"Ava it is then. So Ava, what do ya like to do?" He would just look at her and couldn't help but smile. He would brush some hair from her face as he glanced to Raine, that smile growing wider at seeing her eyes as he gave her s slight nod. Then he would look back to Ava awaiting her answer. "You like riding horses? Or maybe a dragon?" He would just close his eyes, having never felt this comfortable and relaxed in years. All those mucsles in his body seemed to relax.

Lai scared Avalon to death when she changed randomly a few times in the middle of the night. At the mention of dragons, Ava shook her head violently like an over-enthusiastic manga character.
Raine laughed a little into the blanket. This was Avalon displaying more of her mother than her father.

"Aw, no dragon's? Why not? You relise that dragon's are made of pure magic right? Why fear something that could protect you?" He would hug her and smile. "I will tell you what. After the sun rises, I'll take ya horseback riding okay?" He would look to Raine and smile. "If thats okay with you?"

"She's four years old...Aren't horses a bit...big?" Raine's voice was groggy, as she was hardly awake. Her eyes were half open, kind of squinty as she attempted to focus her eyesight on Ryu and Avalon.
Not even noing what horses were, Avalon bounced in place, clapping her hands.

He would just smirk. "Raine, I meant me and her on the same horse. She will be fine with me. You know I am a awesome rider." Looking back to Avalon he would grin, that trademark grin of mischiviousness that hadn't been seen in a long time. "You trust me right Ava? Horseback riding is fun. You'll be a step ahead of Lai and Hazen."
One hand would reach up touching Raines blanketed leg, in a friendly manner. "I will take good care of her if you say yes, if not I understand."

"If you insist." This was quickly followed up with a biiiiig yawn and Raine rose her arm and the blanket, the trademark sign of "gimme a freaking hug".

For a moment he would look lost, and in his mind he would dismiss his own want to hug her knowing she prolly wanted to hug her daughter and he would put Avalon into her mom's arms and sit back down upon the floor looking into the fire, those eyes still carrying that knidness, but lost look.

Raine smiled tiredly and held her youngest child tight to her, snuggling with her baby. She couldn't help but notice that look in Ryu's eyes before he placed Avalon in her arms and she looked away.
Ava, whose back was against her mother, watched VinVin curiously. Not understanding why he was left out of this "huggy moment" she lolled an arm over the side of the couch, right over his head.

He would look to Avalon, and rise to give her a quick hug, making sure not to touch Raine to offend her and he would kiss Ava's forehead. After the hug he would sit back down looking to the fire, something that would resemble his life. Whispering something to himself as he leaned his head back, not relising it was against Raines thigh as he looked at the cieling.

Feeling pressure on her thigh, Raine applied the energy crane her neck to see what he was doing. She contemplated shaking it, but the raven haired beauty was really too tired to care and let him stay there.
She would never admit it, but it was very comforting to have a man in her life again. Though she still mourned greatly the loss of Archelo each and every day, it was still pleasant to have Ryu around and the children sure didn't mind.
