:Early one morning, in the main hall, a warm breeze would blow through as a fire would suddenly ignite in the fireplace. The flames, a normal orange color, would suddenly turn blue as a letter slowly floats out of the flames and lands on the nearest table. The letter reads:
To my dear friends,
I know it has been many months since I have seen you last. I hope this letter finds you all in good health. I have wandered across many lands, all in search for the true path my life is to take. As I wander, my thoughts regularly turn to home, for I fear for your safety. Many a rumor I have heard on my travels, a few concerning our fair kingdom. Most are mere gossip at best, but a few worry me, for they tell of a conspiracy, one that threatens the safety of the kingdom. That is all I know, but I will try and find out more. Ill try and return as soon as possible. I hope to see all of you safe upon my return
Your Friend and comrade,
Anduin Lothar

After finally getting Paul down for a nap, she takes the time to go downstairs and find something to eat. When passing the table in the main hall she spots a letter on the table. Looking around the empty hall, she picks it up and reads it. Eyes widen as she reads who the letter is from. That being more of shock than what the letter actually contains.
"Anduin... "
Tears weld in her eyes. She thought him to be lost after the whole 'Death' episode, never to be seen or heard from again. She wasn't there and no one really had told her what happened out there in the Mysts the day the Gods and Goddesses came down. All she knew was that Syn, Lina and Angel were out there and 'Death' was defeated. Nothing more.
Folding up the letter, she tucks it into the pocket in her skirt, forgetting all about eating for the time being, and makes her way back upstairs to the solar.
Moving along the bookcase, dragging her fingers on the bindings of each, she finally stops and pulls one off the shelf. A glance out the window then a glance to the ceiling as she makes the sign of the cross over her chest, she whispers. "Forgive me, Lord."
Opening the book, she leans back in the chair. Learning a spell quckly enough to find Anduin wasn't going to be easy.

:Anduin would find himself traveling through the Northern Mountains, snow swirling around him. He was bleeding from his left shoulder, where a bandit's sword had sliced through the muscle and struck against bone. Weak and exhausted, the once-mighty warrior would slowly drop to his knees. It had been a couple of weeks since he had sent that letter, and since then, had been waylaid twice by bandits, the second time receiving the severe wound to his shoulder. As he kneeled in the snow, he sensed movement around him. Slowly getting to his feet, Anduin would reach for his axe, only to have a heavy hand rest on his good shoulder. Before Anduin could turn, a familiar voice would speak to him: Chieftain, it is good to see thee alive....

You know...all of the moss on my statue isn't doing it for me....::He smiled, glancing over to Solace:: It's been a while love...and I have seen that the kingdom has seen better days. ::He looks around the room and shakes his head, seeing nobody there and signs of it being empty for quite a few weeks:: The buffet doesn't even come out anymore. ::He looked to the book she had and walked to her, placing his hand on her shoulder gently:: He'll come back, don't worry....

:: along the southern border of the kingdom, a dark rift would open spewing forth from its opening a dark mist would spread from it, conering a large area along the border. Then as fast as the rift appeared it would vanish. As the mist cleared a dark figure garbed in the darkest of robes would be standing there. As it looked around the lands, he wouldremember this place and the message he recieved from Anduin that gave him reason to return to these lands. He would then take a deep breath taking in the smell of the land and utter the words that he longed to speak.:: I have returned.

Startled by his voice, her head snaps up from the spell book she was reading. "Drako?" She blinks, then smiles. "Hey, the moss isn't my fault. Talk to the Sprites. That's their job." She moves the book aside and stands when he puts his hand on her shoulder. "Why put the buffet out when no one is around to eat any of the food. Don't want to waste it." Then she turns slowly and looks back at the spell book, then over her shoulder at him. "I hope you're right. But I still have to try to find him."

:A few weeks later, Anduin would running through the forests in Northern GoldenMyst, a wild light in his eyes as he would stop for a moment to rest. He had spent time with members of his old clan, who helped him recover from the serious injuries he had been dealt by the bandits some time ago. After parting ways with them about a week ago when he decided to head home. A few days after crossing into GoldenMyst, Anduin would find himself in the Sacred Grove, a placed by Nicho to meditate. Anduin had just entered the grove when, all of the sudden, he would find himself thrown through the air, and would find himself slamming into the altar in the center of the grove, breaking in two. He would slowly stand, drawing his longsword from the scabbard hanging at his side, stone-grey eyes glancing around, searching for his unseen foe. As he gazed around, he would sense something behind him, and, as he turned to see, an ebon hand would grasp his neck, lifting him into the air. Anduin would finally get a look at his opponent, and would see a burly demon. It was black all over, standing a half a head over Anduin, muscles bulging all over his body. The demon would let out a bloodthirsty roar as he would then throw proceed to throw Anduin again. This time though, Anduin would manage to land on his feet, sliding back another yard before coming to a stop. As he was about to charge at the creature, the creature would speak: Do not think about attacking me, Anduin Lothar. You cannot hope to defeat me. : Anduin would continue to hold his sword, his stone-grey eyes locked with the demon eyes as he stood there: Who are you, how do you know my name? : the demon would laugh, and as it did so, the ground around the demon would slowly heat up, as though the fires of Hell were about to erupt beneath them: You think that He would forget you, after all this time? You are a greater fool than He thought, human.: as the demon said that, Anduin would let out a battle cry, and would run foreward, the longsword emitting red flames as Anduin would swing the blade at the demon. With a laugh, the demon would catch the sword in his hand, letting out a slight hiss of pain as Anduin pulled the sword free. A purple ichor would drip from the longsword, which would hiss and bubble when it hit the ground. As Anduin was about to swing his sword again, the demon struck, moving with the speed of an arrow, the claws on its right hand would cut deep along the left side of Anduin's sword arm. Letting out a cry of pain, Anduin would roll to the side, blood dripping onto the handle of his sword before he let it drop to the ground. Before he could get to his feet, though, the demon would strike again, this time, the claws swiping along Anduin's torso. Anduin would fall back, dropping into a roll as he managed to get on his feet, though he was unable to stand. The demon would laugh as it towered over Anduin, a cruel grin on its face as it licked the blood off of its claws: I do not see why my master would have chosen your body . You are as weak as the rest of them...: before the demon could finish though, it would stagger back in pain, not realizing that, while it was gloating, Anduin had managed to draw a dagger from his belt, and, moving with a speed his wounded state belied, drove the dagger deep into the Demon's gut. Then, while the demon was howling in pain, Anduin would stick his hands into the ground, pouring his rage into a spell he had not used in many years: You have underestimated me, demon, and it will be your undoing: With those words, Anduin would let out a rage-filled cry as a sphere of fire emanated from where Anduin kneeled, rapidly expanding, devouring everything that it touched. The demon would let out one last cry as it was enveloped by the raging flames, then would disappear as the fires devoured everything in its path. The flames would then disappear, leaving a charred grove in its wake. After a few moments Anduin would slowly stand, then would slowly run out of the grove, his arm held over the deep cuts in his torso, a strange look on his face as headed north, blood leaving a trail for others to follow....:

::He winced as he was talking to Solace and looked towards the door:: The grove...Something happened. ::The first thing Drako did when he crossed the void was fuse himself with the kingdom to better protect it. He did the same with Raine...But that was another story. He glanced back to Solace and then to the book. It flew out of her hand, being replaced by another from the shelf. The book's pages flew by, stopping on one:: That's the one you're looking for, and hurry...It will be hard to cast

She blinks. "What? The Sacred Grove?" Suddenly she could feel in urgency in Drako's actions and in the tone of his voice. When he pulled the spell from her hands, she yelped, not expecting it. As the other book he pulled from the shelf landed in front of her, she watches as the pages fly open. Seeing the spell he was referring to, she looks up at him and stares. "That one? Wonderful." Then she grabs the book and tucks it under her arm. "Lead the way, I'll cast it from the book. Obviously, we don't have much time."

: A few hours after running away from the grove, Anduin would stop and take a rest, wearily sitting himself down against an ancient oak tree. He had travelled far in the few hours since the fight, yet his injuries had taken a toll, weakening him greatly.
After sitting down, Anduin would look down at his torso, looking at the damage the demon's claws did: Damn... why was that thing after me....: He would slowly press his good hand down upon the wounds. Closing his eyes slightly, Anduin would try and concentrate, his hand becoming like a piece of molten rock as he pressed it down upon the wound. Gritting his teeth at the intense pain, he would nonetheless hold his hand there, waiting a few moments before pulling it away. The wound was now burned closed, the skin around the wound blistered and red, though not too damaged as Anduin rested his head against the trunk of the tree.
As he sat there, tears would slide down his cheeks, though whether they were from the pain, or something else, he could not tell. His mind would go to his memories of when Death had possessed his body. Unable to block out the memories, he would be forced to remember each person Death killed, the horrible deeds that Death committed with his hands. As he remembered Death's evil deeds, he would remember the demon he had fought earlier.
As though his thoughts summoned the demon, it would appear before him. Most of its ebon skin had been burned away, purple ichor from its open wounds. Its leering face was also burned away partially, revealing tusk-like fangs as the demon laughed: You didnt think you could kill me that easily could you, human? : Anduin quickly got to his feet, though not quick enough, for the demon would reach out with its left arm and grab Anduin's shoulder. Anduin would struggle to break free of the demon's grip, but, in his weakened state, was unable to do so. He would grit his teeth as he spoke to the demon: Why do you continue to come after me? : the demon would let out a harsh laugh, as though he was asked a stupid question: Come now, as though you didnt know. Im here to kill you:Anduin would grab the demon's arm, and, taking the opportunity, would manage to through the demon over his shoulder, slamming it into the tree behind him. The tree would splinter as the demon hit it, the top part falling on top of the demon. Taking the opportunity, Anduin would run away, trying to get some distance between him and his pursuer.
