You know...I keep reading this and I know I missed something.

It bothers me though. Do we all have to be so rabid with each other? Caelum's leaving....that was part of the deal. Another part of the deal with the election is that none of his followers would be punished.

I don't think that part was upheld.

Casting out a pregnant, distressed woman. That in my opinon was cruel.

Now obviously I am writing about IC things from and OOC point of view. Does that mean I am cross roleplaying?

I Don't think so. Maggie feels the same way. Nicho is Maggie's beloved charge, her favorite nephew. Honestly, she has a hard time seeing him in true authority, but Maggie also sees the old soul in that childs body and something about her hurts for him. She loves Nicho.

I think Kyle plays Nicho true to the character he created. Its what we all should do. When we are IC we have to be true to what we created, that doesn't mean our characters can't grow and change, but it means we don't let our personal feelings interfere.

That has been a huge problem in this game over and over again. We feel slighted OOC so we bring it out IC.

When we are in that world (meaning the game) we have to live in that world. But when the :::"s go away, and the brackets go down and we are truly OOC, we have to remember it is a game.

Sure we invest in it. We sometimes look at our characters and go, damn where did that come from? We sometimes get pissed because of something that happened to our character, but it needs to stay there.

Can we all just get off our high horses, play our best game, and stop beating each other and ourselves up over it?

I have a handfull of people I am close to OOC, as close as this internet world allows us to be anyway. A few of which I hate hurting IC because of our relationship.

One of my favorite roleplays happened when Maggie was in a DM during the mock OotM war. The character was a jerk. I was talking to the guy OOC the whole time, we had some great roleplays, and it led to Maggie marrying him and his mate. After a lot of roleplay Maggie found out that this guy was confused as to why she left the order.

That said. We rip each other up IC sometimes. It can't be all fluffy and warm and fuzzy. Life isn't that way. But do we have to do it OOC too?

Sometimes, Maggie just goes away. Its usually when my life is so busy that I haven't time to breathe. But I know where she is. She is with Kyo and their brood. Safe, happy, and working as a team. Sometimes I let her fade away because its too hard to keep who hates who IC and OOC straight, its easier to just disappear.

This isn't directed at anyone IC or OOC. I guess I am just sad to see the state of things.

It's never right, but OOC and IC are blurred at times. And that cannot be prevented past a certain extent. On Caelum and Summer coming back? No. Absolutely not. I love my hilton sis, so you can't pin my opinion on them staying out because of my dislike for Caelum-mun. And you know what? That's blurring IC and OOC.

We can't make exceptions for friends. Absolutely not. That's favoritism. Now. I'm going to go have a tamale. WOOT.

Are you certain we can't make exceptions for friends? How about leaving and coming back, how about death? Aren't those exceptions?

Don't get me wrong. I love the people involved, but once you set a precidence on something, its harder to draw the line.

Hmm... how many would be attempts at dethroning the King has Lina been involved in?

Should she be banished? This is not an attack but she and I were just as much involved in the situation with Caelum, as was Maggie. Although we would have never let Nicho die or be physically harmed.

There were a great many people that were behind Caelum and he almost pulled off the rebellion. Then there is the long list of people that were involved that at still in the kingdom. Should they be banished if they were outted?

I must say though there have also been worse offenses that were overlooked. People who had destroyed the castle or killed other members in petty circumstances.

But anyway... that is my preaching to the choir.

The only reason Nicho banished Summer too was because of the way she verbally attacked Riley, who at the time was a visiting ambassador, had it not been for that, she would not have been banished. But if that was the way she was going to be, then we did not need her around.

Hmm... Lots of topics being brought up here. Well first I'll address Kia's. She is absolutely right, about the exceptions not being made for friends thing. I mean it had to happen, I did it all the time. Technically it's not "picking favorates" on purpose, but when you bottom line it there's always people you like, and there's always people who get on your last nerve. Cherise states exceptions can't be made for friends, but it is absolutely true that exceptions are made.

Onto Maggie's, I totally agree about the mixing. I try not to play with people who mix too much because their characters seem to adopt split personalities. Myself, when I have a bad day I simply don't play. If I can play through it I will, but if I know I can't than I won't even atempt it. Paul's a confusing char as it is (on purpose), but he doesn't need another curve ball being thrown in.

Back to the subject. I explained to Mags mun what happened that night. I was like.. You were not there and this is what happened but remember that some people's characters should still have attachments for the banished ones. I am tired.. and I dont think I am making sense... woohoo!

Ok I am going to throw in my two cents here...So let me start with OOC...I really try hard not to mix IC and OOC...I will admit though when I am in a pissy mood I do play my other char...She is an outlet for the anger...As for Anth and Christina I miss them both...As muns they are great RP'ers and very interesting people...I was saddened to see them both leave...There were however some tatics that were used during the election I did not agree with...But I kept my mouth shut except when I talked to my sister...

IC Desari was very torn on what to do...To be one hundred percent honest she did not even vote...There are things that have happened or been said that she has not agreed with Nicho about and she made her opinion known...Does this mean she should be banished? In some peoples eyes yes she should...In others no she should not...Caelum was doing what he thought was best at the time...Summer being banished is something I do not agree with...Did she smart off to Riley? From what I understand yes...But did anyone look at the history behind Summer and Riley? No...And to be honest Desari is not to hip on Riley to begin with...Riley damn near killed Cae one night at RavensWood...These are all things that Desari felt was not taken into consideration when Summer was banished...As for Cae being banished it was made clear the night the rules for the election were decided...If he lost he was to leave GM...

So there it is all in a nutshell for me and my char...IC and OOC the whole mess bothered me and Desari...Can it be changed? I doubt it...Will it stop me from RP'ing with Anth and Christina? No...Will it stop Desari form being friends with them? No...
