[This is a new adventure based SL that I have undertaken...As usual I try to make it story driven, and rely on everyone's support through RP to make it enjoyable for all. Feel free to rp here, as I will be keeping a chronological summary of the events that occur.]
Part One - The Fair Grounds & The Arrival
Seemingly out of nowhere a fair had popped up on the GoldenMyst fields. It gathered interest from all sorts, from the odd variety of food, to the even odder variety of games. Roasted rats, eel kabobs, and knife throwing at strange fur-less winged creatures were just some of what the fair had to offer. Even more odd was the attire of all the vendors. They all wore long dark robes, their skin pale and ghostly. Their eyes were sunken in, and some of them bore ancient marking tattoos.
As everyone explored the fair, is was Damali who noticed something ominous. She sensed dark magic coming from the fortune teller. Telling her commander Sate, he gathered up those who he recognized from the castle. Warning them of the darkness, they went in. At first, some took the fortune teller to be an old cook. But as she spoke of people's pasts, things they had never told anyone before...they quickly realized they should listen.
The fortune teller gave a warning. That darkness was looming over Goldenmyst, a darkness created by one of their own. And then, as she sprinkled the last bit of powder across the fire, the adventures found themselves intangible in a new world. It was built of broken rock and fire, massive flaming ifrit and other fire creatures force to toil in mighty forges of a great black fortress. Unable to interact they could only watch as a winged creature rested before them, chained to the ground.
The creature was mutilated, and its head wrapped in a barbed cage so they could not see its face. A voice rang out from a nearby fortress, and although the creature tried to fly away it could not. Instead it followed the voice, and the adventurers followed the creature. As they walked forward, they entered the fortress only to see a massive demon sitting upon a throne. It became apparent now that the winged creature was a servant to this demon, its chains preventing it from flying away. And as the demon spoke of a great war, the adventurers realized that they had suddenly become tangible.
As they were noticed, the demon accused the winged creature of bringing friends...though it had not said a single word. Using dark powers, the massive demon threw the creature against the wall. Then, he summoned five of those wolven Ifrit to fight for him. The Ifrit were powerful, fighting fiercely. Their fire burned, and upon death they exploded dealing massive damage to almost everyone.
It looked like hope would be lost as several adventurers were badly wounded. Marie and Anduin were knocked unconscious on the verge of death...and if not for Silma's powerful healing, there would surely be casualties. But she drew upon her powers to heal everyone to full health, and they were able to overcome the demons.
As the last Ifrit fell, the might demon upon the throne spoke of his plan. He had sent the winged creature into battle while they had fought, to win a war that had been going on for centuries. Before the adventurers could make sense of this, they found themselves back in the field. But the fair was nowhere in sight, the only signs of it left behind were the smoldering ashes of the fortune tellers fire.
