Arms held her close as he listened to her words which had him confused a few moments. Then it dawned on him that it could have been one of the many tricks the demon could have played that she spoke of. He offered her a smile, "Everything is alright now. I stand here as proof that I am not dead."
Inside he couldn't help but to feel as if he were dead. Ever since his quick recovery at the pond a few of his fears came to life and regrets of what he had done in the past started eating at him.
He held that smile for his wife, while he was with her he wouldn't let her know that nothing got any better with the destruction of the Demon. For now all was peaceful and for that he was happy.

She looked tired as she stood clinging to him, but deep in those eyes, a spark of life came to her. He was alive! He was here, with her...and he wasn't dead. She, in all truth, couldn't fully believe it, even when her other enses told her otherwise. The gods had kept him safe, and brought him back from the dead to her? She didn't know the answer, but it didn't matter that much...all that did was that he was here with her.
A smile broke across those once sorrowful lips, her embracing him, hands sliding down his back, to his arms till they took his hands. Raising them to her lips she kissed them one by one, her looking up at him with all actions.
"I love you, Ashram Vercengetorix..." The words passed her lips in a whisper, as she watched his face for any signs that this was an illusion played from the insanity that festered her mind the past few days, but again nothing changed. He was her husband, the man she came to love fully, and even sacrificed her paladinship for him.
"How did you get here? How did you find me?" She spoke the questions that rambled in her mind, her dragging him to the bed, and making him sit, her coming to join him on his lap. "Oh!....Ummm I lost my paladinship. It was somethign that had to be done, but I don't have it anymore... I guess I have to start from scratch." She grinned as if she were happy with it, it seeming to be a new start for both of them.
Not once had she noticed his change, but he would tell her eventually what was going on, he always did in the end.

Sitting there on the bed with her he didn't nothing more than listen to her words and hold her. Even when she mentioned her loss of her paladinship he said nothing. He rested his head against her shoulder. Fatigue was coming down hard upon him, his body feeling numb.
As if her words finally had reached him he spoke a long moment after she spoke her last word, "Your easy to find, I could do it with my eyes closed from the most distant realms if I had to." He couldn't help to smile.
Slowly his eyes shut as everything started to become blurry. He was in need of rest, inside he wasn't feeling right. Of course he was going through some changes, ones he wouldn't be aware of until later on.
"You say you lost your paladinship.. what are you to do now?" It didn't matter to him that she lost her paladinship. He never thought of her as one to begin with. The only memories of her he kept was from the day he asked her to marry him. He had removed the memories of the days she was nothing more than an annoyance to him. As it was now he didn't know her outside of being his wife and friend.

As Ryu slept, words came from him, not understandable to those around him. His body was regenerating its energy naturally like a mortal and as soon as his body hit 15% of its power, he began to convulse as the brood genes within began to reactivate, and a horrible noise unheard by anyone who had ever met him now heard not screaming, not yelling, but painful shrieking. This pain would horrify those who even knew Ryu, for pain was never in his vocabulary.
A green aura of light would surround Ryu as his body began to regenerate quickly, all that energy spiking quickly.

"what will I do now? I don't know really, bt that is okay...maybe I can be some sort of ranger, or even a knight. Or een practice on my summoning. I mean think about it, what else am I really good at? I know my white magics, and my summons... Being a ranger..." She gave a shrug with a smile on her face, but then she pushed him back on the bed, her licking over his lips.
But everything was interrupted before it even started, witht he shreik that echoed through the halls of the castle she sat up quickly, her eyes snapping toward the door. Who in the- Blinking she slowly brought her gaze to Ashram in wonder, her not knowing who it came from at all. "Ummmm?" She held a blank look on her face, before she slid from his lap with curiousity. "Who was that?" Even with her mind cleared, she didn't make out the voices of those dear to her...not yet...
Moving to the door, she peeked her head out only to have noone in the halls. Odd, she could had sworn she heard someone cry out in pain. Shaking her head she closed the door softly before she turned back to Ashram. "I think the demon still seizes my mind, for I heard someone... My own imagination I guess."
Bare feet moved her back to the bed, her climbing up next to him, her smiling downward. "I'm so glad you are alive, what would I do without you?" At times she was close to ending her own life, but it was against her morals and ways of life.

"It wasn't your imagination." He heard the shrieking as well but it wasn't that that held his attention. Despite the strong feeling of fatigue he rose up off the bed after she had just gotten back onto it. "Stay here." He adjusted his cloak as he started towards the door.
Not once did he look back at her. Slowly he opened the door and he paused before stepping through. "I'll be back shortly." He moved through the door closing it behind him. He turned heading in the direction of Ryu's room. A few steps into the walk his form faded away.
Whether or not Ryu noticed Ash, he was standing beside the bed watching, arms folded across his chest. The glow of the green aura lit up Ash's expressionless face. Ash's eyes even looked to have taken on the color of the aura.
"It may not be your fault, but you need to be careful of who you expose this energy and power of yours to." He continued watching Ryu, he planned on taking in some of this energy as his own. He wasn't sure how well it would work for him but it was worth a shot. He only needed enough to sustain himself, it would take many days of rest to recover and he wasn't willing to waste those days laying in a bed.
Ash wasn't sure how long Ryu would be this way so he lowered himself onto his knees, his hand coming to rest on his lap, eyes closing and head tilting down. He mumbled a few words, an icy aura outlined his form. His left hand was brought up to draw a single symbol that represented Ryu's kind of energy. The symbol was made up of intertwined lines within an oval. The symbol glowed green showing it matched with Ryu.
Ash then drew a second symbol representing his own energy, upon completion it glowed blue showing it too was correct. Ash's symbol looked most like a scaled down tree branch without the leaves with the tips of the branches looking to fade off at the ends.
There was reason to why Ash's symbol looked as it did, just as Ryu's symbol looked as it did. Everyone had a different symbol to represent them, none would ever look the exact same. Ash was one of the few who could draw up these symbols. Perception is the key to this ability.
Now, with the two symbol floating infront of him a few more words were spoken, the symbols turned red and a growl from him shortly followed. It turned out to be energy he couldn't use as his own. His right hand waved away the symbols before standing. "Absolutely useless..."
He took a few steps back, the room becoming pitch black a moment while he made his exit and returned to the way it was afterward. Ash now stood in the hall infront of his door, fatigue overcame him. He took a chance at getting the energy from Ryu but ended up expending his own.
He opened the door forcing himself through the door. He closed the door standing there a moment. Before his wife could say anything a quiet "shhh..." made its way into her ear. Wiping a bead of swear from above his eyebrow he started to the bed once more. Once there, he layed face down on it. With a sigh he turned his head to look at her. "All is well in the castle.."

When Ashram reurned a worried look crossed her features, but it soon dismissed itself as he turned toward her. But the sudden tiredness that swept over him brought her brows to crease in wonder. "Ashram..." She fell silent, her waching him, fingers coming to brush a lock of his hair away that had soaked sweat from his forehead away. "What is wrong with you, and do not say nothing."
She sat up on the bed, the back of her hand touching his forehead, there was no fever, but the wetness was obviously felt. Pulling her hand away she looked down at him. "You are not goign to tell me are you?" At times she wished he would talk to her, but she knew he kept much from her. She didn't like that, the thought of secrets being held from her was like a stab to her chest.
Sitting back on her heels, she waited for him to answer, her staring down at him as if silently demanding to know what was going on with him. At the moment she fell deep into the wife mode, her hands coming to her hips, her face stern. "Talk to me, Ashram Vercengetorix.... And don't you dare lie to me, I have a right to know. I am your wife."

::she sat in the window seat and scratched Crystal's head...suddenly she saw Ash out of the corner of her eye and looked up...he said nothing as he stood next to Ryu...she nodded to him and then turned back to the window...she was not aware of what Ash was doing...she was mentally tired at this point and her main concern was the children and Ryu, who was still out...dawn would be coming soon and there was a lot to do...she laid her head on the window and her eyes drifted shut...::

Secrets. That is what Ashram was mostly made of. If him keeping a secret were a real stab to her chest, he had enough of them to kill her thousands of times over.
Only a few of his secrets were ever exposed. It was best he kept them to himself for what he knew could ruin the lives of those closest to him just as these secrets were ruining his. If someone needed to know something he would let them know.
Her words aggrivated him greatly. If he had the energy to leave he would have at this time for her sake. The look in his eyes and on his face was no longer the look of the loving husband she had come to know, but more of a look of someone who hated her greatly. He slowly pushed himself up off the bed onto his feet. His eyes never left her.
"I won't lie to you. You do not need to know what is going on." He pulled the wedding ring off his finger. Holding it up. "Even as my wife you have no right to know anything that goes on in my life. And if you wish to stand by that statement you made I will no longer remain with you as your husband." Even love couldn't pry Ash from his secrets. He truely would throw away the parts of his life he enjoys best. He had done it before and would do it again to protect his secrets.
This would have happened long ago but she never said anything like that to him and usually waited for him to tell her. His life was meant only for him. Only small parts could be shared with others. When the time was right he would show or speak of it. Now was not the time.

He was in his own little world now. food was his favourite thing, and when he was eating the world could end and he wouldn't even notice. "Mmm..." Taking a nice big bite out of a chicken leg that he had found.
