Vincent, Revelations of Ryu

After a about a half an hour the wings would disperse into bright light and suddenly he would stand, that lack of emotion back upon his face as he would go to the windowsill, energy flowing forth from him just enough to bring her back to he could werap his arms around her shoulders to comfort her.

"Don't worry about it. I will just dissapear. Apparently everything was my fault... seems everything is always considered my fault in this Kingdom..." When he would let go of her he would turn, the energy that had let him hug her vanishing turning her back to her spirit form.

As he stood there with his back to her he just began to laugh. It was cold, void of emotion except for ironic humor. "All my fault. I am always the person who does wrong I guess." With that he would walk to Lai and smile picking her up with one arm. She would wrap her arms around his neck and he would kiss her cheek.

"Lai, everything I will teach you... take to heart and learn. Being cold is something you will learn, voiding all your emotions from all others view. Otherwise they feed off them making you weak..." He would smile and hug his daughter. "Family though is fine. Family can know how you feel."

He would begin training Lai, telling jokes here and there making her giggle, tickling her and smiling as he spent time with his daughter. But she was learning, seeming to hold some of what he was saying. Everyone always saw the dark side of Ryu, but when it came to his loved ones, he was possibly the most kind warmhearted man out there. He would keep looking to Lina, waiting for her to regain her composure.

After one time of looking from Lai then to lina he would look down and wince as if a painful thought hit him.

Lai would finally stand up smiling and begin to yell, her female scream echoing throughout the throne room, and without warning a aura of bright red light would surround her, Vincent watching intently, carefully as the aura would expole into a bright white light blinding Lina making her look away and when the light would fade, a green baby dragon would be standing thereabout Ryu's hieght and the length of about 13 feet, sapphire hues looking around, wings spreading wide and Ryu would simply smile.

"Quick learner, but there is still a lot more to learn..." and with that she would disperse into bright light and Lai would be on the ground on all fours gasping. "Now lets get you some rest my dear, dear daughter."

He would cradle his daughter in his arms and take her to his bed tucking her in then sitting beside the cahir where Lina was sitting.

Hours had passed, the night fading into day, and still Raine sat where the portal had appeared. Her eyes were bloodshot, her hair frazzled from her fingers raking it over and over and over.

She hadn't slept a wink, and chances are she wouldn't for a few days now. She had been thinking; thinking long and hard about her loves, her losses, and her life. She should write a book.

Anyhow, she occasionaly thrust her fist at the portal-place again, her curled fingers passing through air in rustle of fabric.

Avalon slept soundly, and whilst she was sleeping, Hazen crawled out of bed and out into the room to find his mother. Seeing as the door was tightly locked and barricaded, he pounded with his tiny fists.

At first, the sound fell on deaf ears, but Raine soon recognized the noise and rose to her feet. She straightened herself out so she wouldn't frighten her son and opened the door. Lai's twin clung to his mother's legs.

"Mama..." He nuzzled his face in her knees. "Lai not here...And Da."

'Da.' Everytime he said "Da" it was as though someone had dropkicked Raine in the stomach. She knelt down and drew Hazen tightly to her breast, inhaling a short, sharp breath. When he said this, he meant Archelo; and that was a wound on Raine that just wouldn't heal.

Lina would leave and he would look down.

"Wasnt trying to play martyr. Just trying to figure it all out..." With that he would pick up Lai and walk into a portal appearing behind Raine as she picked up Lai.

She would Hears Lai's voice. "Hi Mommy."

She would be still hugging Ryu and he would simply hold her looking at his daughter with that loving, proud gaze. He would nuzzle her forehead and she would giggle and he would look to Raine, those eyes seeming locked on her as he simply smiled softly and walked to her and Lai would keep her arms wrapped around his shoulders.

"She is making quick progress... she has made her first dragon transformation..." The smile would then turn into a look of understanding. "I really am sorry though for just taking her... but her next thing will be turning into her true form..." And with that his black hair would start to change turning dark blue from the normal black hair he just had.

Lai would look at him and smile having felt how his aura shifted and she would try, a light blue aura surrounding her in his arms and begin to her hair would begin to change, and in the end, her hair would be the same color blue as Vincent's and Raine would feel a great power radiating from Vincent but she could feel a much much smaller version of it in Lai.

Hazen spotted them first, and he let go of his mothers knees to raise his arms up at Lai and the man he recognized as his father. Seeing this, Raine raised her head.

"Ryu..." Sure, she meant to say Vincent, but she wasn't used to that yet. "I..." She didn't know what to say, so she settled for saying nothing.

Clouded blues stared up at him and their daughter, her hands folded nervously infront of her, fidgeting, ocasionaly raking through her frazzled hair.

Ryu would kneel to set down Lai and on her feet he would smile looking to her and kiss her forehead. "Mommy and daddy need to talk. Why don't you go get some sleep, okay? You will need more rest for your training." Lai would hug him say a few words of how she loved him which he would return and she would go to her and Hazen's room, her dark blue hair shimmering in the candlelight as it flows about her. As she walked she praticed the cold emotionlessness he taught her, standing straight like no one could harm her, her face void of all emotion and her hands in fists as she walked. He pace even adding to her hair seeming to float around her.

Watching her leave he would look back to Raine and lean over kissing Hazen's forehead, those hues looking to him as he smiled softly. "Raine... Lai is learning quite fast. She is very bright." He would take Hazen from her arms and take him into his room with Lai and tuck him in kissing his forehead once more then return to Raine.

"I know I have made mistakes in the past. But I won't leave now. I will help you raise our children Raine." With that he would look down and close his eyes. "I do apologize for my past action's. But please give me the chance to help you raise them... this way I can train Lai without having to take her away from you for temerary amounts of time."

[A Calming Spirit]

An unmistakable pressence was slowly, but surely seeping into the room, to surround Raine in an enveloping aura of unconditional and absolute love. The aura was warm and comforting and peaceful. It remained there, and a hazy image of a woman began to take shape around her.
Long black hair which was standing up and floating on it's own, moving when she moved. Dark brown eyes that quickly changed to a gold color. 'twas a very fimilar face to Raine. She wrapped her translucent arms around her sister. From her back sprouted a pair of snow white wings that came to enfold Raine and herself.
She smiled, lips curving upwards. She whispered into her sister's ear. "I'm ALWAYS with you.."
With that said, her translucent form vanished, but the aura remained.

Focused more on Vincent, she noticed that she felt very much at ease when the aura surrounded her. She was opening her mouth to respond to him when said spirit whispered in her ear.

This sent our fragile Raine into an emotional frenzy. The dead were talking to her tonight. She'd from everyone but Archelo, apparently. Crocodile tears streaming down her cheeks, she kept her mouth tightly shut, occasionally making whimpering noises. She hugged herself tightly, absolutely positive that at this point she had completely lost her mind.

Unaware of the spirit, Pain would be seen on Ryu's face as he stepped forard and hugged her. It would feel friendly. They had hugged before. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause pain. If I really am bringing you this much pain I will leave." With that he would turn to leave. "I just want to be here for you and our children..." The portal would open but tears of his own would be streaming down his cheeks. "I just want to help you..."

Not having wanted to cause Ryu pain, but obviously having given him the wrong message, Raine flung her arms around him and clung for dear life.

"No, don't go, don't leave me, too...don't leave me again." The words flooded out of her mouth in one swift breath. She was panicking. There was so much happening in just that one night and her fragile state of mind just couldn't afford to let things go awry.

He would turn in her arms, wraping his own around her slender waist as he buried his head in her neck and shoulder, closing his eyes. "Then I won't leave. I will stay here to help you raise our children. Never again will I leave you Raine..."

Holding her felt right, she could feel his body relax, and his hair would turn back to its raven black. He was undeserving, but sometimes life had unexpected twists. You learn from your mistakes... and Ryu was now learning what mistakes cost. Never again would he make the same mistake for it would be asanine to lose Raine again, even if this was just his friendship she wanted.

"I won't leave again. I promise."
