I wasn't really disagreeing with Kyle on the banishment thing fully, just stating that I wouldn't ban Caelum or Summer on sight simply because I feel they have never violated any OOC rules on RPing.
As far as good RPers go, you get better the longer you do it. I think Nicho is a very good RPer, but I also think there are other greats within the walls. I've always thought Kia was a good role player with a deep character, and the same goes for Tona. I feel RPing good is based on your skill to interest others in your character, the ability to freshen things up so you're not always the same thing every few months, and your ability to stay IC which means never blending OOC.
Another style that makes you good is making a real character. When I see god like things floating around it doesn't matter how great a writer you are, it's boring.
A great character makes a great RPer, and a great character isn't made great by his or her strengths, but rather their weaknesses.

Paul, your very last line is something I've always believe really strongly in; it's guided my perception of RPing since day one.

I've never actually played D&D...Heard enough about it from my ex-boyfriend, though. ^^;; The only other RPG's I've played are those on Playstation. XD
I love that last line, Paul, and I, too try to base my RPing on that philosophy. That, and it's like writing a story. You want to loop people in to your character, make them want more, make it so they can relate...

That brings up an interesting point Paul, I doubt if Nicho's powers would be quite as extensive as they are now if he hadn't had to be responsible for so long. I've always tried to keep him restricted from being a god or demi-god in spite of the fact that he was raised by people that rolled 4d90-100 for everything when he was younger. As a toddler, Nicho rolled 1d3 for most things.
Let's face it, not everyone can be superman, and if everyone was, what would they do?
Nicho puts up a brave front, only a few people have ever seen him break down and cry like the boy that he still is. I certainly know greater spells than I've ever had him use, and even then, he usually gets help in casting the more powerful things that he has done, like resurections and laying the castle wards.
Not to mention that the powers that he does boast of have come to him over time, developing over the years rather than simply being created as a super powerful 'energy' being. (Oh, was that aimed at anyone in particular?)

I never was good at long posts:chuckles: Im getting better though, now able to do 2-post entrances. Sometimes I wasnt able to fill one post when I first started. See while most of you were playing D&D, I was playing a TCG called Magic: The Gathering, and collecting the books for the game.

Alright, I'm starting another thread to talk about RP games, let's keep this one on the subject of Banishment.

I don't think I would "click" Cae or Summer on sight. Anthony had grown Caelum a lot since he first started. I got so sick of everything being a reincarnation of something else. If they came in the room then it would be another SL to be addressed, while respecting the terms of the banishment.
Sometimes the drama gets a bit much, but you try to play through it.

Basically, what it boils down to is whether the person is disrupting the room or the RP.
In the case of James/J/Jamie, I know he is disruptive and would boot instantly. Also in the case of Alex Shadowgate, Hikuro and some others, regardless of what character they are playing.
Caelum should not be coming back "in" the castle, but he might pop into the room simply to post that he was riding by, thinking of someone, which is fine, unless he is caught on the grounds by someone in char, then he would have to be killed or chased off at the least. If he moded or did not comply with that, then I would say boot.
Summer was exiled for extreme rudness to an ambassador, it is possible she might wish to come visit her mother, Gelina, in which case provision might be allowed.
Again, this is only if people wish to RP with them. According to the banishment rules they are not allowed, period.
The best solution would be for them to return with another SN and another Char if they cannot abide staying away from the Kingdom.

But are the disruptive ones you have mentioned to be considered "banished muns"? As in, even new characters are to be booted instantly as soon as the mun is identified?
