One moment she was clinging for dear life to Vincent Cambridge, the next she was falling straight through him to the floor. Distressed, Raine rolled onto her back, eyes darting all around the room for any sign of anyone.
When no one was there, that confirmed it in her mind that her sanity was gone like all of the men in her life.
Wide-eyed, she stared straight ahead at the ceiling, a limp noodle on the ground.

Almost as so as he had faded a portal opened and she would feel a familiar aura now and turn to see the Ryu she had once known, those sapphire hues looking to her as a small smile crossed those lips and he would scoop down to pick her up, cradling her into his arms as he walked toward her bedroom, laying her down gently as he tucked her in, that kind gaze just watching her as she looked at him. "I'm sorry for the sudden disappearance. Something had to be dealt with shall I say. Dear Raine, just get some rest. I will watch over our children. I told you, I won't leave your side unless you give me that order, okay?"
With that he would turn to leave her room, hand on the hilt of his sword to steady it as he just strided toward the door, beginning to pull it closed behind him.

Thinking maybe that now she was dreaming instead, she simply nodded her head like an obedient child and rolled to her side, curling up in a ball atop the comforter.
Avalon would wake soon, as she was the only one of the three who got a decent nights sleep. Lai was out like a light in the large room the three children shared. Hazen was curled up between her and Avalon; quite the picturesque sight.
The room was large, spanning floor of the northeastern tower with a few subchambers, one Raine's, the other belonging to her children, another housing Cherise; there was also a living room with a fire.

Ryu would take a seat upon the couch by the fire, his own energy drained from todays constant energy use. But he would not fall asleep, just sit there resting. Those sapphire hues just watched the fire, one hand running over the hilt of Ezrebrum as he yawned. It would be quite a few hours before he heard Avalon begin to stir and he would rise walking into the children's chamber, picking her up into his arms holding Avalon. And he would go back sitting on the couch, whispers to the child. "Mommy is sleeping but no worries, she has rested for about four hours now, won't be long before she wakes up."

"Who are you?" The ivory-skinned child with the deep amethyst eyes tilted her head to one side, much like her mother, and looked at the strange man in confusion. Strangely, she was not fearful.
Avalon had never met Ryu, but Hazen and Lai sometimes spoke of their father, and somehow it clicked in her infant mind that this was him.
Meanwhile, Raine rolled over to her other side in her bedroom. She stared straight ahead at the wall, squeezing her right arm under her head.
She yawned loudly then rolled to her back, staring at the ceiling instead. Thrusting both hands to either side of her head, she took a deep breath and let out a looong sigh.

Those sapphire hues would just look to Avalon kindly as he shook his head. "I am someone who cares about you, your siblings and mother. Just call me Vince okay?" Sighing he would look back to the fire. He just seemed to get lost in its flames, that constant sad look in his eyes as he shook his head still running his thumb down Ezrebrum's hilt.
Ryu could feel Raine stirring and he would just look to the cieling, those eyes lost and in pain. ~Just sleep Raine... the pain and confusion I have caused you today you could use the sleep.~

Gathering the blanket around herself, Raine rolled off the bed with a thud and shimmed to the doorway, poking her head out and hopefully unnoticed.
She watched Ryu with her and Archelo's daughter. Avalon smiled and put her tiny hands to his cheeks. "Vin! Vin!"
With a soft smile, Raine scooted further into the room to the foot of the couch and curled up there under the blanket.

He would pick up avalon after being called 'VinVin' and chuckle setting her on her feet a moment so he could cradle Raine laying her upon the couch, tucking in the blanket around her then take his seat upon the floor sitting Avalon on his lap. "Vin Vin huh? I like that. I like that a lot." Some of that saddness in those hues would fade as he sat there. He knew that he wasn't her father, but it felt incredible to have a child call him something cute like that. Like he acually had a family now. He knew that in truth, he was alone, but for some reason, that being alone now seemed like a torture in his soul. He could be with his children and Avalon, but the question of ever having a wife again, he couldn't see it hapening now. There was only one woman he wanted now and that was ruined due to his past actions.
"So, Avalon, can I call ya Ava?"

Raine curled into a ball on the couch, tugging the blankets up to her chin. She watched Avalon and Ryu with a soft smile on her face.
The midnight bue haired, deep amethyst eyed ideal mix of Raine and Archelo nodded her head with much enthusiasm. Avalon was very happy to have a new friend.
