::Drako waited in the main hall, looking for one person in particular. He didn't expect to see her though, for nobody knew he was home, alive even...::

Simply put, Duchess Raine Kinsei Cahler Alexander was not too swift on the uptake. Up in her tower, she sat in the cushioned windowsill overlooking the gardens, hugging her knees to her chest.
She wore what she usually wore, a high collared gown of black and lace. That mass of waistlength ebony was tied into a french twist, most unbecoming of a woman such as her self.
Raine was becoming quite the matriarch these days, with her hoard of children and reputation for misery.
With those storming blue eyes, once a brighter shade of sky, she stared distantly at the roses blooming far below her.

::He wouldn't wait any longer, it had already been too long. He walked to the stairs and ascended, his heart beating a little faster with every step. He knocked on the door, his heart stopped dead as he waited for an answer::

What was this? A knock at the door? Did her ears decieve her?
Raine furrowed her brow. It had been so long since someone had knocked upon her door. She slowly stood, smoothing her skirts with her hands on her way to the door.
When she opened it, those lovely eyes of hers nearly popped right out of her head. She stared in unblinking shock for quite a long moment at the man infront of her.
Her mouth fell agape, as if she somehow had enough of her wits about her to say something. Then, her eyes rolled back in her head and she fell ever so gracefully backward.

::He rushed forward and caught her before she hit the ground. He carried her to her bed and set her down, brushing the hair from her face. He sat down beside her, looking down at the beauty in which he sorely missed. He nudged her arm and leaned down, whispering into her ear:: Raine?

Her eyes settled themselves back to their usual places and then quickly narrowed, having forotten already who was at her door.
Realizing that it was Drako, she almost fainted again!
She shot up quickly; a bad idea, perhaps, but she could not help herself. There, sitting on her bed, was Drako Lathen. ...Back from the dead?
Instantly, she was wary. She scooted away from him, remembering all too well the last time she believed a man to be back from the dead. "How...I...what...whe-...how...?"
Yes, Raine, yes. You are oh so eloquent.

I'll explain...Don't worry. ::He sighed, seeing her reaction:: I know how this must look...I am back, and hopefully it is for good. Please, believe me. ::He inched closer, seeing how she would take it:: I'm a redemptor Raine, I made a deal with the source. As long as I serve him, I can stay...I'm mortal, flesh and blood. I'm here to help in the fight against evil...::He let his wings spread, hoping that it would be able to convince her to believe him::

She eyed those wings in awe. It was not that she believed him to be hostile, but the last time she allowed herself to believe that someone was back...well, the only son of Archelo Quincy Alexander II lay sleeping in his crib only a few feet away.
"The...source?" She rose an eyebrow, not understanding what he was talking about. As her sister, Solace, Raine was a devout Catholic. It was a stretch even to believe in the Earth Mother, were it not for her descending to GoldenMyst in the Forest that fateful day.

::He shook his head and sighed:: Don't worry about that, what is important is that I'm back. I mean, I know we're not going to just pick up everything where it left off....::He shook his head again and looked down to the bed in which they sat on. He slowly let his wings form into his back, so he appeared more human:: How have you been? We do have a lot to catch up on, if you wish to do so.

She opened her mouth as if to respond and then stopped herself, gesturing her hand level with her mouth as if pushing her life out with the flick of her fingers.
"There has been so much...I do not even know where to begin."
Finding it awkward to be seated on her bed, she stood and crossed to the door, motioning for him to follow so they could occupy the couch or armchairs in the sitting room right inside the door to her tower.
