For what?" I slowly stood, making sure not to bump into
anything.
"You'll see. We cannot give you all the information yet, but
you'll understand all in time. Right now we are here to test
your reflexes, which is one of the reasons you have that
blindfold on."
"One of... What are the other reasons?"
"If you were to remove the blindfold at the time being, you
would be perminantly blinded, as this place is very bright,
it isn't always, so on occasion you will be able to remove
it."
"Okay... That makes sense, I guess." I shrugged and
rubbed the back of my neck and waited for the voice to
continue.
"Your first task will begin soon... Until then, prepare
yourself..."
More... Whenever. >> Feedback is appreciated, if you feel like it anyways.... Neh.
